Besides the funny part of it, this picture also offers its share of irony that sums up exactly what's going wrong with those lazy football games in the last decade or so with issues being amplified: You play some match, picking up let's say one of the top clubs like FC Barcelona vs the lowest from some danish league as Vejle or whatever. Teams are acting the same, players are same 11 runing bots from the GK through the CF, and the overall experience vs AI is equal in both ways if you swap to control lesser teams. All players can do the same animations, GKs or CBs can run as fast as a LW/RW, goals are copy/pasta as low or top corner, different stats are there on screen but on the field those doesn't matter a bit, stamina is infinite on all the bots even if the bar goes low that doesn't actual depletes, and the list goes on and on... Football games aren't about rich offline with small details anymore, it's just about teams with fancy cards and neons everywhere that makes eyes bleed and gives headache. Those shouldn't even be called football games, they should use terms as competitive royale gambling with football as a theme...
 
Just had a few games of efootball 2026 ver 5.0 on pc, full manual, top-player/superstar, and I have to say, the gameplay has improved again. Dribbling has had a noticeable improvement in regards to control and response time, but so has defending. So there is a good balance.

... then the new update just hit 5.0.1 or whatever its called... downloading right now.. hope it doesnt fk things up.

It doesn't help that there's no online marketplace to sell and buy players that you don't need anymore. With EAFC teams reset every year so it's easy for new players to start and be competitive meanwhile because of the live service model new players in Efootball with have a 78 rated Ben White going against 102 rated Pele and immediately rage quit. This sort of garbage used to be restricted to freemium mobile games but now every game requires you to pull out your credit card for stupid virtual currency. And of course the currency packs are weirdly priced they never tell you how many coins one player is worth and it's locked behind casino slot machine mechanics with hidden odds so you never end up with the player you want just pull out your credit card buy some fake coins and spin and you might end up with end level 105 rated Messi or 75 rated Harry Maguire. How I wish the EU would adopt what Belgium did and ban this gambling loot box trash.

I just created a new save on ps4 like 3 weeks ago (my main account is on steam) and I'm completely f2p and thanks to the free players they give I already have a competitive team. You just need to get your daily rewards mate.
and play myleague to use the xp booster to level up your players quickly. I do it while handing the control to ai so I can do other stuff while the players are leveling up.
 
Does anyone use that useless shoulder barge? Everytime i use it, I give away a foul and get booked? Am i missing a trick 😂
 
Any idea why there's fake German teams listed on PESMaster? They all have a manager listed but no players... Have i missed something lol
