eFootball (All Platforms)

If their is not any offline mode or single vs AI mode or 5min locked what difference will make for people like me some tuned graphics? Anyone any idea if will be such mode?
If there is no online mode I, at least, hope that they will unlock the exhibition games times and teams.

LOL, I remember when they also said before the original release - "The final result was even more impressive than we had originally conceived".
That's what is so wild to me. What concept had they thought up that this release surpassed it?

An actual admission. I'm surprised.
I don't think it's much of an apology. As I wrote here:

They are saying that the main reason the game was shit is that they were just too gosh darn eager. Too keen to give us the goods, bless them! Not that they were following in the footsteps of a very scummy industry trend which deliberately releases broken piles of shit, expects people to lump up cash for it (remember they sold lootbox preorders lol), and promises fixes further down the rOaDmAp.

They eventually found out, like a lot of publishers and studios have been finding out of late, that many of their prospective customers have a tolerance level for shit quality end-products. Good. But that's all this is: not a mea culpa for trying to under perform and over sell in the first place; just a "oops we got caught out, and the real reason is we just wanted you to have a good thing". Fuck right off with that Konami. Back in the solemn.jpg box where you belong.

LOL, eu me lembro quando eles também disseram antes do lançamento original - "O resultado final foi ainda mais impressionante do que havíamos concebido originalmente".
"To offer football fans around the world an opportunity to enjoy a new football game, with unparalleled realism like never before."

Man, still no offline competitive content in this game, also no edit mode since it is definately in the files since a long time
They better release something good next week!

What with licensing deals? Will it simply be used for a FUT Spin off?

Can't wait to play with my team that has the logo of Arsenal, shirt of Barcelona, socks of Inter and shorts of Ajax -_-

Btw in the update annoncement, there's no (new) mention of the Cross Play
reharshing there is cross play when we know there will be cross many would view it as a redundant, but they mentioned about the server no longer been peer to peer should be enough to confirm that.

They should have named the version 0.93.

How a game is considered 1.0 without - even - the edit mode !!

And then when ML will arrive (2023, at this point), it will be the usual latest Pes ML, i guess, not a single improvement.

To be fair, Edit mode is mostly for offline modes, on this stage we will do not have any of this offline mod, its not even in near future.
All 11 vs 11 and coop lovers will be disappointed for long time, maybe will come next year or never.

i am sure durandil will do another data mining on version 1 for any hidden gems to come , since he already found edit mode.

I know, but you must know too that there is a lot old codes , assets and animation from old games, or they trying different shit, so that do not mean anything. Yes maybe before all this eFootball live service fiasco, they was having plan to release standard game. To have all modes + edit, full working edit mode, but everything that happens after that is like last-minute decisions and changes.

Again, edit mode is linked mostly for offline, and I don't think we'll see any soon in this sector, and why you will need edit mode for MyClub aka Dream Team crap.

Maybe after season update or possibly next year, but that will happen only if eFootball is a thing, and generates enough interest and players to make Konami invest more money and time in developing others, modes other than Dream Team.
Big company as Microsoft fails with Halo Infinity witch lose 95% of they players soon after release and now even PES 2021 has more players that Halo, why do you believe that Konami will succeed with eFootball as live service game to keep players with new and good content ?

Apology was the wrong word, you're right. Acknowledgment would be more appropriate.

Years ago, I told a friend I was afraid of the direction sports games were going with the ever increasing focus on online modes and mtx. I told him I was afraid we would get to a point where I would no longer be buying them as they would stop offering anything to me, as an almost exclusively offline player. Nowadays that feeling has extended beyond just sports gaming but gaming in general.

The level of predatory behavior I have seen across the industry is so alarming. For example, I recently got interested in giving destiny 2 a go only to learn that Bungie deliberately removed content from the game (and are about to do so again), content that players have paid for. That is absolutely inexcusable.

The prevalence of live service gaming as well leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Battlefield 2042 was a disaster, Vanguard/Warzone's major update as well. Both developers admitting they have to push plans back months to fix what should have been working on release.

Releasing quality products has stopped being the goal. Maximising revenue by milking a playerbase as long as they can is the focus. Games are often just digital casinos at this point and I want so little to do with it all.

As far as Konami and eFoot are concerned, they remind me of NASA in a way. Imagine if NASA were to build a spaceship and get to Mars and then the next year they fail to even build a toy rocket and then made promises about the future of said toy rocket. That's where we are.

It also reminds me of the game Anthem. Why? Because Konami will continue to work on this game. And you know what? It may end up in a decent place one day. But when that day comes, most people will likely have moved on. Yes yes I understand that FIFA isn't exactly the standard bearer for football games or sports games these days, but the truth is Konami's, eFootball's, competition isn't just FIFA. There's plenty of things people can do for fun. So if the product you're offering is subpar, best believe a lot of them will play something else.

Companies bank too much on a loyalty that, with a lot of players, doesn't actually exist. It's time they remember the best way to gain consumers, and keep them, is to make a quality products and maintain quality products.

because they have been doing successful so far with the previous years night not be at level of profit of fifa but games does turn revenue.
