eFootball (All Platforms)

Apparently, Konami is still using Fox Engine for the gameplay of eFootball. Unreal Engine is for managing the rendering engine and stuffs like presentation, scoreboard, menu etc... There you go.. Hybrid Engine {Fox & Unreal}.

As strider mentioned, stunning shot should be attributed to players with that particular skill, like Ruben Neves, cristiano and rashford (his knuckelball). Any player without such skill ingame should have a very low probability to hit a clean shot. Same with passes, all ground passes are like Mesut Özil precision, perfect weight and flow. Its the age old PES problem, no bobble at all. On the positive though, the ball seems to play like a separate entity when controlling, has a very natural feel to it. Overall, looking forward to next week.

Passes are fine. We have already seen that "stunning" passes are easily intercepted and not overpowered at all. But a free "stunning" shot, always goes in if you do it from inside or very close to the box. Keepers never parry them. That's a huge issue.

Hey guys.

Will the ingame Edit Mode be unlocked in the next 1.0 update?

I don't think I've seen Konami officials make a reference to it in a while.

Funny how he says we are no longer in PES but everything we have from eFootball gameplaywise is recycled from PES 2020 2021
They better adjust their website with correct info on licensing
The game is unplayable with unlicensed teams or less teams
Whats the purpose of DLC then?

In this video you can clearly see the differences in animation smoothness an how the old version was way better in terms of footplanting and foot placement.

I honestly can't see there being a ML for this.

If teams are limited, no sign of edit mode, who the hell would buy it as DLC? This game is geared up for online play, littered with in-game transactions.

I mean I've played a lot of football games in my 38 years and I'm struggling to remember one coming out with less teams available to play as, on release?

As for that stunning shot shit, soon as you go down that route, I'm done. What next, fill up the circle and press R1, X, R2, Y, when it's full and your player will morph into a 12 ft beast, who kicks the ball so hard it catches fire and nothing can stop it?

We’ll see thursday what licenses this brings

Why wouldn't they add it? It's easy money for Konami, and we know that's all they are about these days.

I just think their current team of two people are concentrating on making the game playable at least 😆.

I just can't see them having the 'depth' in terms of League's and Teams to make ML worth bothering with.

And I can see if they do wheel it out, it would be an after thought to this Dream Team stuff.

These companies don't want people playing offline. They want us online 24/7 playing other people, spending money on cosmetic aspects of the games, buying special player cards etc...

Just like in real life, football is ruined on the virtual scene also...

I don't know a game without the edit mode and considered as version 1.0

Imagine Adriano in Efootball

Imagine the credits roll is just TWO people.

It's usually larger because they include people working on licensing, menu, audio. But gameplay department i think it's actually no more than a couple of people. :DD

Of course there will be Edit mode. Just not at launch as they said "Spring", so full focus on gameplay.
That's how the game has survived until 2020, with kits. A fake PL, Liga, Half Serie A no thanks.

Plus they got the rights for having MLS players on their game (with their Fifpro for US players), but not the MLS licence... Editing mode will be.
When, no idea as they're trying to sort out their finger from their ass right now for spring...
But Edit Mode on PES is a big priority.

Fifa got only 8 or 9 fakes Serie A teams, it's acceptable and i tried Juve they made it at least like an authentic team so it's cool.
But if it was the case for 3 full leagues... PES case is clearly different with the probably 2 most followed leagues in the world more or less...

I wouldn't play neither if i can't at least rename the teams. "All about gameplay" isn't right, we said it because we always got tools to change it.

Well, for PC users it's not an issue. But console users... They're a lot. And like @StriderX9 said it's easy money. Even for Cup or League mode : easy to do.
ML a bit less easy. But don't forget it : Modes > Money.

I remember once @Chris Davies or someone uploaded PES 2014 on Drive or something a year or 2 ago, I remember I followed whatever was written and unfortunately in the end there was some issue with the exe not launching or something, later on checked that he had to delete it from drive... any other legit way of getting PES 2014? I've been intrigued by it for quite some time, and the closest I got was having an exe and all but the thing never launched. Apologies for being off topic (But maybe that's balanced out because PES 2014 looks to be better than efootball?)

The obession for "control" gradually screwed football games over the years and with stuff like the stunning things I think we are quickly arriving to the point of no return. Not that I care too much, I wouldn't play online all the same and it seems the offline isn't in their mind. But still sad to see, I guess.

I have to be honest tho, the latest videos looks nice from a purely cosmetic factor. But that's just it.

Well, not THAT easily. Like PES 2015 to 2021 :
pressing a bit toned down in comparison to "old school" PES, but double tap X for standing tackle, and teamate pressure / Not always 1v1 situations which is nothing like real football.

Like i said i'm playing old school PES : there's not like you got to let X and Square pushed to get the ball.
Not at all. You have to tempers your pressing, or what you'll get is not the ball but a fault. Press to get closer to the opponent but if you let it pushed, the pressing would crush physically the ball owner.

The pressing system can't be removed. or you run straight and it's open bar in many situation. No. Just be tempered like in PES 5 and before especially or you'll get a fault, related to stats of course. Note : was less in PES 6 and 2008 : just the pressing was less effective and you had to tackle more, but there was automatically less fault.
The favourite games from the golden era were the one that got big pressing. Point. You don't change something that work. You balance it.

@H_G thanks for sharing and make screenshot of what's interesting. I didn't wanted to check the whole videos posted about the game, as watching full matches on vids annoy me (i prefers resume/replay or goals sharing)

If we exclude the bad translation, but how to take the ball away easily is bad thing ? Don't get me wrong, I have easy games, but I'm sure they compere it to the current situation and at the moment the defensive game in eF is painfully ridiculous for a number of reasons. Now if I decide to keep the ball, believe me you can do absolutely nothing to stop me, but now maybe finally you will have some tools to do that is... a bad thing … ? Explain to me how fixing the worst defensive experiences in sports games is a bad news.
