eFootball (All Platforms)

I’m actually a little excited (because I may be a fucking idiot) to see what the 2023 update brings.

Don't get your hopes high at all. This is a title change of the same game. It will just have kit and roster updates for the handful of licensed teams, with new license agreements, I expect Juve to be gone, along with their stadium, and it will probably have the same weekly/monthly gameplay tweaks etc. Nothing too serious.

If I had to choose one change, it would be to optimize the game's performance. It runs worse than Cyberpunk while looking 10 years older. That's a big ask and won't happen before engine migration to UE5 or something.

This esports commentator brings up Manuel Neuer's offensive goalkeeper play style as reasoning for him coming out of his box and giving away this cheap goal. There was no reason at all for the AI goalkeeper to come out of his box and PARRY THE BALL LIKE THAT. There was no one on one situation with the goalkeeper. His defenders were tracking back and had ample time to clear the ball. Towards the end, the goalkeeper had a split second chance to dive and save the shot, but he kept on ball watching. People keep omitting this glaring problem with efootball, and that's the AI. I'm not asking for a super robust AI that mimics every single thing players do in real life, but for crying out loud, at least make the AI competent in the game.

Not even a goalkeeper such as de Gea would be that silly, allowing a cheap goa- ..... you know what, nevermind.

V1.0 had issues with responsiveness and it's AI, but apparently some are saying that was when efootball was at it's best. WTF? Some of the problems that where there in April are still in the game right now! If the game was good then, why release all these patches since April?

I'm going to wait to see what kind of update they release this month, but I will not be surprised if they leave the gameplay as is. Their priorities right now are coins, dream team and other online content. So more of the same. Another thing, I will not be shocked if they don't do anything spectacular with this game before we head into the World Cup this November.

I still think the game has potential and as a beta tester of FIFA 23, I can tell you that pile of dogshit is the biggest arcade footy experience since actual arcade games (but without the fun and nostalgia) and that’s offering nothing to us.
Be excited about changing 2022 for 2023
For those who keep defending "is not a mobile game" "is not a port from mobile to console"

Sick of this shit

"Posted 7 years ago".

No bro, i agree about many thing you said but it's NOT a mobile game.
Tons of stuffs in terms of visuals and even physics are by miles impossible to reproduce on a Mobile device.

It's obvious that not a single phone can handle a PS4/PS4 Pro game (more PS4 pro lookalike on PS5)

Download the EF2022 mobile, try it and compare FFS... If you talk and watch vids more than you play, you will never understood, and that's the case of many of people here : they don't play but talks a lot about shit. I read Janguv or Gabe when it comes to gameplay, but some aren't even trying.
I don't neither to be honest : but like @slamsoze it's a matter of total indifference as they don't purpose what i want : offline.

There's not quite high possibility they will migrate to PS5-SX gen with UE5 except if they continue... But it's a possibility, if they want to continue to build a game which fits with the current generation.

But for the moment... Nothing hurry, as they're not even one AAA game which trying to do something NG / except visually. They got at least 2-3 years or more to see coming real NG games before any switch, if the game isn't cancelled before that.

Even cancelled, the big hope we got is that PES productions console department will be FREE, PES name too. Even if they lost their prestige with the PS3 turning point : that EF2022 from august 2021 reminded everyone who was the first game that makes people feels Football.
PES is a name everyone knows like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Gran Turismo, GTA for sports games.

Time for another company to buy it, Seabass, Kei Matsuda, Kimura just for having someone with a plate to put money on the toilet.
Capcom, Namco or 2K very focus on games can do it. In a potential future where everything is shining and beautiful of course 🥰

Read again my post mate.
It's not against you. But you got a tunnel vision bro. Compare both games FFS and see by yourself! They're completely different. Cross-mobile cancelled.

Their plan was impossible since the start. Perhaps yes they tried to make it compatible first with Mobile, but they figured out it's impossible after conceived the game. That's all.

Now, they're SEPARATE, it's not hard to understand.... But you're way too stubborn with it. Say the game is shit, okay, say whatever you want but stop with that : there's a gigant proof. That's all, i'm done with that "it's a mobile game" talk.

And i don't like the game for reason i explained. Not defending. Just tired and sick reading the same fake stuffs since 5 months.
But i admit it, it's far more advanced for a mobile game even if it's bad. It's not even being objective, it's just keeping your calm and admit something. That's all. I want too to fired bullets at Konami, but with true arguments. Not something that is proven wrong since the EF2022 mobile, incompatibility, how fucking restricted and bad, laggy, the mobile game is etc.

(Now, if you're talking about cancelling the game for just focus on Mobile, that's another story)

Also : if any new company will buy PES (Especially Capcom... See SFV it's F2P game disguised which cost 69.99 euros) thinkin about it : they will make it better but re-transform it in a F2P game.
We're fucking doomed by that era. I can see a future with only RPG/Single player or Action/Adventures games will be paid. And some indies like Windjammers 2, low cost, or the 35th remake of Altered Beast.

If i could choose what to change… ahhh… forget it, I bet xenforo comments have a character limit! 😉

Apology manager is on vacation, it is mid-august :P

You'll know when he will be back at work, he will apologize for leaving on vacation.

And then he will have to login to steam / sony / microsoft & google play store, to change the name of the product from "e-football 22" to "e-football 23", so have some sympathy, that's a lot of work.

I dont mind the gameplay with some tweaks on formation and tactics. Pes are never playable for me on default since ages and the same applies for efootball. I learnt that from matt10l and klashman.

There are still legacy issues - on 14:04 the cpu rb just stop chasing richarlison for no reason. I dont think that will be fix anytime soon or ever.

I did skipped v1.1 until v.1.3 and notice less bugs present. I just hope we will get master league this month

its just scripting

the goal HAD to happen, whatever it is... because the attacker was a high rated player, the game was in the first 5 min or last 5 min of halves, someone didnt bought coins, it was trying to create a momentum for a comeback, etc

edit: yep 87 min, the goal had to happen no matter what, to bring emotion and fun right? lol

As fun as it is to think that, I don't think thats why the goal happened. Keeper exits are broken already, this isn't new.

Looks like a high res mobile game. Basic, bare bones physics and animations at the limit of what a mid-range phone can handle scaled up to 4k. Just sad that people accept this in the year 2022

In top of that player ID in eFootball isn't accurate: Maguire knows how to tackle, De Gea is aware that he is a goalkeeper, and Rashford can sprint better than my mother in law. But let's see the bright part, at least in eFootball Manchester United has a chance to win vs Brentford and also they can celebrate doing some crossplay like some K-Pop group:

Regardless of what I think of efootball and no ML,this actually looks like football.
I'm so damaged looking at FIFA 22 and Fifa 23 beta stuff that I'm quite surprised looking at this.
Not for me since I want a offline career, but just looking at it, looks pretty good

I updated the game today after 9 months. How the f...k am I supposed to play a damn friendly game with my own team vs cpu ai? I really can't find the menu. Only that dream team shit.
Guys it wasn't not a joke. It was a real question: am I getting older and Dumber and can't find the option for a friendly match or there is really NOT such an option?

Fortunately fifa has sliders for remedy while for ef the formation and tactic can be the 'slider'
