You really do forget how good PES was once upon a time when you revisit the classics.

I’ve been playing PES 5 all weekend and whilst it does show its age now, the gameplay, AI and tactical depth of the game is on another level to modern day PES.

I can’t stop playing it. A game which is 16 years old is a far better experience than PES 2021. It’s crazy.

And that’s why I have zero hope for PES 2022. Konami lost their way years ago, they’re not magically going to improve it now.

WE/PES used to be about the gameplay and AI. That’s what made it so special compared to FIFA at the time. The community would rally around and make the player faces, boot packs and kits.

Now it seems like Konami are those guys - who just focus on the faces, the boots and balls. Gameplay is an afterthought.

I played PES 2021 for an hour last week and it’s a borefest. It’s utter dross. Every single match feels the same, every goal I scored felt similar.

For PES 2022 to be worth buying (for me), it will have to be 1000 times better than PES 2020 and 2021. But it won’t be, so that’s it for the series unless a passionate, serious developer takes it off Konami’s hands, bins off myClub and takes the single player seriously again.

So true,plus no physicality (there's fouls but the collisions are absent just bounces off each other)
Me to played two games in a league mode three days ago,I stopped after that,so boring.
 
FIFA 22 on PC will be the last gen version because EA knows it can get away with shit like that.

Konami I swear to god all you need to do is have feature parity don't dumb the PC version down, people are actually getting angry at the state of FIFA on PC take on the opportunity for once. It's not even about graphics, it might be for many but that's not really the point you just need to have everyone be equal in a good game with good features and they'll be happy.

Konami may have had hundreds of opportunities, but could not take advantage of any of them. Put take advantages aside, they made the worst use of it.

Ok EA and their logic : Fifa 22 on PC = last gen, any other games from EA on PC = normal next-gen versions.

tbh we have to be fair ! Personally I have to admit that my RTX-Card is way too bad for those badass FIFA-Graphics 🙃

It's literally a screenshot from the game's Xbox store page. I think our Brazilian friend is pointing out the fact that EA are now advertising the stuff PES players have been dreaming of for years.

His tweet, when using Twitter's translation function, appears to claim that they are PES features at first glance. He doesn't mention FIFA, but he must be talking about it. @ThomasGOAL did you think the same as me?
 
I think that on PC will have the same new "FOOTBALL" engine, but maybe some NG futures will missing.
Btw EA's trademark " Football " I don't know how its works and how it's possible, or the trademark " Football ", as a new engine... I don't know.

Yes he mentions that is about FIFA when he answers someone who asks if its about PES 22. I understando portuguese so i can confirm he is talking about new features to come to FIFA career mode. Features that we had in PES since 15+ years. I guess they will merge some of UT features into offline career mode.

Well i will have 10h To test it for free when it comes out, with EA Play on my GPU, so its enough time to check if i like it or not. With PES 22 it will be a different story. Konami should make a deal with XBOX so that i could play PES 22 day one as well :D:D:D
 
You will get three new cutscenes, two new coaches and you will like it, they won't even fix regen system and you will have to accpet it, because that's the way Pes dev team works now.
Remember the usual excuses: it's a new engine, we had no time, it's a small dev team, next year it will be a lot better, three years cycle, etc etc... All of this is already known and it's really irritating because we know that is what it's going to happen.

I mean, do you really expect they are going to overhaul Master League?

I mean we still have all that via PES, EA are also stupid enough not to want to end PES misery by adding a better edit mode too, so essentially, we're the ones that are suffering by having two incomplete games that have less features than their preceedors from 2011-2013 for an example.

your spot on, im expecting nothing from master league for this years game, if anything they will take more features away and then re introduce it next year as a new feature
 
Well except for Stadium, it's the same as ML with fakes players to me. But whatever.
I don't see what's exceptionnal, i don't dream it from years.
About regens there was a Q/A survey dating from 2020 asking if we prefers to have ne
w players or keep the regens.
Personnally i don't think it's impossible for PES 2022 to introduce a "no regen" system.
That's the only think i really want for ML to be honest.... But my main concern, what i really dream of, is not about ML, but on edit mode.

-To be able to create teams/leagues instead of replacing the 101 fakes teams in game
-Also, gives us the option to put a market value on every created player (they've got a system based on Reputation/hidden stats + Overall... But it's not that accurate)
-And finally, the option to completely remove a player from participating in ML / Not even on Free agents. I'm sick of all those players with blank faces, no information, some don't even exist IRL (such as in AFC CL) and i just don't want them to flow all around the teams on ML. Just a way to get rid of some players. So one "Free Agents" section, and one "Deleted" section where you put some players you don't want to participate in Master league.

Also why they don't f***ing update AFC CL? I personnally think it's lazyness. Teams aren't right and dating from May/June 2020. I saw it once one PES 2020 that they've updated some faces (who were blank > means "0" in every parameters)

If i'm right or remember well, they used to up to date AFC on the first time it appeared in game... Don't remember if it was on PES 2014.
The system from 2010-2013 with Libertadores hidden in ML was way better and didn't caused any kind of duplicated players.

So two option : Or they update AFC (and we won't get duplicates) or they hide it like they've did before with Libertadores (as they were "locked" in a certain season such as AFC CL)
It's super simple. But i'm tired and don't like that much to have to remove some players from those teams for not having twice for example, like one year, twice one big player who moved for one year in Qatar then come back to for example, Celta Vigo.

PES won't be around next year if they mess the new game up as badly as some expect.

If they haven't overhauled the Master League for PES 2022, there is no point buying the game at 60 - 70 Euro. Especially if they have a Free version and are charging extra money for Offline modes.


This really is Konami's penalty shootout, "eFootball PES 2022". And we hope they are not England*.




*I support England, I thank all the team for an excellent tournament, just a sad end in many ways but lots of young talent there.
