FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

I tested the beta today, to sum up my feelings it reminds me a lot of fifa14 xbox360 version, wich FOR ME is a very good sign, game is a lot slower specially because passing was slowed down a lot... also speed battles seem more fair now, like they decreased the diference from a 90 sprint player against a 60 sprint player...

Really like what I saw...very promising!

Oh and for whoever is interested, Goodison Park camera was finally fixed :D

If these impressions are accurate, we could be in for a treat.

1. Replays. Very, very good. Replays slow fifa down so much they could remove 50% or more to make the game flow better, not make players bash X for 5 seconds everytime something happens ( :CURSE: ).

3 & 4. Harder passing. I hear people say this but videos show people ping pong passing a lot and still it looks very easy. i reserve judgement on this

What about night games? How it looks like now? Is it better than 15?
I mean lighting and graphicly, cause in 15 was horible.

Anyone know if Fifa 16 supports 21:9 ratio? I know Fifa 14 did. Did IGNITE engine take it away?

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

Erm this is the Fifa discussion thread :ANX:

So romantic :)
Some inboxes might be getting active here.

Haha yeah I hate it when they smirk after putting the flag up, makes me want to kick the twat in the head, I used to like it in old FIFA games where you could play on after the half/full time whistle for a few seconds, I used to try and smash the ref with ball, you could injure players as well if you 2 footed them and they would actually be subbed off at the start of the second half.

lol yeah, well since he doesn´t do it everytime my mate and me are like "is he? Is he? Come on do it! Yeeaaaahhhhh, he did it!" :D:D:D

I like this part a lot:
One thing every FIFA player hates more than anything is defending against pace. Even if you’re a fan of slapping the turbo chargers on, you’ve got to admit it’s terrifying to prevent when a solely quick player is deployed against you.
Now the game feels more technical, and less about sheer speed. Ball control, dribbling skills and sharp reactions are required to harness the joys of pace, something that is more evident now than on previous FIFA games. This should hopefully prevent your team from falling foul of Victor Ibarbo & Co. running wild all because of a little 90+ figure stamped next to their pace stats. Players need more than that to be successful on this FIFA.

Other stats need to have a lot more effect too.
I catch myself often looking for fast wingers when playing CM.
So, this sounds really good.
Also quite stupid in FUT, that you can make Speed Demons out of every player with those Skill cards (Hawk, or whatever they are called).

Number 2 about "defenders not being ghosts" looks good too!

I guess this could become a very good game.

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

Is that a night game? Looks like it with the shadows around the feet. The free colour of the grass looks improved.

Quick note.
What kind of moron kicks off and charges FORWARDS ? Obviously I already know the answer.. But still. Why would anyone ever do that? What a moron.

Gotta say, I do, because I know the kick-off bug (which someone who's played the beta says is still there) will allow me to score whether I'm playing the AI or another person.

I don't want that to be the case, but if they're not going to fix it, and I'm playing against someone who spams every exploit they can find, then...

Yes, i did notice that the pitch was brigher on night games, not just there yet, but definatly better than 15... also there are new weather conditions like Haze and Overcast, they change the day game lighting a bit wich is quite refreshing...

About the player models, every player seems ticker, at first i didnt like, but once i got used to it and I think they looked a bit better than the player models on 15. Another thing i noticed is that the stocky+tall Akinfenwa player model seem to be gone, that was ridiculous, they look more normal now.

Gotta say these basic bugs need sorting. They are in the game year after year and they are ignored. That bug plus the one two lofted ball from the kick off ruin the game for me.

Don't blame people for exploiting them though. Comes to a point when you have to just to compete.

If that's the most effective route to goal, why not?

Not condoning shitty playstyles, but if you're in a competitive match the incentive should always be to score. If the game is imbalanced enough for that to be a good tactics, then that's a coding problem, not the player.

I've had no issues with them in the past. My mate ordered 16 through them and got his codes.
I was just about to buy it myself but then realised it comes out earlier in the US so going to buy digital codes from Amazon.com instead now.

Yeah I just messaged my mate and he said he won't get the code until release so I think I'll go the American route. Need to get COD 3, a new live sub and FIFA so will save a few quid.
