eFootball (All Platforms)

Here we are, almost 2 weeks after release and instead of downloading "efootball" here I am enjoying a recently downloaded PES 2013 after a year of playing 2021. I guess that says a lot about how I feel about this new direction, or whatever you want to call it.

The good part is, I'm finding so many nice gems in these retro installments.. In this case looking back equals looking forward. :TU:

Passing and shooting are far too slow currently, it needs more fine tuning for sure. I think the default game speed should be +1 as well, so I hope that's another aspect they improve.

I was trying to play online last night but had no joy connecting (UK) at all, even clicking on the Match Events tile brought up the spinning € sign for a good 5 minutes.

Also, I don't know what's the difference. But there must be something right? The version is 0.9.4.0 unlike Steam version 0.9.0... So..? 🤷‍♂️

I tried everything I could think of to get the MS store version to work in full screen mode to no avail. The steam version went into full screen without any issue. Their is also no difference in terms of gameplay when comparing the MS store and Steam version.

DLC matey, you can buy curling shots, dipping shots and rising shots in the shot bundle.

Rabona, early crossing and low lofted pass are coming in March 2022, so hold on to your hat.

Hope not, I will be competing on the world e-sport stage by playing on my smart fridge running android, because I can get a bit hungry, and there are just not enough buttons.

In fact they should simplify it some more, don't want to modify the temperature by mistake as I dribble my way to a win.

maybe you can give this a try:
go to the games exe. right click it, select properties, select compatibilty, check the box next to "disable fullscreen optimizations". click "change high dpi settings" and select "by application".

Windows-10-disable-fullscreen-optimizations-per-app.png


click "apply" followed by "ok". start the game and check if fullsreen is working now. worked for me with several other games.

Whoever is in charge of that must be a masochist. Asking fans to report issues now, after that horrendous launch, after bugs being so obvious they don't even need to be reported, after so much good will thrown away.

The best part about it, they are just the translation dev team. Not "the real dev" who work directly at the game, lol.

Edit: Anyway, I tried640x480p with 50% resolution scale on top of that,

So the rendering resolution was: 320x240



However, I only managed to squeeze in 10-15 more frames than I could from 1920x1080p.

So it does seem like 980 Ti isn't enough to manage anything near 60 fps on eFootball during cutscenes. I was getting 40-45 fps. Personally got no complaints regarding this if it means they ported the next gen [ps5] version on pc. Will definitely prefer a next gen port over a ps4 port.

You can't alter these properties on the MS store version because you don't have direct access to the exe file.

i know, had that happen to me with MS flight sim.
so i got a tool that granted me access to that MSFS exe (its the folder you need permission to)!

atm, i'm not sure how my optimization process ended... have to take another look! :)

You mean this post? :LOL: Those games are like the bible for many of us. Was one of the best periods in my life, and the good part is that I don't need any emulator to run them on Win10, with some minor tweaks are working smooth as butter...

Whatever you try, but you can't get Full screen on either platforms. The fullscreen option is indeed going automatically to Borderless Fullscreen (Windowed Fullscreen) rather than Exclusive Full screen..

Don't worry too much, this game is disastrously optimised.

Even those who have rigs that could launch a rocket to saturn have frame drops in cutscenes.

It truly is extraordinary how unpolished this is.

Agreed. The game looks awful compared to PES 2021 with Mods. I'm getting 3x frame rate on PES 2021 than eFootball 2022.
Poorly optimized port. :(
