FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

Ps5 from where? Trying to get one for my son!
Won a vip per order code for curry’s on Twitter.
If you follow this account, ps5 stock uk, they do random code drops and you just enter it. They also give updates on when certain shops advertise new stock.
Could not believe I was one of the 10 that was chosen out of 3000 entries

The amount of bugs on both pc and console for this game are quite laughable.
For instance on PC, during replays, you can't go forward or backward unless you use your mouse.
Yeah, its a bad start.
Some things makes you wonder how is it even possible for particular elements to be broken given they never been touched coming from F21 to F22..

Its really frustrating that every major patch means you need to start CM from scratch.

I had a good fun with my created team, which I only really wanted to test anyways. So it was Career Mode I knew I will abandon at some stage.
But Im itching to start proper CM now and we dont even know when it will be safe to do so, without encountering another major bug after a season or two.

Anyone else having issues with the game defaulting them to controller 2 or 3 even though I've only got one controller?

So annoying because I'm always yellow cursor, which I can't hardly see against the green pitch. The title update 2 patch notes don't mention this issue but I really wish they'd fix it.

Getting a few too many comfortable wins with Leyton Orient on Pro in Career mode, I switched the difficulty to World class. Just one game in, the AI was annoyingly fast for a mid table Division 2 team, especially in the passes which seem to require no thought. But at least the AI defenders started to track back when needed. Got a nice header that finally felt earned. 2-2 draw, I am likely to grind against this difficulty at least for now.

Thats what I did after last patch. Bumped it up to World Class. But I had to bring up the error and lower pass speed a bit to make AI less ping pongy. There's a nice balance to be had on World Class, with really enjoyable matches, but every difficulty change requires slider tweaks (at least in my experience)

Well pre patch i started a CM on world class with real sociedad with matts sliders and full manual. Played 4 lost 3 and drew 1. No more than 3 goals in each game. Struggled creating anything.

After the patch. Played 2, won 5-0 and 4-1. FUMA now feels more like semi assisted. Not looking promising this patch

OK so I spoke too soon, just lost 2-1 away vs granada and I chucked the kitchen sink at them in the 2nd half but couldn't get the equaliser. FUMA is definitely still weird now though

I'm only on the trial but I get that also. I moved the Series S to upstairs and it changed to the 2nd controller now 🧐

I don't think they changed anything to FUMA...I still suck 😁 that being said, FUMA on long balls is definitely semi, it has been like that since launch

Weirdly I've checked my settings a couple of times and finally noticed through balls were set to assisted, almost certain they weren't before. Switching it to manual has improved it, but I still think it feels that its much more forgiving somehow. I was terrible at FUMA, but then after the patch scored 9 goals in 2 games. Can't have just been the through balls. Standard passing seems easier. No way I've learned to play well on FUMA overnight 🤣

Wanted to start a new career with a big, to try superstar.. and this happened after the latest rosters update on Stadia:
Gioca - Stadia 23-10-2021 00-29-35.jpg

Every other team has fucked names like this as well lol. Happened to anyone else? I only saw another guy on twitter.

No idea. Some are very specific real player names, like Frattesi who plays in Sassuolo for example, probably it's just all nonsensically mixed up for error. It's also impossible they simply lose the license for all the players in the mid of the year and only for a platform I think. I'm sure even in the super rare circumstance something so apocalyptic like this would happen they just wouldn't sneak it up without say anything.

It looks like names are linked to wrong names two rows above in the database :)

I know some of you are sick of slider talk but if we can tweak the gameplay to a point where we can minimise issues and improve the experience, then I'm up for it. As @Emroth said the other day, FIFA is always going to need these tweaks. Especially this year I think it's worth spending the time!

Anyway, if anyone wants to test the sliders below, let me know if it's helping you with those counter attacks where the CBs and defenders just jockey along and let their attacking runner get right by them. I've changed sprint speed to 75/75 (from 10/10) and so far, I haven't seen it once. I haven't really looked for anything outside of this yet, so early days. If it works then possibly some other sliders might need tweaking to balance things out. Still testing...

Edit: I'm trying now also with 49/49 acceleration and that seems to help balance out any crazy speed issues and creates some nice momentum with players.

I was liking 10/10 sprint speed before, but was noticing that there wasn't any real difference between jog and sprint. This combination so far seems to make the gameplay more dynamic, with some more physical battles and a touch more ball separation which creates some nice organic moments. I'm also finding that you have to be more careful when deciding to sprint as you can get beaten very easily if not careful. On lower sprint speeds you can stay on the sprint button with less risk.

Edit 2: I'm liking this more and more. The game feels much more fluid and again, not seeing any craziness with speed or animations. I still haven't seen the CB jockey issue either, defenders seem to be really sprinting back. I think the line settings, especially width make the higher sprint speed a little more doable in general, as the distances don't allow you to just sprint right through.

These are what I'm currently testing with -

World Class, Slow, Manual.

Sprint Speed: 75/75
Acceleration: 49/49
Shot Error: 65/65
Pass Error: 52/52
Shot Speed: 49/49
Pass Speed: 29/29
Injury Frequency: 75/75
Injury Severity: 25/25
GK Ability: 50/50
Marking: 60/60
Run Frequency: 50/50
Line Height: 100/100
Line Length: 50/50
Line Width: 15/15
FB Positioning: 50/50
First Touch Error: 95/95

Power bar (for manual): 75

Very good sliders. I only changed pass speed from 29 to 40 for me (29 too slow in my opinion), and 30 for AI. It plays really nice and tight football.

Agree plays really good, but sprint speed at 75 makes the game a bit too fast for my liking. Also why power bar at 75? I've tried it and my god, balls are flying like rockets all over the place. :D Almost as if playing Fifa 16 with the R1 Pass always enabled

Try lowering sprint to your liking and see if that cb jockey has still gone. Did you find a value which worked?

Are you playing manual? I think it’s just a personal thing with the power bar. I don’t find it too hard to control for some reason. Manual has a lot slower power compared to semi or assisted.

Yes full manual. I haven't tried it with other values yet, just had a quick game in the morning to test your sliders. I will test it later :)
