Fifa09 site went live for real, even though it's probably old news I'll paste some info here:

And no mention at all of any manager mode improvements, PC version lists manager mode improvements, so why doesn't the 360 version?

Listened to everyone except those who play manager mode?

So will Fifa09 feature FA Cup and Premiership matches being played on the same day again? Clubs buying players that they never play? Retired players being replaced by inappropriate players? Cup finals played at the stadium of the "home" team? AI teams being filled with players who're exhausted yet can magically run around full pace for 90 minutes?

:(( I doubt it Placebo or they would be crowing about it, playing preseason friendlies, nice to have it but they needed some major work doing to the manager side of things. :brick:

Pre-Season friendlies to be the 'new, groundbreaking' feature in Fifa 10!.

If there not banging on about it now then i cant see it being one of the 250 improvements!. Really hope im wrong though.

that doesnt say preseason frendlies are new, they just added new options...probably they expanded the preseason

online because that is a bigger/more important part of the game now
every single player game mode is good and expaned and improved except manager mode! (a mode I will never touch until they decide to put it online)

the problem with manager mode I have had the same style/format messages since 2004 I aint played manager mode since 2006 on my psp!

they need to reinvent it completely and have it so you can offline/online seemlessly whichever one you feel like using say I picked Inter and my European Semi final is vs Man Utd

I have a choice to play this match offline or go Online and battle it out with someone who is Man utd and in the Semi Final of the european championship :)


also they must have Tournament Mode!

4 teams/ 8 teams/ 16 teams/ 32 teams / 64 teams

and be able to format it like

Uefa CL/ Euro's World Cup etc or a Double UEFA CL or World CUp when you have 64 teams involved :)
and to solve any issues the result can only be confirmed by ea sports if the game has actually been completeted no d/c's etc unless they (Admin of the tournament enters the result)

Yeh Tim, basically when your playing Be A Pro and your friend comes around for example they can pop in and out whenever they like.

I never played it, does it just highlight another player, it dont go split screen or anything? as it will follow two players rather thn one?

On Euro 2008, once you chose AI players you couldn't change them halfway through if someone else wanted to play, have they said this will happen in FIFA?

Basically...

They are demoing Fifa 09 down the hall from me, just had a go and its fifa 08 but better. Speaking to one of the press guys we should be seeing more previews today/tomorrow.

well, its slightly slower (than UEFA 08) but the players feel more responsive and agile (turning the the ball better, changing direction quicker, played a couple more games and really started to get a feel for it. Its not radically different to 08 but they have definitely built on that and smoothed off the edges.

Couple of things I notices:

defenders are still strong and can take the ball off the attacker easily (as in 08) but the attacking team seem to run into space much better (pointing where they are going which is genius) so the through ball becomes more effective at opening up the defence.

There is a ref! who I managed to hit with the ball twice!
