FIFA 13

After playing a number of games, I think that the AI is quite repetitive and all teams play the same.

After playing a number of games I've found teams to play differently from each other in the EPL.

Did anyone go ahead and order from cddiski? If so, how long did it take to receive the key? I just placed an order and i'm wondering how long it'll take.

Took a couple of hours, it's evening now so may take longer.

I disagree with this, I'm seeing plenty of difference between teams. Even just within Ligue 1, the teams at the lower end of the table are clearly technically inferior and play a more direct style compared to the likes of Marseille and Lille.
What difficulty are you playing at?

Not sure how you found them different but I played teams from Saudi league to international teams and top European teams and I could hardly spot any difference on legendary.

Why do people turn up to Midnight openings?

If you really want the game early you would just pre-order it online.

what? like i did, with shopto, only to be gutted today when it didnt arrive, now all my mates are getting it before me, because they are turning up to your hated midnight openings!

Same here.

For all those who think the AI only plays long ball or quick counter-attack, all I can say is work on your defending. The AI is going to take what you give them, and when you shut off their passing lanes you'll see some nice build up.

That's not to say it's always easy to do because of FIFA's mechanics, and it can be really frustrating at times, but I've noticed a difference depending upon how I defend. If I play aggressive on defensive it lends to frantic counter-attack gameplay; if I sit back and play more cautious, the AI plays differently in response (if they can, depending upon the team).

Just something to consider...

Legendary here.

Yep, finding Legendary is a must or else defending is far too easy for me whilst marking too lax by the AI. But since Legendary is a big improvement in many aspects, you'd think that sliders could make a big difference on lower difficulty settings for those who don't like Legendary.

If you want a tighter, slower game, adjust the marking and other positional sliders.

Can we get a clearer definition of team differences? I see the same lob passes behind my defense, same crosses, same shooting. Actually just seeing all players control the same in the same gliding effect way takes all the feeling of difference for me.

Help needed please for those who had the Eaely Access and now the retail copy.

I'm loading in my data from the eaely access data and i'm stuck on the loading screen for 10 mins. This is not normal is it?

You're actually admitting that there is no difference by referring to other teams as "AI" and just that. I expect Man City to exploit every bit of space but not a 2 star team.

Some teams play from the back more than others;

Some teams press higher and more aggressively than others;

Some teams utilize wingers and width more than others;

Some teams utilize a strong striker more than others;

Some teams are better at maintaining possession than others.

---

Are the differences as drastic as we'd like them to be? Maybe not.

Are there differences at all? Yes, absolutely.

And don't forget that how teams will play largely depends upon how you play - if you defend aggressively high up the pitch, every team that isn't good enough to do otherwise - which depending upon your skill and difficulty settings could be every team in the game - will play a long ball game.

Just start over and it should all be loaded. For whatever reason it's freezing for a lot of us but it's still properly loading the early access data.

Agreed. Good post.

Game is mustard on World Class, full manual, tele cam zoomed out and a reasonable adjustment of sliders.

The point system in Be A Pro seem pretty messed up. Made one bad pass and I went from 10.0 to 6.5 :/

EA have been a little sloppy with the squads this year, they are usually very good at that. But Hulk and Witzel still in Portugal, van Der Wiel still at Ajax, don't know if there are more.

About the speed, I really think Slow is really slow. I normally think Fifa is too fast but not this year.

Got to say.

Im not feeling this at all and im absoloutely devastated. The demo was ace but this early access version doesnt feel right at all. In fact im noticing buggy things too like players skating a lot and not running properly. The shooting feels too fast and straight and seems to lack the variety of the demo.

I cant put my finger on it. Im hoping the retail version on disk is better? or is that wishful thinking?

:(

Cheers. Incidentally I just received it and redeemed my code on Origin. Seemed too good to be true but glad its all legit!

They have download latest squad update option i got it i have not checked transfers been glued to VP mode.

long time lurker, first time poster in the US who has been playing all manual fifa for years. Got the game yesterday and created some custom formations (28 to be exact) to assist the CPU play. Once I started career mode i noticed that the last three formations (26-28) become corrupted whenever i begin playing a game in-career.

It seems the only way to delete custom formations is by deleting all of your personal settings. If i delete personal settings I would assume I lose any custom tactics, achievements etc, but would I also lose any manual stadium re-assignments or stadium name changes I have made myself? I am assuming squads and any manual player updates will be preserved under the "squad" save. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Honestly, I don't know how anyone could enjoy the demo but not the full game.

If you thought highly of the demo then I'd say just give it time, cause there's no way it's worse than the demo but more likely an improvement.

Personally I didn't enjoy the demo - probably because I hated the short halves - but am enjoying the 360 retail version.
