You can score them kind of goals in Fifa 08

i scored 2 rockets with Anderson at the weekend

yeah i don't get the fifa08 shooting complaints. sure there could be more variety but the power is fine. rockets should never be easy to score.

in the arena i've scored some scorchers!

Shooting has been improved in Euro. I've been shooting some pretty hard shots lately, just need to time it very late to avoid floaty shots. But I would like the shots to be a little bit faster when you almost max out the power meter.

Agree, the shooting is fine just needs more variation such as shots which keep rising or other daisy cutters which also fly in.

The "Revolutionary" feature doesnt work for me, Im not sure the Canadians understand but football doesnt work like that, one week Man Utd can win 6-0 another they can lose 1-0 to Stoke, It can happen this doesnt mean they should then make Stoke a better side than United for the week. the only time this (for me) works is for the January Window and the Summer window otherwise its pretty crap.

I think part of the problem for me as far as shooting goes is, I've been playing PES so long I've got used to barely tapping shoot and getting a rocket into the top corner. In the arena I remember to hold down shoot longer and get some nice shots into the top corner but when I'm actually playing I forget and get weak shots.

But it's not confirmed right? I wouldn't worry, it wont be in the game. I mean why waste time on something no one has asked for.

If implemented well this stats thing could be very good, if it's done in a way that EA 'update' players they have gotten wrong, for instance, a lot may not be known on a new signing, he's given good dribbling, low pace, when infact he is the opposite, EA can mend this, same with a striker who's hit form, E.g. Adebayor this season.

it is at leipzig next month and I will be booking flights and tickets sometime next week to go if possible lol :)

it will never be showcased at e3 again me thinks as they prefer showing it off to an EU audience and also without all the other massive games upstaging it :P

Yea they completely and utterly ruined the fatigue model in Euro 2008 which I can't understand for the life of me... it was at least relatively decent in FIFA then Euro comes along and players never get tired! Didn't make sense...

And seriously I've played hundreds of games of Euro at this point and i had ONE multiplayer game where a player actually got taken out for the rest of the game, I was playing my brother and we both looked at each other astonished when it happened lol

All the improvements sound great so far but there are loads of little but important things we haven't heard or seen anything about yet...

There are many great PC sports titles. PES6, Tiger woods etc, Football manager.

Anyway, interesting to hear about using the mouse to point players where to go like on the wii. Not sure it will change our gaming forever though.

I wonder why it is so difficult to have 11 v 11. I would like to see a keeper mode where you basicaly had a different view on the game from your net and could try and save shots that came in.

gonna buy fifa08 again, getting bored of uefa 2008 and only playing national teams
