eFootball (All Platforms)

Game is in a poor state of course but there are MOMENTS of real beauty in the play. I like the pace, ball feels free of the “on rails” mechanic that plagued the older titles. There is potential IMO
In every shity game in the wolrd have potential , its not about potential .

In this form its on the level of pes 2014 ( shity game with potential )

People saying this has potential. I’ll accept that, if it’s going to turn like 14 did.
But this time around its seemingly way more negative, and with the idea of this being a mobile game at its core, I just can’t see it turn into something good.
Haven’t played it, just trying to summarise the sentiments I’ve read

So, I've decided to give it a few more matches today, this time by myself.

You know how when you play a game with a friend, even if the game sucks, it's still a fun time? Well, yesterday I played with my dad, and while we laughed at most of the experience because we knew it was poor, there seemed to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Now that I've played by myself and had no one to laugh with, I realize that the light at the end of the tunnel was a train ready to run over me.

One thing I can't stand is the weight of it, PES always had weight, at least in FOX, and I liked that, because it was realistic and gave a feeling of inertia, here however it's just too much, in some moments it feels as if the players had the biggest meal of their lives before the match, it's sluggish and feels so off.

However, the worst thing to me, who loves to play possession, is the short passing, the pitch feels like mud, I can't believe how slow short passing is, it makes it so most of my riskier passes are intercepted because the defender has all of the time in the world to get to it and stick his foot out, so I'm stuck doing mostly safe passes that don't progress my play at all. One of the few reliable plays I have is a through pass on the wing, since it seems very open, however no matter how much of a head start my fast winger has it seems like the defender always catches him and tackles, no matter how old and slow they might be, it makes it feel so robotic.

I can't stand playing this, everything feels so sluggish and I can't pass properly because the ball feels as if it's rolling on mud and gets stuck, most of my goals feel like luck and it overall feels like there isn't much depth to anything, I've only played a few matches and it feels like I've already seen everything, the same things happening over and over, the same patterns of play, the same situations and outcomes, it's so predictable and boring.

In my previous post I compared this to PES2014, but when playing that demo all of those years back I had a lot more fun than this, PES2014 was never this sluggish, and the passing felt much better.

This is just a complete disaster of a launch, I don't care anymore if the ideas are decent, what matters is how they were executed, and they were executed horribly, I don't care if this will be more playable in a year or something, I don't want to play it, I'd rather play something else, and it depresses me, I never thought I'd feel this way about a new PES title, but here we are.

What were they thinking?

That gave me a good laugh, mate

i found this if help's someone:
For those who want to see the file structure with the Umodel program, I just found out the AES key. AES key eFootball 2022: 0x4552D45005DFE94964893F4925EC747D3D591401E060ED8B3D58BE5721C81295
genio muchas gracias!!!!

Konami won't learn their lesson. In their eyes, the PC market won't be worth it after such a reception. They'll only pull out more resources from the already deteriorated dev team.

Exactly what i said before. Bad taste which still in your mouth.
A girl you meet the first time who is a bit fat, too much make up, and you see it one year after, slim and "beautiful", well dressed : you will got reminiscence of the first impression.
That's exactly why i was super pissed about that release. Just for... vs Fifa.
If they, i mean the big boss could remove from his head that Fifa obsession.... We all know they did no really "sportive" thing to them.
But doing what they've done with that pre-beta alpha release is worst than waiting 2 months, or even a full year.

It's like they killed litterally the game for 90% of customers (personnaly i'm on the 10% lol, i hate Ao Tennis then i played after 150 patchs and liked it so why not with that game... I think i don't care in fact)
How to resolve it? This year, it's practically impossible. Just doing an Efootball 2023 like a "new game", it will still the same name.
I only saw two way to escape from it.... Or you restore in one year, by firing Kimura, and rename it with another name and no more F2P on PS4 PC X and S and PS5
Or you made a deal with SIS/Sega, association with a big name, and add a small Efootball FM 2023 or i don't know, no idea, but a hint about a change.

Well, i think one big company will buy PES/Efootball one year. But it will still the same : some year before it became good. 2K can, they got exerience about sports but American sports, Zero about football, well soccer for them. Capcom i said, but it's been too long since Football Kingdom, in reality they're off.
Sony, or Microsoft can do a great game i think (but i hate the fact it will be X and Steam exclusive or Sony. Like when i talk to Bloodborne masterpiece to a PC gamer...)

How much a lazy-ass you have to be if you spend two years with these achievement:

- bare copy/paste ALL the cinematics from previous graphic engine
- make the most horrorifc and tremendous new additional cinematics with the most versatile and known-by-all-fucking-world graphic engine of the last decade
- bare copy/paste all textures just packing in a new file format .uasset just to be digestible from new graphic engine
- bare copy/paste all the DB file information in cpk files wihtout integratig anything more
- publishing a DEMO with just 9 teams but heavy like full game, that eventually can have dozens of other teams enabled with just a fucking 700kb text-edited cpk file

How the fuck they spent more than 700days, jerking off eachother??

After this new research by @Durandil67, they're using the IDENTICAL textures of PES 2021, very good news for modders but very bad news for all of us that were waiting for a revolutionary game.
It won't last a second that we're going to have patches to show real badges, real kits, real faces, better cinematics, even better gameplay and make it similar to PES2021.

2 fucking years, I really cannot think about this...

Gotta say I agree with this with regards to possession football I played another three games this evening before uninstalling and tried to play possession football. Ended up passing backwards 99% of the time until I gave up and just started playing through balls down the wing. Every one of my shots through those three games came from the exact same play down the wing.

Just reinstalled last years version and smoke patch. Playing that instead.
never disinstalled PES2021!
I'm eager for that fucking dream patch 3.0 so I can continue to play with all my teams, competitions, stadiums, kits, everything updated to 21-22, and continue to mod what they don't update (badges, scoreboards, menus...)

The worst thing for me is, not the guys who developed this monstrosity of a game, but there's a person who OK'd it. Did they really stand there and say... we're onto a winner here lads!! Get it released asap!

😂😂fuc* me, if the guy in charge allows this sort of incompetence why the fuc* should the guys developing it try harder?! Working at Konami right now must be the most laid back easiest job ever!

It's like Bruno is a vampire sucking the life out of Ronaldo

I hate you for making me laugh out loud
Why release now? Because this is what happens with every 'live service' game. I despise them because they've changed gaming for the worse. Ship something half arsed, then slowly over time patch it until it's playable and has the same amount of content as a normal game.

Of course most of these 'live service' games are full price, which is the most egregious type. Still you only get one chance to make a good first impression, and eFootball has been buried before it even kicked into life.
Live service games are the absolute worst. I wish that entire style of release would disappear.

The idea should've been to give us a complete game then add to it over time. Not release the full game piecemeal and in an almost broken state.

Can eFoot be good? Yeah probably with enough time. Not like they're on a yearly timeline anymore. I think my biggest concern is what will be offline mode offerings look like whenever they're released 7 years from now.

According to Durandil67 none of the developers or producers are listed in the game credits, so they've got their asses covered from it affecting their future employment as well (which I imagine many of them will soon be seeking).

When you look at some of the things he is finding it's no wonder they struggled to finish the game, the direction from the top must be a shambles. Why would you spend time modelling a toilet and dustbin in great detail. It's like some student project where they've completely over committed and ended up with a half-finished mess on deadline day.

Shout out to the modders who got 2021 in a pretty good place so I don't even have to think about 2022
This! I think we should all take a moment and thank the great MODDERS who have given so much of their time to create these great patches, gameplay mods, option files, soundtracks, etc.

I wouldn't sweat it, bros, we have a whole batch of PES games to enjoy (2021 and retro installments), real PES games so we don't even have to bother with "efootball". Let's just keep supporting the modding community, there are so many of us disenchanted about the current state of "efootball" that I'm sure PES games will continue to be updated and improved upon with modding for many years to come!

P.S: It's not so much the gameplay (or lack thereof) that annoys me. PES 2021 had serious gameplay issues that were addressed (and much improved upon) with the different mods. I'm sure that can be taken care of, sooner or later. It's the utter disregard for offline gaming, which to me was always at the heart of PES. This new microtransaction "direction", the whole feel and idea behind it, making it an online-centered, exhibition focused game is terrible. The whole "new crowd" thing is awful. The complete contempt that Konami is treating the offline community, who've enjoyed years and years of Master Leagues, Cups, etc, is what is most disappointing. Not all of us want or care about defending an "online ranking" against an army of PSG star studded squads. We just want our stories back.

In anycase, let's keep supporting the modding community bros! Long live Winning Eleven, PES 6-2021!
Peace out! :TU:

is there any way of getting a poll going in here? Or is it not possible?

I’d like to know how many are fuma and how many are assisted .. as well as how many people have tried offline/online or both and for how many games.

Reason being, I played it when it dropped. The international match and had the same reaction as everyone. It finished installing and played a few games v ai and there’s a lot to get a hold of. A lot of things I’ve found that are totally new that don’t play the same as 21 … not seeing a lot of feedback at all really… But I’ve just gone online for the first time playing fuma and I have to say. It’s promising. I know 😬👈

but It’s just my opinion. It doesn’t play like how I imagine fifa does and it’s not like the last pes. You have to remember the climate were in but I’ve seen enough sporadic, thoughtful & positive reviews in the last 24 hrs to know there are some people (“shills” I believe they’re known as around here 🤔) out there who are starting to “get it” and think it’s worth putting some time into to learn everything that’s new/different ... in 5 online matches, which are ten min games btw and exT + pens , I’ve never felt I had more of a chance to out-play my opponent than on this eye cancer pachinko. I just kept thinking .. once I learn how to defend this game is actually going to be .. FUN. Something I didn’t think at all playing against the CPU.

I may have missed some posts but I haven’t seen anyone mention the absence of rails. The ball is constantly bouncing away from players. You can run past it if you don’t sprint properly and take it with you. It’s totally totally game changing and no one has said anything about it.

Dribbling is totally different. And momentum inertia is actually a fuxking thing now. But no one is talking about any of that stuff which is really important. It’s buggy as hell and looks like shit but are you all playing it & playing it to death? No, we’re all here moaning & wondering what the hell happened ..give it a week of learning and playing. And learning the right trigger dribbling with left stick. It’s totally alien to all of us and alongside the horrendous graphics I think some of us, myself included, wrote it off way too soon. if after 7 days of playing the game as you would any other pes during the week, you still feel the same way then fair enough. But I think if you gave it more time and learnt everything I genuinely believe some opinions might change.
I’m not condoning what Konami have done in any way and the state of this alpha or whatever is, is abysmal but there’s definitely something good under those grainy visuals it’s just the kinder egg is actually wrapped in electronic barbed wire over a layer of cement and dogshit.
making getting to the fun toy almost impossible.
Almost.
… just my 2 cents. Don’t hang me please

The 8% of the 6k on Steam?…..I’ve said it before but some folk are clutching at more straws than a wanking scarecrow

100% agree on the inertia and dribbling.

Ultimately I think this is a poor poor release overall but I can't get my head around people genuinely thinking the dribbling is better in 2021, like what. They feel worlds apart. I could NEVER have defenders dancing like this in 2021.
