Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

wow fifasoccerblog just post things we know. They don't even complain at anything. It looks like they just write EAs marketing lines.

Seriously why not tell us how YOU liked it. The only thing was about the mouse and keyboard. How about the speed of the game, is it arcady and more like pes? Best information seems to be from that operationsports forum where they don't just repeat what rutter says. FSB really is like WENB, everything is great and they don't dare bringing up the bad parts. Lame.

Those guys get a cut from fifa. They are not impartial. i don't trust a word they say including when they say "we are impartial".

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

I hope Fifa blog don't go the way of WENB and just talk pure bullshit even if the game is bad

Cant see that happening though, Fifa seems to have a more mature following :))

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

You do know its owned by the same people who own WENB though don't you?

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

What's up with the flare/glow thing up at the scoreboard to the left? Looks shit I hope they remove it.

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

nope dude we will deffo be getting footage before leipzig someone I know called weepeller from fifa 08 forums and works for EA recorded footage so there will deffo be vids prior to Leipzig to salivate over:w00t:

and hopefully today from the campus party!

Just seen his updated post

I'll get some pics up when I can. Hate to burst everyone's bubble but no gameplay videos. We were not allowed to photograph/video in the room, but I do have some video of EAC. GOOD NEWS - We will be getting assets shortly - new screenshots, gameplay video and even a "making of FIFA 09" series. The first will be about 10 min with an uncut 30 minute version to follow. I've heard the series will be about 8 or 9 videos long so look forward to that. I will release stuff as soon as I get it and don't worry, you guys will be the first to know.

Bad news about gameplay videos as i expected as there would of been videos from other people who been. But on good side seems EA going to be releasing alot of videos shortly on build up to release.

All we can rely on now is this Campus Party for videos we shall see.

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

...so...

we're all just...

waitin for vids now...

...rite?

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

thanks mate

you know, i dunno why they don't just rip out tiger wood's character editor feature and modify it for FIFA. it really is the best. i've made a ridiculously accurate looking version of myself...

with a pimp hat :D

thanks for that youtube vid btw Placebo. :)

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

Dam cant find video so annoying when you see loads of Spore videos from event but not Fifa one. :((

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

looks promising so far, i still hope PC version could be better, even not gonna be as next-gen. ^^

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

Adding to the online thrust of the game is a new matchmaking system that allows players who play without any in-game assists to find one another and a new system for disconnects that - hopefully - discourages plug-pullers, as well. The EA Player Hub will serve as a lobby and a way to view other players, including identifying local players, players that use full manual controls, their “player type”, and of course, their reputation.

Nice one.

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

Hope everyone who visited pulled them up on the absolutely shocking inclusion of EA Sports logos on kits, looks ridiculous and completely detracts from the authenticity and aesthetics of the game. Yet again it's a case of EA's narcissism winning over authenticity (as with licensed stadiums in Fifa08 having EA Sports banners all over the place, and no I'm not talking about adboards).

I can't imagine them being there during release obviously?

It might just be a way to make people who see the pictures realize that it's not PES but EA's FIFA09.

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

Nice work Placebo, and thanks for the pictures slideshow! You are a legend moron, obviously :DD :w00t:.

Re: FIFA 09 Discussion Thread

Are you sure about that? Look at the licensed stadiums last year, shocking.

Well I posted a thread on the internal EA forums which we data editors use, hope it gets noticed.

Well, if they have licensed kits it would be moronic adding things and logos to them that aren't originally there. I can't comprehend why they'd do that I guess. :)

Can you point me to a picture that has the EA logo on the kit? I looked at like 2 pics yesterday to see if I could find the logo but no luck, so I didn't think more of it. :)

Did you see the licensed stadiums in Fifa08? Every tier had dozens of huge EA Sports logos on them, made them nothing like the real stadium they were supposed to be.
