Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

jesus, i dread when ronaldinho stops wearing bandana, i'm sure you would go nuts like so many others Ronaldinho_23, its vital like trying to play without spring button, virtually impossible and if u really care that much, why not just go to pc?

I don't get why EA still refuse to remove Delle Alpi from the game. It's been demolished 2 or 3 years ago and is no longer Juventus' stadium, yet it features in their trailer EVERY YEAR!

lol wepeeler makes part of the fifa dev team ? i remmber watching him in some fifa 09 video at ea back then . he had the chance to play it before anyone else on fifa forum s

Wepeeler and Hjerpseth highlight exactly what is wrong with Fifa; but they both think it's brilliant.

I've been watching Wepeeler videos since 2006, he just plays the game for fun. Don't try to think he's playing the game in a simulation style. I liked his videos, especially the FIFA 08 ones he did but the new fifa's world cup etc.. the game is too generic for me to really enjoy!

He's not like hypesth whatever who's obsessed with himself and gets his mates to play like shit while he skills them! Obviously he's good at skills but i bet he loves it when people call hima fifa god! . I love his excuse that his mates play for him sometimes and they are terrible  Yet why can't he let them just play unrranked then?

I can't have him talking sillynees and making every excuse under the sun for FIFA' not being a sim, pointing to shit like the 'tele' camera? He's never played played PES, ever, that's his problem there! His videos aren't football, it's fifa street!

Any wonder how he gets so many hits? EA heavily promote this guy lol, i remember one of his mates saying he was getting paid to make videos!

This is the problem. Nobody cares about a video in FIFA showcasing some half decent players but everyone loves the super, smash skills arcade ones Hypersth put together. The bosses what the game to stay that way so he can make more videos :(

Hjerpseths statistics arent that great, you can check his profile on EA Sports World. Tons of skill moves doesnt mean tons of wins. Whats wrong with it?

Thats not exactly true. Heikki has great realistic goals on manual and hes as famous as Hjerpseth:COOL:

Aaaaaaaaargh more defending shite.. actually looks worse than 10...

Someone explain to me what happens to the defence after 0:44 goal kick...

EDIT: also while your there WTF 1:44...

Rom pleeeeaaase tell me that this defensive AI is not going to be in the final game....

Fuck you EA!, i mean it! Fuck you, i just about to say, that this is surely the PC version because it looked IDENTICAl to FIFA 10 and there was no pro passing maker on the power bar, but NO i see the 'pro passing' marker there and a new flashy animation from Xavi.

Can anyone please at least show me a Full manual video or some video where the to players are trying to play football! I'm quite close to giving up with he game and just christening it as shit!

Can some PLEASE tell me where this game is going? Ho long are EA gong to keep this arcadeness for?

I'm not THAT pissed off. The game we've been watching in these vids is on normal, so at least slow is still there. Also watching the PES vids shows that the game always looks faster than it feels. I also think that the way the ball rolls smoothly on the surface of the pitch is a strong point compared to PES's passes that slow up as if the grass is a few inches thick.

It's just frustrating that it takes so much effort to get peoples ideas together and pass them on, talk about problems with the game, face daily resistance on those boards against things ranging from passing error and player individuality to trick error and making formation/tactics matter, field questions about a million and one things and talk about how the game seems to feel. While there are loads of people who want the game to become much more of a sim, there is always that current of shit I feel like I have to swim against to get to where I want FIFA to be. I never thought FIFA 11 would be perfect but it's so tiresome seeing things like "it's the community's fault the game is so fast", or "attributes will make everyone pick Barcelona" which is often combined with "why should people have to play with more than one team?" etc. The licenses are a poisoned chalice. If FIFA didn't have all the teams then the only way they would have survived till now would have been by making the game itself as committed to a particular vision as possible, rather than spreading the butter so thinly.

Again, I'm not saying FIFA 11 is shit all of a sudden as there are plenty of videos of people making PES 2011 look shit when it really isn't. I'm just venting because we (the hidden forum people) have been kept out of the loop since June and if we had seen some vids sooner then EA may have been able to make some of the changes people are screaming for now - though I asked for more and more passing error countless times to no avail.

Fundamentally though it's having to fight this casual-conscious inertia to make changes significant enough for them to have to break stride. The game will most likely be tweaked to fuckery in the first couple of months - I just hope they won't put a limit on how much they change the game just for the sake of the silent casual majority who probably won't care if changes are made anyway.

The amount of similar live action compilation videos on youtube says this is not isolated to videogames

:LMAO: Heikki scores the same goals over, and over and over again!! How many times has he scored that same 1st time volley goal? The same chipped goals? He's deluded if he thinks what he's playing is realistic, and :LOL; look at the defending.

There is not much you can do but make a stupid formation to keep your defense back but my god! It's hilarious how bad the defending is in the matches i've seen him play!

To cap it all off! He hates PES BUT he's playing the fucking beta (how the hell did he get selected?) and he's making videos on purposely looking for the bugs! Joke of a person!:SMUG:

They should start taking into consideration having two options the first time Fifa starts up: Casual or Simulation. Based on your choicethen , options like game speed, passing power guage etc are set and saved in your profile. Fifa 95-97 had something similar from what I remember.

For online, maybe give people the same 2 options each time they logon.

Ive seen great compilations from him, when he scores some beatiful teamplay goals, various longshots etc. But thats matter of opinion, if you dont like him, its your choice:))
People (better said kids) maybe think that Hjerpseth is the best player, but the rest knows that hes just the best freestyler. Someone likes it, someone no. Again, its a matter of opinion:PIRATE:

No slow option online in clubs or other modes. The normal setting has to be right across the board.. passing/game speed/assisted etc or the game loses half of its modes.

Plus on clubs we get the pleasure of 99 statted VP's after a month so they are as tall as Crouch strong as Drogba and Agile as Inietsa, dont forget to pop a green Afro on too..

We appreciate it Rom, we all want the same as you, don't give up getting on at them.

doesn't make him good, i could make amazing compilations but why spend 5-10 matches trying to do this and that and just cut out the bits that pull off? its really not hard.

Sliders will be in 12. There will be something of a divergence into several games from one disc.

That is a concern. We will have to see what happens there.

His goals are the equivalent of having your mates stand still in COD so you can snipe them from 1,000m and boast about what an uber sniper you are....

What I'm not liking is the close ranks action on the forum. I expect a lot of people to kinda say it looks fine either way, but some of the people who are saying it :/ It's not exactly going to help the cause. Frankly I'm sort of glad you're saying what you are as otherwise I might think I was going mad.

I'll go ahead and name a name. I remember that guy gcooley being at the forefront of EA bashing around FIFA 09 (with good reason imo) with all of its issues online. Suddenly it's turned into "well I can beat the pressure abusers easily by passing early (ping-pong?) so it's alright."

I'm paraphrasing but that's essentially what he was saying. Complete 180.

-----

Concerning FIFA 11, didn't like that most recent video. After hearing people saying "oh, it's just idiots playing the game, wait until the demo drops" with FIFA 10, I'm a bit a reluctant to listen to that this time around.

Am I the only one who doesn't really like the "skill move" with the L2 and R2 where players are essentially sliding to the side to evade tackles. There's one example where the CPU controlled Kaka slides between two players and then dribbles through 2 other guys. It could be the ice skating-looking running that does it, but I really hate the way it looks.

And Rom, in your earlier playtest, did you see any evidence of this passing error maybe being a bit like what was going on in the WC game (I only played the demo) where sometimes passes would appear to go astray or to the opposition in a completely random fashion? Either the guys playing in that Juex vid were retarded, or something like that was happening. Take a look at this pass and tell me how someone could possibly screw this up. Are they maybe playing on manual?

EA must be either incredibly confident or blindingly stupid to say that the speed hasn't been changed. In 4 days time, a fair number of the guildford testers + more are going to play this game.

Frankly I'm sort of glad you're saying what you are as otherwise I might think I was going mad. The idea that these videos show a game which has moved on enough from FIFA 10 to overcome the issues online, especially in Clubs? Not in a million years.

Primary effort on Monday for me is to test the game to breaking point. Assist v Manual. Shit team v Good team. High pressure v football realism. Semi v Assist. One-twos, pingponging, et cetera. We must not fall into the trap of playing the game like we want to play it. Frankly I suspect the general theme of my thoughts after it may be along the lines of:

"unleash all hell". I sincerely hope not - but I'm really not willing to overlook any of this stuff.

What really worries me is that I think the same trap is being fell into as last year. People are overlooking the issues big time. The few things which are really broken in FIFA 10... really don't look fixed here. I wasn't really expecting the assists/semi/manual issue to be fixed, I wasn't even that expectant that the pressure would be fixed, but I was at least fairly happy that the gamespeed and defensive AI would be vastly improved. Instead, I find it hard to see what has improved. There are clear areas where it's different, and yeh, in a minor sense improved, but the major problems.. hmm.

Fuck me, at least F1 2010 looks stellar :APPLAUD:
Exactly. The Emirates cannot be a time for people to go out and just play to enjoy the game, but to play it to see if EA have seriously addressed any of the major flaws that plagued the online last year.
