eFootball PES 2020 Discussion Thread (PC)

what do you mean? shouldn't that be downloaded automatically in steam?

BTW I noticed we got now video settings in system settings, wow it was not in previous PESes. All was set to medium like turf etc, I set it to high and now it looks good ;)
I would to know if you had stuttering after the update as well.
It seems that with the update you do not have stuttering problem anymore, right?

I think I got everything up to day on steam. I still feel some stuttering compared to demo but as I said I noticed that this year we have nice video settings in the game, in system settings. You can set resolution scale there, depth of field, blur, bloom, ambient occlusion, shadows, post processing, goal net, turf etc. The game set all those settings on medium, when I turned them to high, shadows look better, but they are still odd. I also immediately turned of bloom ;) what's your settings?

Sorry, just catching up on the thread, so apologies if you've solved this.
I've not played yet, but I had a similar issue last year (144hz freesync QHD on a GeForce card). The solution then was to set vsync in Nvidia control panel for the game to adaptive (half) and set the in-game framerate cap to 30fps. Super smooth and stopped the camera pan frame-drops.
Thanks. It could be helpful for 60Hz monitor owner too. I believe that there is a bad optimization from konami and that stuttering problem workaround would be the same for everyone.

I'm using 2560x1440 resoultion, 60fps, rendering option to high. It's the same setting I used with the demo. The demo ran like a charm, the game had a lot of slow down problem. My pc is power enough to manage the game to the full details settings (i7, 16Gb ram, rtx 2070 gpu). In fact, when I use fraps, I see always 60fps.

I also got 144hz monitor with gsync, and the demo was running flawlessly without any custom graphic settings (1070ti), while the full game just does not run so smooth.

Setting the in-game framerate cap to 30fps as the @Negatrev said looks wired. I remember there was a trick to disable gsync and set the desktop freshrate to 60hz and then run pes, but it was before 2019 I believe.

BTW I'll ask again, did you guys see the video settings in the system settings inside the game? What do you have set on there?

I'm not sure whether it affects other monitor speeds. On my 60hz TV running in 1080p (or as a test QHD, using the over-res method, whatever it's called) I just needed VSYNC adaptive (not half this time) and 60fps in game settings for smooth.

Rather than not optimised, I feel they might have only tested it on 60hz monitors/TVs (as that's the main console focus) and, for at least some setups, non-standard refresh rates are causing weird timing issue in how frames are displayed and/or how this coincides with vsync.

Like perhaps vsync, when reducing the framerate, is splitting down the frames to a number divisible cleanly into 60, but not 75/144, so it then has to keep splitting down the frames until is has a number divisible by both on the 60fps frame scaling options? But who knows, I'm just guessing.

For last year at least, you need to also change the nvidia control panel setting to VSYNC = Adaptive (half) or the 30fps change didn't actually help.

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying PES 2020, I have a quick question regarding OF's.

If I start a master league save using PES univese V1 OF when V2 releases will that apply to my master league save or will I have to start a fresh master league save for these changes to apply? Thanks in advance.

I believe changes to kits, names and so forth, so cosmetic changes, will update into your save. But any changes to rosters, starting line-ups, player stats or other mechanical changes will not carry over.

PS. I won't start my Master League until after the transfers update is finalised (meaning it's live and I'm happy it has the transfers I care about).

As said before, I have video settings in game and I set them all to high.

I may be blind but I'm having trouble finding your post, please can you link to it? if you find your post, there is the post number in the top right corner, which is clickable, so you can copy the link from there
download nvidia profile inspector. Set :
- frame rate limiter: set it to your maximum screen refresh rate (mine 75hz)
- preferred refreshrate: highest available
- triple buffering: on
- Vsync: force off
- vsync smooth behaviour: on
- vsync tear control: adaptive

I've looked deeply in Demo dribbling mechanics and there is a lot stuff that makes a huge difference:

Two of them are some AI reaction patterns:

1 In Demo tries to anticipate your move more than reading it instantly.
2 AI Defenders react to feints of any kind (stepovers, bodyfeints, fakeshot...)

IMO there're a lot of stuff that we won't be able to bring back. So the best we can't do it's put all our effort to claim for it in Social Media.

Smells like PES2019

Just two days ago they launched this FB page to gather feedback, I'd say get in here and let them know what you think!

They will remove the fouls we left with possibly :D

I have everything on High and On. I didn't realise you could set them in the game, I used GeForce Experience app to set them. I am on a samsung TV, so capped at 60HZ, but locked to that. I am on a 2080 Ti card, so am hoping someone brings out a level of detail mixer

Graphics and animations looks fantastic, it just needs a darker green pitch for me

The update has made the game a bit better in my eyes, there is less fouls for just touching another player and my games have been more enjoyable

Does anyone know if you can hit cross field balls that don't go 200 foot up in the air?

I am also getting to grips with dribbling, but keep hitting R2 and stopping

transfer update came out today

I turned off motion blur in video settings.
I have contrast at 58 and brightness at 52.

Then I added the frostbite Pitch via cpk, https://www.evo-web.co.uk/threads/frostbite-pitch-final-released.80630/ , bye bye ugly yellow radioactive pitches.
Hey, I also want to try that pitch mod, and I know how to install it with the usual CPK method. However, additional CPKs cause problems when playing online.

I think if I want to use this online, I need to import the modified files from the mod into the game's files. I know how to extract the contents of the mod from the CPK file, but I haven't been able to find how to import them into the game dt*** files. Any ideas? Thanks! :)

That's really odd

I get 32. I wonder if it's anything to do with trying the sider or turf patch

I noticed this yesterday & it's very odd...If you choose to play Chelsea vs Aston Villa you get 34 stadiums to choose from ..it says 36 but remember 2 of those are for home stadium & random...Now if you choose to play Chelsea vs Barcelona you get 50 stadiums to choose from ..it will say 52 but of course 2 are home stadium & random...very strange
