English Premier League thread

They are human. They make mistakes.

If that went for you as a Manchester United fan woud you be complaining ? You have had plenty of decisions go your way.

Officials cannot do any better unless they get the help of technology.
My point exactly.

Anyway, I was going on a rantawqdif9waqefg]

EDIT: Hahaha, just when I was typing my post, the Saints scored again! (I'll leave it like that, it really was my reaction) :D

Bollocks.

Southampton played very well. Some sloppiness on their part cost them a point but their second was a bit of a gift too.

Martin Tyler. Once again confirms he is a terrible commentator. No I do realize it is Manchester City playing Southampton not QPR. How many more times will he cram in the EPL is the best league in the world nonsense.

And trying to elevate it to the level of the Olympics too. Terrible man.

Not to mention being saddled with that chancer Arry on MOTD along with the other mokes.

Southampton looked like some other team with that kit, though it wasn't Liverpool though. Because they scored two goals.

Did better than we did there this time last season, hammered 4-0.

....and relax.

Cracking game. These games are why the PL is the most entertaining and most watched league in the world.

Hope Kun is alright :CONFUSE:

I can't say enough how refreshing it is to watch Swansea. Two matches with 2 wins, 8 goals scored, 0 conceded!

And the way the team plays, with that organisation, movement and offensive mentality. Very different to what the likes of West Ham have to show and is nice to see them tryumphing against that.

3-0, good solid performance again, West Ham weren't much cop but we punished them just as we did with QPR last week. Great to give James Collins some stick and the ironic cheers after his fluffed backpass gave Michu another goal.

Well its only temporary, and Daily Mail readers will hate the sight of a foreign team at the top of the Prem but we'll savour our brief little moment in the sun. Top of the league for 2 hours at least, and to cap off a great day the Brizzle lot beat the Red Franchise Scum. Happy days! :D

most teams in the prem are foreign though..
anyway an english team won the welsh league last season haha.

Great to see Swansea doing so well post Rodgers, Allen and Sigurdsson.
Dembele was fantastic yesterday afternoon against Man Utd, best man on the pitch in the second half. Oh and i love Kagawa.

Dembélé was excellent. I was surprised by his conversion to a central midfielder last season but after a season playing there, he looks very good.

TNS, that lame excuse for a club. No fans, just built on one telecom company owner's whim to up sticks from Powys. Nobody likes them, they'll disappear soon. Strangely, people in the village of Oswestry think they're Welsh, despite the border boundary putting them in Shropshire. LOW is like Sunday League anyway, quality is shocking, no wonder Neath went bust trying to play ex-Jacks in their team on silly money and crowds of 150.

Enough of that stuff back to the Prem, and who is Brendan Rodgers?

In all honesty we're not missing him at all, nor Joe Allen for that matter, but even the most ardent Jack knows we've still got 36 games left to play so we can't get carried away at all. Some people have been quick to knock us back because we beat two teams who are expected to be in the relegation mixer, but if you'd asked me just after Buck Rodgers buggered off would we have two wins and a goal difference of +8, I'd have bitten your hand off! We don't seem to be missing Siggy either when we've got Michu, and seeing as Sinclair going looks like a dead cert because of his bimbo airbags missus being bored, I hope we get one or two good players on the cheap on transfer deadline day to add a bit of strength in depth. I think another striker would do, maybe another defender for some competition.

Yesterday was mad at the Liberty, it had it all. Goals, shit defending, dodgy ref, a red card, several missed chances, we drew 2-2 but the score could have been anything.

Chico Flores is a bit of a liability if you ask me, sent off for a ridiculous high tackle. Ashley Williams played a backpass that James Collins would have been proud of. Thank goodness for Michu, 4 goals in 3 games!

im not so sure it was for the tackle, more the fact that saha might have been behind the last man... at least the ref could spin it that way, seeing how he barley touched saha...

I watched the wigan match. I am very impressed with the tridente(sp) of kone, maloney and the Argentinian lad.. Maloney looks to be a really good signing. What I am not impressed with are the two holding middies... one of them needs to be more creative, I think wigan should have signend charlie adam instead of stoke(he fits there system better). The right back ramsis also looks fairly decent. Wigan play attractive football, stoke are ugly.

Wigan have a great coach who always want to play attractive football. If i'm not mistaken Swansea started to play theway they play now under Martinez.

Pulis is a more cynical manager, i don't like the way Stoke plays, but all in all he does a good job.

Swansea are fantastic to watch. I'm a Spurs fan, but i can't watch Swansea without wishing that they win that match...might that be an indication of something? I genuinely love them. If i remember well last year Spurs had a draw against Swansea and it didn't bother me even remotely... Michu seems a great signing. Hope they can continue to play like this andhave good results.

wigans manager started the blueprint at Swansea yet everyone thinks it was Rodgers for some reason.

Martinez is one of the best managers in the PL.

David Bentley to Russia! That's interesting. I love it when players move to foreign leagues when it's not very popular to do so.

The guy was 'all that' back in the day - I remember his super goal vs Arsenal with Spurs.

I thought Spurs was a good move for him at the time but I don't really no where it went wrong with Bentley in all honesty, looked a talent, I guess he just didn't have the drive and determination.

He scored a stunner against Arsenal and then we never heard of him. Was it Bentley or Harry that never used him like Pavelyuchenko (i liked him very much), Pienaar, Giovanni Dos Santos annd others...

Pavelyuchenko was a good player, I was also a fan (I always bought him in FIFA Career Mode!)

Dos Santos also should have been given more of a chance...

gerd I thought you was Celtic fan, not Spurs?

I kind of like Celtic, but i don't follow Scottish football.
Most people will say that i'm not a real fan because i like lots of teams.
In Belgium my favourite team is Racing Genk.
In Italy i love both Palermo and Atalanta.
In France Lille is my team (bu i also like Montpellier a lot).

But the team i prefer is Spurs and this because they often buy players i like: Modric and now they just bought two of my favourite Belgian players...

Looking forward for tonight's clash between Everton and Newcastle on Sky Sports HD.

I'm hoping for an Everton win - nothing much against Newcastle, more against their manager who doesn't have 5% of Moyes' class.

Pards? He's a great manager! Best in the league last season!

Odd guy to dislike - what did he do?

That shove to the back of the linesman was disgraceful, just to name one thing.

That's the kind of abuse a foreign manager wouldn't get away with.

I'm not talking about his accomplishments as manager here, just general behaviour and class. I think he's classless.

And I don't even know about players wives!
Care to elaborate more on that YoungGun?
