FIFA 15 News & Discussion Thread

Had a go at lunch - presentation up a notch as you've all seen anyways, but it really does add. Some of the cut away shots are lovely.

Didnt realise it has proper refs in this time either? Had Chris Foy for my Liverpool/City game.

Was 0-0, but plenty of nice action and enough differences from 14 to make it fun.

If they are improving shooting and keepers on top of this, then will be awesome.

Oh, had a screaming of a shot from Joe Allen. Really fizzed about 3ft off the ground and didnt slow down or dip - looked excellent as it went wide.

Also had a pretty awful looking tackle from Henderson on Demechilas, real crunching half slide, half standing that I got booked for. All the presentation around that sort of stuff is great too.

Oh and the quick restarts are better with players moving the ball to the kick taker a lot quicker and the transitions are smoother. So much so that I didnt skip them half the time to add to the atmosphere as it really didnt impact the game much.

Set napoli to high pressure and higuain to get in behind and my word it made a huge difference. Very easy to do as well.

If they dont change it too much this will be a cracker.

EDIT - Love how players with pace can get away from others too.

Happy to oblige Rob!

Let's hope PC version is a newer build.

Then you'll be glad to hear that the keepers have been improved (less idiocy) for the later build. Demo is an older build then what I got to play. ;)

Played on World Class, slow speed and with manual controls, FIFA 15 is superb.

Just stay away from the assisted online children who only know these combinations. X, X, X, X, X, X, X, L1+Triangle, Square= GOAL.
Repeat...

Been playing the demo on manual and it's great. Can't wait to play like minded people online.

Can we somehow make a group from people in here who play with manual controls so we can play online?
On Fifa14 I never found anyone to play with manual online...

I hardly ever failed to find a manual game online (XB1).
Tried many times to find one, waiting for 15-20 mines every time, nothing. When I was removing the "manual controls" filter, I would get an opponent within seconds.
( PS3 and Xbox 360 )

I think if we swap ids in here or make a thread where we can post our id/platform/controls preference, we can easily find each other so we can have a game.

I just finished a few games of the demo and while I haven't decided my thoughts on the gameplay as a whole, here are some early impressions:

Neutral:
Gameplay seems faster on Normal speed

Pros:
-Presentation is better. Subs have a better cutscene, and the highlights at half and match end are excellent.
-Camera views are still very nice.
-Audio quality improved. More crowd interaction to what's going on on the pitch.
-Off the ball player movement seems to be kicked up a notch. A lot more player runs. Glad that's an option.
-Higher skilled dribblers have more natural dribbling moves. Less trick stick required to see their skill.

Cons:
-The team management screen is a mess. Scrolling through players to compare them while subbing is no longer possible (?). For example, if playing with a team you are unfamiliar with and wanted to put in players with all high workrates (or 3* dribbling, etc) you can no longer scroll through all the players quickly. You have to examine players one at a time. This will really suck for career mode.
-Gameplay seems less physical, although maybe because it's hard to catch those pesky dribblers now.
-Until I get used to it, the game feels too fast.

That's all I have now, but based on two games I'm not excited to go out and buy Fifa 15. Not that it's terrible, but that I still really like Fifa 14's gameplay.

Same here on PC.
Using Milan (my team) or Juventus (I just feel more comfortable with them than with any other team, even the more powerful ones), I struggle finding opponents (Div.4 and Div.5 is where I usually am).
And, when I get one, chances are connection gets reset for "non-matching squad files".
As soon as I turn controls to 'any', I have no difficulty of any kind finding an opponent. I get matched straight away.
