There is less skating I suppose, but the weight of the players is the thing I'd say is the biggest improvement.

The foot planting was better in PES imo but still, the dribbling felt better in FIFA. :)

The most noticeable difference in gameplay is the weight that the players now have - it's something you notice straight from kick off.
The sprinting is very much toned down.
The dribbling and on the ball actions are one of my favourite new aspects - this no touch dribbling is not just a gimmick, believe me! I believe it will be very useful when playing human opponents. Matic was my favourite player from the GC demo, felt like a proper DM and his movements were very realistic (slow and powerful!).
Speaking of midfield, it feels a lot more organised and balanced, hopefully they don't screw it up in the final game.
Crossing is improved too, players seem to cross in space.
Defending mechanics are better, you can now cope with fast players!

I felt the shooting isn't that different, but it was already really good in 15.

If I'm going to create 20 different FB accounts to like their page on each profile, does it mean I'm going to get FIFA 16 for free? :THINK:


Does anybody know how many substitutions in a kick-off, friendly match mode we can do in FIFA 16? I know that in career's pre-season games we can swap up to 7 (?) players, however I'm wondering whether it's same in a normal, quick game.

The problem with FIFA had always been the A.I after FIFA 14. I hope they work on it and fix it and completely remove handicapness aka scripting. I hope they also play more varied and different every match based on the team tactics which was removed in FIFA 15 and I hope they don't have perfect passing accuracy. Since I have played around 600 matches on FIFA 15, these issues seems really prominent.

Hmm doubt it will get cheaper than that, very tempting, just tried Origin Mexico and it's $39.99/£25.69 wasn't 15 cheaper than that? Not sure if Mexico is still the cheapest Origin region but presumably it is...

Edit: just tried Origin Brazil and it's 129.9 Real/£23.78

Sliders are your friend, In my career mode im using Northampton and with the sliders I use its very realistic.

Yeah but changing pass accuracy on sliders makes them not being able to cross properly and a whole lot of other problems. It even makes good passer like Pirlo play the same like a League 2 player.

How much did you guys pay for FIFA 15 CD version?

By the way, I do not like to use Origin just because I have to download the game each time I want to get it installed up / reinstalled up. Especially while modding it, sometimes something goes wrong and the only way I can repair this up by is reinstalling the game. FIFA is not based on that huge files as GTA V is, so it's not taking 20 hours to get it downloaded, however, even 8GB takes some time till it's ready to use FIFA 15 again.

So that's why I'm wondering whether it's better to get a physical game this year.

My cost was $33.77/US with the 5% off. Sucks to have to use Origin, but haven't had any issues with mods, etc.

FIFA can't be installed from physical media anymore if I don't go wrong. :BLINK:

But there's the trick: once you've installed FIFA via Origin just backup its folder and voilà, you'll be able to reinstall it as many times as you want by just dragging it to the Origin folder and then verifying the installation from within Origin.

That's how I usually did with FIFA 12 and 14 when patching went wrong and the game wouldn't load anymore.

Completely wrong, sorry, I did loads of modding last year and sometimes broke the game, but didn't redownload it a single time, all you do is download the game the first time and install updates, then make a backup on another drive/folder of your Fifa install, if it breaks delete the broken folder and copy your backup over, simple :)

Is it me or the pitch has no pattern whatsoever? Maybe that's the reason it looks a little dull.

Other than that, I think it has improved compared to older FIFA titles. We're not there yet, but it looks a little better.

Could be but it's also a quite bad screen. Furthermore some guys from Gamescom told me that pitch degradation is not in FIFA 16 Demo but hopefully it should be back for the final game.

Last year I purchased from Origin Mexico for about £25 for the Deluxe Edition.

The couple of years before that I bought it from Origin India for about £13, but EA have stopped the Origin India loophole now.

CDKeys will no doubt be the cheapest place to buy the game from but they only ever provide the keys on release or the day before release.
Origin does have the advantage though, that you could use a Korean proxy last year and play the game about 4-5 days early.

There is this one stadium in the GC demo that had no pattern, as you can see above. The other 2 looked much better, but I suppose it's good to have some variety.

The night lighting in general is a big step forward from FIFA 15 (still room for improvement though).

Yeah, what you do is you give your login details to an approved FIFA Beta Advisor (I'm one of those) and I download it for you first to make sure it won't blow up your console or anything, and then after 7 days of testing, I can tell you how you download it.
