Isn't that what always happens when your opponent plays assisted and needs to score a goal?! It always happens :l1: + :triangle: or finesse shots.Those are the trade marks of assisted settings and that's what makes you wonder about defensive awareness or GK positioning ,right? You tell me you never thought about blaming the options instead of the AI? Yh the game must be balanced and I agree with that.But most people buy the game for that kind of imbalance.Not all fifa players bother with realistic football if football at all.
 
Is anybody else having a problem where your player just doesn't want to sprint... Sometimes they are stuck doing some sort of side stepping.
 
I've had a few online games which have stopped working at half time. The whistle goes but the menu doesn't come up and the timer counts down as it normally would but the game doesn't come back on for the second half.
I'm starting to think this is some kind of cheat to get the points from the match.
Anyone else had this happen to them?

I've explained a few posts back what I meant and think I covered that pretty well but if you don't like or don't agree then quite frankly, tough shit. Tough guy. This is basically what i call EA attitude. People complain something and you jump in the thread writing about how you're better then everyone. The game is good, cause i'm better then you. You see a video which describes well how this game have serious flaws with balance and again, i'm better then you. And i play on manual settings so you know what ? I'm better then you. It's nothing about controller settings ( i play manual since Fifa 09 ), it's about a mismatch between attacking/defendig. Even on manual, if you find a decent player abusing pace, you will have such an hard time trying to stop him. EA mantra, this year: easy to attack, difficult to defend.

Well TBH it's not like he runs around doing flip flaps and the like, I'd be more worried if they didn't get his agility and ball control reasonably high, this is what'll enable you to beat opponents with him on the ball!

Nothing to do with being better than anybody. I'm decent and that's about it. I've defended against fast players quite comfortably at times. Do I expect to stop them every time though? Not at all. EA attitude? Fuck me. Responses like that are laughable.

this game just needs more stats


passing ability why cant be divided to pass speed and pass accuracy? same goes for shot and some other stats. it would result more player individuality

OK finally I'm jumping aboard the defensive shambles bandwagon.

Against normal opposition the defensive side is fine. But against anyone with 90+ pace it's becomes intolerable.
 
Playing offline is like having sex by yourself. Too exhausting ... Online is playing vs a person and trying to exploit their weakness . Sometimes you have to lose lots to know where your weakness are..

Example:
I play counter attack
W/ defensive tactics. Once I get the ball everyone jumps to attack.
After learning those tactics.
I switch to possession w/ ultra attack tactics on the 70 min. mark.
I know most online players use High pressure by the 70 min they lose stamina . Online is like a chess game .
 
All this talk about who is better or not, it really is a moot point. The reason being is defense in this game is tied to man marking only - there is no zone marking. So being "better" is just a matter of who can expose the teammate AI's "force field" in which they are dragged out of their position.

Sliders are the ONLY way to enjoy this game offline correctly. You have to manufacture the right kind of defensive look, and it can only be done by raising the line height and lower line length while compensating the line width. Those are the fundamentals. Then lowering run frequency so players don't get sucked out of position.
 
Who was talking about being better? Not me fella. Me saying I prefer the manual configuration wasn't me saying I'm better so god knows what the guy was on about? The one guy applauding his comment calling me a tough guy aswell? Think he needs to go back and read what I typed and learn to interpret it properly.

I think offline is a pretty good Fifa. The more i play, the more i find little nice touches here and there. I'm using Orion sliders ( PS4 ). If EA patch IA on defenders and tone down a little bit on the speedy side, we'll have a good game of football. Maybe. But let's face the truth: since Fifa 12 EA is trying to appeal the huge FUT fanbase. What we call bug or glitch, those are design choices.
They could make a game better than this one. They won't.

If by the HP you mean the stamina in FUT, the simple solution is to just have multiple squads and alternate between them every few games.

Most decent EPL players are really expensive as it's the most common league for people to build squads on, but I have managed to build three entire teams just from the coins gained from the first few cups/divisions in the single player side of FUT. You just need to put all the players from your other team into the subs/reserves of the active team so they replenish their stamina.

My strongest side is a Bundesliga one, and I also have a Ligue 1 side as well as an all-silver one comprised of just English players. Most of the non-rare players outside the EPL can be had for little over 500 coins each, and even the few rare players I've added have rarely been much more than 1500.

I didn't think I'd enjoy FUT when playing mainly offline, but I've been pleasantly surprised.

I really like what they have done with celebrations this year esp when your teammates jump in and celebrate with the goal scorer.The atmosphere this year is unique and amazing.

Yeah, PES back in the PS2 days had the celebrations done really nicely in the way that it would mirror the match situation, and this FIFA has almost matched that.

They are a bit stupid online though when you see someone score a tap-in consolation goal in a heavy defeat and proceed to perform an exuberant celebration full of flips, or pull it back to 2-1 with 10 mins to go and they go running around celebrating when they should be grabbing the ball and taking it back to the centre circle etc... I would probably prefer they weren't interactive because they tend to be much more natural when you just leave the controller alone.

I only really bother to control any of it if I want to do something like celebrate with the guy who assisted if I score from a peach of a cross/pass or something which is a nice bit of immersion, but most people online make their celebrations look ridiculous :LOL:.
 
After a week with the full release of FIFA15 I'm starting to see the major faults in the game, like every year it is hard to discover them straight away due to all the new animations etc. Especially this year with all the stadiums and improved graphics, but after the novelty wears off it's clear that the engine on which this game is inherently floored. The defensive AI is so badly implemented, if you are up against a good human opponent it is impossible to defend as the response times of defenders vs attackers are massively unbalanced.

When playing the CPU the attacking team just tries to exploit your player switching, and is able to turn out of animations much quicker than the human controlled team. It seems like upping the difficulty level of the CPU is achieved by basically making your team much more unresponsive, a shortcut to achieving difficulty because the basic AI just isn't there! Also basically zero Team ID, PES can't come soon enough
 
First match of the season, away to Carlisle in the league cup, I win 4-0 (as I should), Carlisle made 10 tackles, gave away 5 fouls and had 3 players booked, wowzers! Fantastic improvement, I wasn't even trying deliberately to get fouled and we haven't even started with ini tweaks to make the AI more aggressive, big improvement!

I am always shocked by how many people have this stance.

There are many modes where you cannot ensure you are playing against manual players. Some modes lack the population, other modes lack the option altogether. I already find it hard, especially earlier in the day, to find manual matches on Seasons. If it's like this right now, it will be extremely hard next year, and virtually impossible by the Summer.

Suggesting manual as a solution to people's frustration is one thing, but outright rubbishing their complaints on the basis they aren't playing it is insane. If you enjoy manual and what it brings to FIFA, the last thing you should be doing is essentially protecting assisted (default) FIFA from complaint.
