eFootball (All Platforms)

There is a magnetic field that drags the player that has the ball possession when a marker gets close. It's pretty ridiculous. It tries to simulate like someone is trying to pull the shirt, but without the proper animation...

Konami... Konami... What a lazy work you did there.

This is me after played 1 minute eFootball

Hello, have you found a solution to force in-game resolution?
I use all the techniques with the exe settings but nothing helps, the game seems to stay in 720p with a maximum of pixels.
I'm playing on a 1440p 144hz monitor with an RTX 2060.

I can not stand it anymore

Well, at least Farage was hit by a van today - small blessing all things considered.

In fairness my hope died with PES 2008. How a proper company (with actual adults working there) could make such a hash of things after PES 6 still astounds me to this day. What could have been...
What would you say the best PES is on PC that has up to date mods? 17?

The player close up faces look cartoonish. Its not next gen graphics compared to other PS5 games. Photo-realism as someone from Konami mentioned in an interview it aint. For the controller settings there is a Dash (sprint) in defensive setting but none on attacking?

I also love the new game. Everything I hated on PES21, they fixed. Ping-pong passes gone, dribbling is back, defending takes skill, no more scripting.
Graphics are bad and sometimes there are some weird animation glitches, but these can easily be fixed.
Gameplay is top. I win every game with 5+ goals in multiplayer because skill actually wins you games. In most games the opponent doesn't get a single shot on my goal.

Just don't play it like PES21 and have an open mind.
Exactly my thoughts.
What is better in ef2022 compared to Pes2021:

- Ball is way more free and separate entity and has better physics.
- Lots of animations, more seamless transitions
- Better body postures in turning, small tapping steps to stop or change direction
- Slow motion goalkeeper dives are gone!
- Slow motion shooting inside the box is now gone!
- Stealing (standing or sliding tackle) the ball is very physical and unpredictable, yet buggy :( . In Pes 21 was precanned with the same exact result almost every time.
- Collisions are buggy for sure, but its proof that there are some physics implemented there (like PES 2014). Pes 2015-2021 physics was like bottles colliding.
- Passing and shooting feels realistic and not like cannon balls.
- Cpu does dribble the ball, almost plays like human! Until now, in all previous PES the Cpu was constantly attacking with passing, and almost no dribbling with the ball at all. (You can judge from the match stats)
- Better running animation, with speed variety
- Better player models, and cloth animation
- A lot on upredictability and randomness (sometimes too much :P ) compared to repetitive and linear gameplay of previous PES.
- Excellent pace with variation.
- It rewards more tactical and patient build up, it punishes run and gun style.
- I think its way more responsive. Considering the more realistic and complete animations which means more time to be executed.

Its the most next gen game of soccer, in gameplay terms, if we exclude the physics bugs/glitches.
Graphics have nice lighting, but awful grass texture and aliasing issues are really prominent and ugly.
Net physics are maybe the worst i have seen in a football game.
Crowd is clearly ex-gen and low quality.
Sound is decent, nothing special.

Guys do you have stuttering during a game ? I have very good hardware and I noticed frame skipping :/

And how to do shoot cancel ?

Been checking the people who usually post in favour of PES after last's night shitfest and it's shameful, really. Adam Bhatti's just radio silent, Robbye Aron just tells people to test the game and send feedback (because that's what I am, a free tester). Meanwhile, the eFootball accounts, of course, are acting like nothing ever happened.

I don't get how people could even manage defending this. I know, money, whatever, but there's an ethical limit to everything.

I also feel like the game has lots of frame drops. Sometimes it feels like playing Crysis on a Pentium 100 :)
Me having a Ryzen 3600X + RTX 3070 - so it should create a smooth experience...

Same problem on 1080ti latest graphics drivers
also looks washed out

Ah, OK...so there won't be a way to have like it was before i guess...
So it means i have to learn it from scratch...boy, at my age!! :D
Head into the options and remap L2 to A and you're sorted! L2 is like old-A on steroids – extremely overpowered and will have to be nerfed I think. You can also swap the other buttons. For me R1 will always be sprint so that had to be swapped too.

Of course all the weirdos praising the game have no comment to make on the actual gameplay features that got removed for no reason.

They never had ethics or professional dignity in the first place, Just lies, lies and more lies.

Don't hate me now please, but after playing with the demo expander, having more than five rushed minutes and some more options, I'm kind of coming to terms with the game. No, it's certainly not in a "good" state and they do have work to do, but being able to take my time, I'm starting to notice more stuff I actually like such as the manual defending and the game giving me more freedom in moving my players rather than partially guardrailing them like in previous titles. I'll play some more matches and see how it works out, but my opinion on it has improved a little since installing the expander.

If they ask for your credit card details or ask for advance-fee in order to compensate you, don't fall for it. Especially if they mention a Nigerian prince.
Translation:

"Bugs... what bugs? I don't know what you're talking about! Oh, it looks like 50 cents worth of coins have just dropped from your wallet! Let me just...."

*opens wallet, grabs credit cards*

"Huh...Card? What Card? I don't know what are you talking about I have no idea what this eFootball thing is?"

*runs away*

You are right. Had the same thoughts. It's still half a universe away from what PES stood for, but having some time to figure out some new mechanics it's way better than these rushed 5 minutes.
Anyway, if this game came out 2006 it would have been a big success :D

I've played another couple of matches and...
Well, on PC there are graphic glitches everywhere. Every. F*ck!n'. Where.

Sudden flashes of light, white pitches, flickering... My GPU going insanely hot and noisy during cutscenes for no reason (it looks like they're not capped and the GPU just goes berserk trying to reach 10K FPS)...

Thoroughly enjoying this now with the demo expander on PC. I don't remember ever being more at odds with the general view on here or around the PES-themed web. I'm gobsmacked that it's as poor a reception as it is. I think perfectly reasonable technical and immersion-breaking reasons are dominant, but a massive reason will be that you just can't pick it up and play it like any previous edition. You have to learn new controls and new approaches. E.g. one of my favourite scoring methods in PES2021 -- finesse from the outside corner of the box into the opposite corner -- doesn't work in eFootball, but I'm still automatically trying it all the time. How many of those familiar PES moves are we all trying automatically all the time? And when they don't come off... There are huge differences. Currently watching a streamer complaining that it's all too slow and considered and he can't do one-touch passing through the opposition as he's used to. I have a feeling he wishes he could 'pack' Messi and get it over with.
My thoughts exactly. I guess after reading all the negative comments my expectations got even lower. But you know what? I think this game has potential.

I understand why people are upset because the game clearly needs a few more months of development to be 100% ready. It’s practically a buggy demo but they made us believe it was ready to be launched. The graphics on the next gen are nothing old gen wouldn’t be able to handle which we were only teased about a couple of months ago.

All those points aside, I can see myself enjoying a lot of the new aspects of the game after a couple of patches. The slow and grounded pace, the new dribbling logic, the new animations, etc.

Anyways, the game has become a meme and it’s painful and funny at the same time. But gameplay wise I don’t see why it can’t surpass PES 2021 in time.

I dont understand the logic, why change the controller profiles, been the same for years so here fuck you and your muscle memory. Also I cant set 3840x2160, but i can have 3200x1800 on my native 4k monitor, doh!
Not even going to mention the rest, plenty been said, there is a little good, but the bad way overshadows it, mid March next year it could be a good game ;)
