Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

On the subject of handballs, I've never had them work in 15. They're turned on but they've never worked.

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

When I play with friends we'd turn it off inside the box but leave it on outside the box - that was in previous years. I can't recall seeing the option anywhere in the settings this year though?

As said, they didn't bother to fix it since it was broken for some reason. I haven't checked the rules settings for a while now, but even if it's still there, it doesn't work and haven't worked since release.

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

Career Mode in FIFA 16 delivers two of our community's most requested feature updates and many other key changes. (Available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC only)

That´s acceptable and makes sense.

I just wish the devs of the other game would be aware of the fact that PC ain´t old gen :)

We had a period in which the roles were exactly specular though.

FIFA 07/FIFA 08 were plain PS2 ports on PC.
FIFA 09/FIFA 10 were "their own thing" because of PCs unable to handle blah blah blah (well, now THAT is where I already heard that part).
FIFA 11 for PC was FIFA 10 nextgen with updated kits/rosters.
FIFA 12 (after 5 bloody years) was finally on par with PS3 and Xbox360.

They finally got it right from there on: FIFA only went nextgen a couple of months after the release of FIFA 14 PC, so FIFA 15 is the first FIFA game for PC that could have been built using Ignite (and it was indeed, so we haven't been brought back this time by any means).

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

wtf wrong with gameplay videos? we got gameplay videos earlier last year i think.

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

a bit too relaxing wouldn't you say?

actually i loved the latest PGA Tour. we could play it 4 on couch, we could eat, drink, smoke meanwhile, didnt get anyone upset.

awhhh i miss those days when in cigarette breaks we were talking about how cool was the last match or whos gonna win our little tournament not about how annoying every football game year by year like nowdays

Absolutely true, yeah!
It was a mess on PC before :)

:)) nah, golf just ain't my thing. love walking across the green though cause it reminds me of the pitch.

i don't really think those times will ever come back. games nowadays just feel different. someone here once mentioned that we are the once that changed. I doubt that. I play the older games very often and they still give me a satisfaction that these new ones just can't.

Being nitpicky again here, but... Look at Villa's right arm, the sleeve has a little bulge, plus different players have different shades on the shirts:

Maybe shirts are moving at least in cutscenes (provided that from wide cam we won't notice them moving anyway)?

This would be another nice addition. ;)

Sleeves already moves in FIFA 15 :)

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

Im not 10 so dont give a shit about FUT - Wheres the gameplay vids?
Actually it depends on the way you play.

There are people only doing skills from minute 1.

There are the LB+Y whores that only field players with pace 90+ (they'd put a pacey player even in goal if they could) and then press like no tomorrow and as soon as they get hold of the ball (thanks to the auto-tackling of course, they would never be able to win a ball back by themselves) unleash the inch-perfect 60 metres lofted through ball by any Average Joe directly to the foot of the usual Ibarbo/Aubameyang.

There are people who cheat on the market (glitched coins were everywhere), who cheat during the matches (Div.1 and Div.2 are full of them), who just can't behave and abuse you with words as soon as you score. This happens in every online game, being it FIFA or not.

And then there are people like me who enjoy the mode for what it is, do some market, and long to build hybrids that look and play decently (at least that's what I did in FIFA 14, I never touched FUT 15 as it became frustrating having to continuously deal with the last two categories above).

For this latter kind of people currently playing 'properly', draft would definitely be a nice addition as they could be able to experiment with different hybrid teams and they won't be forced to face the same sick Press->LBY->Ibarbameyang team match in match out.

Re: FIFA 16 News & Discussion Thread

Just watched Barca vs Chelsea on twitch, looks a lot slower pace and more realistic movement when on the ball. Much better defensive awareness as well. Looking forward to playing it now.
