They outclassed me, but scored some nice goals and forced me into errors. They also out possessed me. I wasn’t seeing this with higher width. I’d almost always have more of the ball. Is it line length you have at 100? I thought it was line height.

I did have length at 90. But with a narrow width I find 50 length is working well. I’m noticing less of the retreating with the narrow width. I wonder if the added congestion is resulting in less long bursting runs (which drags those defenders back).

Height I have at 100 yeah.

I’m having very enjoyable matches after the width adjustment. A lot more thinking involved, more interceptions, less end-to-end and some rewarding passing moves.

Unfortunately the most likely outcome from this feedback, no matter how nuanced and constructive, is the reversal of the patch changes and the end of all attempts to address the fouls question in FIFA 22. Status quo will be restored. 'We tried and they still moaned' will be EA's dominant thought. E.g. PES Productions' solution to similar complaints after the PES2020 demo (comment out the new lines of code and forget about the whole thing). I'm surprised EA even did this. If they do any more than this I'll be flabbergobsmackgasted.

Sadly, I agree - but part of me hopes that, as more and more people complain about deeper Career Mode problems (especially with screenshots and videos), the sooner they will reach the conclusion that Career Mode players need separate gameplay.

They won't resolve the bigger problem - referees and a total lack of realism when it comes to physical contact - because it's on purpose, to keep FUT players happy. They get fouls, because they lose their precious little tempers and start hacking people down...

Yeah but the trainer does give a visual aid (or a visual "assist" so to speak) so some people dont like when peope use it. Which is understandable. Pool and snooker games often split up their difficulties explicitly by seperating visual aids and no visual aids, even though actual gameplay is no less "assisted" in either

but this only concerns versus other humans. if you're playing offline then it doesn't really matter! 👍
 
I encountered a big bug in career mode. I'm at the beginning of the third season with my created club and playing the second year in the 2. Bundesliga but now I have the problem that I can't buy any player. Any player I'm interested in won't speak with me because "he's too good for the league". Even free players won't join me. Anyone else had this problem? I hope next season it's working normally again.

Yeah I saw that reported in the bug thread, it's possible you can fix that with Arnatku's live editor to increase the prestige or whatnot of your created team, haven't looked into it though, but I can search his discord for you.

Edit: Ok it seems that domestic prestige is the issue so if you change that to match the teams you're in the league with it should work?

Edit II: Apologies, just realised this is in the console thread, so of course cannot be fixed sadly, so until EA patch it create a club is completely unplayable, nice to see that EA's history of shoehorning new features into the game without bothering to test them continues to this day.

This is what I was saying the other day, constantly adjusting the game to make it more realistic or enjoyable or fix certain issues. Its a shame you can't just pick it up and play. I haven't adjusted much and do enjoy it however if the sliders do make it even more realistic and play better I can see why you all do it. However, I don't want to be constantly tweaking things
 
Im still enjoying this against the AI , mainly default sliders on semi. However my son is now going on 7 and into football so hes getting into this now and playing against someone in the same room is proper fun

If he even looks at the FUT icon for more than two seconds, throw that console in the bin. Don't take any chances.

CREATE A CLUB (12 BUGS):

- If you create 5 star club in Premier League you cannot by high rated players. Player won't move to a league that is not competitive enough for their skills.

- Create a Club gives you the option to set your squad age (very young, young, seasoned, etc.) but there's very little difference (if at all) between the squads you get when choosing different options.

- NIKE home kit resets to default after edit

- When selecting to customize the home kit you want, the away kit resets its customization and vice versa.

- Not possible to edit GK kit

- Not possible to add sponsors when you create a kit

- Team number do not have small league logos on them like other teams in same league (different font style)

- Papa John’s Trophy group stage – teams are missing if you use created club

- Not possible to create one-coloured kits because it won't allow you to choose the same colour for primary and secondary colour

- When creating your kit, it doesn't allow you to choose the same design, but with colours reversed, for your away kit

- Create a Club in Polish League - too many players have the same surname

- Upgrade your stadium (choose a bigger stadium). Then go to Office tab -> Finances -> Transactions -> and you can see that actual number of seats will not be increased. You will receive the same amount of money from ticket sales like when you had smaller stadium

The sheer audacity of EA is mindblowing, to tout a feature (and let's face it basically the only feature they could be bothered to add to career mode) and to release it riddled with bugs and half implemented ideas and probably not even bother fixing them, shameful and arrogant.

Agreed, I'm 40 and I had a friend over last night for a takeaway and then a couple of hours on pes 2021. At times, we were up off the sofa and storming around the room , top games. The usual fist pump after a close game. As he has really improved over the last few years , I don't play manual anymore...he was starting have more wins than me on versus mode lol

I'm threatening to rent a cinema with my mates to play a big PES 3/4/5/6 tournament. Surprisingly cheap to do...

what's the consensus for career mode. slow or normal game speed? i'm going with OS sliders ofc.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but it's nothing like 21 , at least not on next gen . 21 was terrible at best
 

FIFA 22 UK sales were 77% digital | UK Monthly Charts​


FIFA 22 dominated the UK September charts after one week on shelves, with launch sales up 10% over FIFA 21.

The latest data from GSD reveals that FIFA 22's physical boxed sales dropped 34% compared with last year's game. However, digital downloads grew 37%. Overall, 77% of FIFA 22's opening week sales were via digital stores.

EA has been heavily pushing the download version of the game, with the Ultimate Edition -- which allows players to access the game early -- only available via digital stores.

Last year, 62% of FIFA 21's sales were downloads. FIFA 21 was the first time more copies of a FIFA game was downloaded over being bought in a box (at launch). That number did shrink over time, however. By the end of its first year, FIFA 21's sales were 52% digital.
