eFootball PES 2020 Discussion Thread (PC)

Yeah it says the same for me mate, but we'll just have to see, all we can go on right now is last years release time.
I hope they change it last minute i want to play tonight!!!!
The steam store refreshes/updates every day at 6pm BST (noon Central Time US) , any game that is added to the store or made availible for download at any point during the day has to wait for that time, it isn't anything to do with Konami. The only way to get around it is for the developer to give Valve a load of money to update the store earlier in the day but it doesn't happen often

Yeah I know that mate, but the fact remains 2019 was released around 1am on the 30th August, I know that because we were all waiting for it & posting in the discussion thread + 2019 app info gives the release time August 30, 2018 – 00:00:00 UTC = August 30,2018 - 1am UK
I'm not saying it WILL be released at 1am I'm just saying that's what happened last year.

"This product is a Pre-Order, it will be available here on or slightly before the release date of 10th September 2019."

True, that's the official quote from the CDKeys.com page if you have already preordered.

edit: @all - do not expect any kind of preload when it comes to PES on Steam. Although Steam does offer preloading as a general service, not one PES title in the past was set-up to allow preloads. I wouldn't expect it this year either.
So even if we do get the key earlier from cdkeys (or any other re-seller), we still wouldn't be able to start the download until game becomes officially available on Steam.

Yeh I tried that - I can see the controller image move in settings as I move the controller. Yet when I launch the game I can't get past the menu without touching the keyboard.

Anyways, I've given up now but as you rightly pointed out - wrong thread so I'll post up there if I come back to it.

Thanks.

Is DirectInput ticked in the controller settings?

You use DS4 Tool, don´t you?

The 6 PM (BST) release time is a new thing as we have seen with the demo. Previous years the game used to be released at 1 AM.

yes and yes.

just eliminating the issues re ps4 controller and PC connection, when I use a wired xbox 360 controller, directinput is selected with the controller selected in the drop down menu.

don't worry about it. the way I see it all these problems are happening to me for a (good) reason.

You can try to set direct input in the settings, click save reload settings, now set xinput, save.

Fired the demo up again, as I can´t wait...
I have posted a few pages back a problem with micro stuttering on the following rig:

i5 Core 4570S
Geforce 1050 Ti 4GB
8 GB RAM
WIN 7 64bit

Even on the lowest settings I had microstuttering problems.
Found the solution, it was the latest Geforce driver 436.15.
Deinstalled it, and installed the release before that, i.e. 436.02.

It´s smooth as butter now!

Just in case, if anyone else got the same problem.

I think steam wouldn't mess up the release time
If it said after 1 day and x hours, then it would be that
although I am a bit disappointed, the pc demo was released late compare to console
now the full game would also be late
still hope steam countdown is wrong, but how would they be wrong

I guess that's to avoid any of us getting a hold of the files beforehand?

Anyways, think it will be VITAL for us to figure out if Steam downloads 1.01 right away or if it goes from 1.00 to 1.01. And if so, whether we can revert it to 1.00.

Might be a game changer, given the circumstances because it looks like 1.01 makes the game quite worse while 1.00 is almost identical to the demo.

From past experiences, it was always day-one patched on Steam.

But given that trick with downgrading via old depos (didn't know that it is possible), maybe, just maybe there will be 1.00 depo? For the moment, paint me pessimistic.

Fingers crossed.
I'm thinking that if that's the case, it would be great if (after running some tests) we decided to use either one as the base for Patches. For example, if it turns out to be indeed true that 1.00 is better than 1.01 then maybe we could use that one for patches like Evo-Web Patch or similar. Just an idea :D

The game is already listed in the store, Konami can unlock it and upload branches whenever they want. Games don't have to comply to the store refresh times. Trust me I have 1500+ steam games I know.

The demo released after Store refresh hours both years, but the fullgame unlocked at 00:00:00 utc indeed last year.
Hopefully that will be the case, otherwise its a gnarly 18/19 hours wait over the rest

Still waiting on CDKey key. Stupid waiting.
I know I will not be able to download now. It will be even stupider for Steam to unlock the game and I still have no key lol

I haven't received the key yet either.
To be very, very honest I'm a little scared about what is going to happen seeing the PS4/XB1 thread. Hopefully we could still download version 1.0 off Steam with the "different depot" trick?
Here's hoping... The demo grew on me big time and I really, really hope I could play the same game again.
