Fifa 13: Career Mode Discussions

Latest Career Mode odditiy - in the 'Champions Cup' round of 16, I drew away at Ajax 2-2, then drew at home 0-0.

My players cheered/celebrated. One of my players did the 'it's a great victory boss' pop up chat. However. The match report said Ajax had won. And now I have no more future CL games scheduled.

I've gone back and checked, definitely won 2-2 in Amsterdam, and 0-0 at home. I played for the draw too!

It's really weird, it's recognised that away goals count more (as I didn't play extra time) but got the result wrong!
 
Is anyone having the same problem as with FIFA 12 where the opposition refuse to shoot?

I'm sick of seeing the opposing players walk into the area and still try to take players on when they are clean through on goal..

Most of my games my opposing team usually finish the game with about 2 shots...if i score first then usually i know i have definitely drawn or won as they never once score more than one goal..

It is very frustrating once again..

Also i have never once been subbed or left out of the first team even though i have scored one goal and have an ave rating of 5.8...(i'm really struggling lol)

Has anyone else been subbed yet?

Never happend to me mate i see the computer taken a fair few shots inside and outside the area iv also been subbed and dropped.

I should have said i'm on loan at Coventry...

i have played 9 games so far plus a few rounds of the capital cup and johnstones paint trophy,i've yet to see the opposition have one shout outside the box and no team has had more than 3 attempts..

Would it make a difference that i'm one of the best teams in the division and i'm the second best player at the club?

But saying that though teams like Portsmouth should definitely be getting more than 2 shots against my team especially at home :CONFUSE:

That really is pathetic

I've heard of this happening before and surely EA should have sorted this by now.
 
Well tweak the CPU sliders, passing error, shot accuracy, ball control, pass speed, will help humanise the AI whilst still allowing them to have more shots etc.

Ok thanks for the help mate,i'll give it a go and see what i come up with
 
Maybe try my sliders and start with world class, raise the AI's first touch error, to something like 70, leave yours alone until you're familiar with it, you'll win the ball back a bit easier from them so they won't destroy you, too much ;)

Yeah I've had 3 LCL tears and 2 broken ankles so far in my first season plus a few twisted knees and ankles, will have to lower it a little myself, definitely get more with a lower setting than 12 which had to be on 99 to get many injuries.

He was spot on IMO, some of our fans are morons, and he plays Fifa13 so can't be too bad ;)

Surprised I could loan Leandro, it's possible 13 is too easy to loan anyone you want even if they're not listed, only tried with younger players but nobody turned me down, even players only just signed by the clubs.

Dumić is going to get his chance to play regularly now as Kongolo just did his LCL :)

For you Liverpool fans out there, I just had my first meryseyside derby away at Goodison, in a mid-table clash :-)
Before the game, the news flash was that Suarez was rumoured to be dropped due to his lack of goals, he had'nt scored in 5 straight games. With Assaidi in great form (9 goals in all competitions) it was not looking good for the Uruguayan.

So the game starts, with terrific chants from both sets of supporters. Everton had the first major chance when Coleman curls one towards the top-corner, but for Reina to make a super-save (I know ...it's only a game...sigh).

Then Liverpool start settling in their passing game with Allen, Sahin, Suarez, Assaidi and Sterling combining to set up chances. Suarez misses again...and again.
30 minutes in, in a melee in the box, Suarez has a shot blocked, and then it comes back to him and he scores !! 10 minutes later, a rampaging Assaidi is set free by Suarez and his first time effort from 20 yards goes in....2:0 at half-time.
Everton come back in the 2nd half, and hit the post and force another great save.

But 10 minutes in, ...and this is why I just love this game....Liverpool are trying to pass the ball around to waste time, with Everton chasing the game and leaving gaps, when Liverpool pass the ball out of defence in such a realistic way, Allen finds Suarez who again just dinks one in to Assaidi who goes wide with the keeper facing him and smashes one to make it 3:0.

Great result, and at the news after the match shows "Suarez breaks his duck !"

You can really make good profits if you develop young players. In my first season as Villarreal I bought Jese from RM Castilla, young 71 rated winger for €4.3 million . During the season he became one of my key players, and by the end of the season he was rated 76. On the first day of my second season he spontaneously jumped up to a 78 rating. Then Real Madrid came and offered me €24 million for him! The assistant said Jese's value was somewhere between €24 - 30 million. I declined though and got Jese to sign an extension on his contract :)

While all of the young players I bought developed nicely, Jese was a bit unique, none of my other players developed as much as he did so quickly. Which I think is good, he was also the player in my squad with the highest overall rating over the whole season. But all of my youngsters now have higher transfer values then when I bought them initially.
 
Sterling was on the loan list so I enquired about him and Liverpool said they would sell him too me for 1.9 million I was shocked but couldn't sign him fast enough lol
He now plays for forest in the championship :)
 
I bought Eliseu from Malaga for a bargain £2.5m. Trying to buy Isco, also from Malaga but they wanted £15m for him. I need to grovel to my board in January :CONFUSE:
 
Isco is amazing.

Right first season, I won the CL with Milan, and came third. Oddly about 6 teams finished the Serie A season having played 37 games. They never played these final matches at all, despite checking,and the new season started.

Shite.

There seems to be some MAJOR bugs with career mode, not good.

Saying that, I am enjoying it, I am on loan to Port Vale and we are 1st at the moment, just scraping in and have about 4-5 games left I think.

The champions league bug for away goals mentioned earlier though is a big fuck up!

This is true. The clubs would have to agree an extended loan to cover the play offs.

Doubt that's ever going to be incorporated into a game.

Therefore, annoying as it may be, it's not a bug.
 
Although, I am reading about a playoff bug on the EA forums, if it's confirmed I believe it's something along the lines of you become manager of a new team during a season, you get them into the playoffs, the playoffs don't happen and your team stays where they are, unconfirmed and I could be reading it wrong (or the guy could be dumb) but worth keeping an eye out for...

There is no way that's been checked/sanctioned. If FIFA see that EA will be in for a royal bumming.
