eFootball (All Platforms)

And don’t forget the rest of the game you’ve got to pay for are you willing to take that risk.
The hardcore maybe but the random gamer outside of our fan bubble I doubt it very much

OMG! What konami have done???
What a disaster, i can't show a game in this state, really, I've seen alpha version better that this e-football !
I was in love with PES, my heart is broken when i see this mess.
Messi face, I haven't laught like that for years!!!:APPLAUD:

I can see some potential, though.....
You just need to plug your nose. Your choice.

some elements of this messedfootball actually good in concept but still badly implemented.. one on one, physicality mechanic is good in concept but still unsuccesful in terms of implementing the animation..

Some player movement, inertia, momentum also feels more fluid than pes 2021 but not fifa's fluid that i dislike.. but is not completely refined.. It is so inconsistent.

Unfortunately, it is not clearly and hopefully not a finished game to be launched. Like there's minimum QC on their side.

It may take longer to refine. there's still hope learning from pes 2021 launch to what it is now, i can clearly feel and see it has been refined here and there throughout its life.

I am trying hard to be positive despite my big dissappoinment of my yearly day one purchased game.

Really? Some of you are compromising with this game?

It is not better than Fifa 22
It is not better than Pes 21

It is not better than nearly all of the footy games released in THE PAST 20 YEARS.

Do some of you have no standards?

Its 2021 and we have next generation consoles with enormous power. I don't want a game thats going to be built up over several years into something vaguely resembling a football sim, that getting Konami off the hook. This is a product that is asking for REAL MONEY off customers. It is not fit for release.

I've just watched a review where the guy was playing Juve v Barca. The same patterns of play over and over, CPU trying to dribble when no one was around him, same tired keeper animations. Even less AI variety than before.

This is not how football matches play out in real life, they look and play nothing like this game. There is no nuance to be found. Wheres the physicality? Wheres the interceptions? We were running into the opposition to steal the ball back in Sensible Soccer in 1990 for goodness sakes.

There is nothing remotely redeeming in this game. Nothing. Nada. I don't understand what some of you are looking at or hoping to expect?

Utterly bizarre.

You have a tendency to become quite personal in your posts, if somebody is disagreeing with you.

Re your point about standards. I savaged the online test game. I have also shredded pes 20 on this forum. I have been bored within a couple of months by every pes since pes 6.

I've played almost no football games at all in two years, and very little in the years before that. If I do, its fifa 16 vanilla, occasionally fifa 19 krebstar sliders. Because I have standards.

Those standards however do not prevent me from gaining some enjoyment from this demo, despite its numerous deficiencies.

Neither does that enjoyment in some way vindicate Konamis approach to game development. I will never give them a penny in my club and wont buy this game for offline play unless its substantially improved. And so there is no compromise. Simply some impressions of a few hours with a free demo.
You're conflating what you want with how people have experienced something, completely independent of your wishes.

I too want a next gen pes worthy of ps5 horsepower, but it's not going to happen. What value is there in continuing to get angry about it? Konami have significantly lower standards than you or I do, in our expectations of what pes should be. But enjoying the demo in some way doesnt lower my standards, because my personal standards have no relationship to what a games company in japan is doing. My enjoyment or otherwise of their free demo will make not a jot of difference to how they develop the game. We here are in a bubble, and nobody but us is looking in.

I would love to know the truth behind this I genuinely believe they intended 2 years ago to make a PES 2022 UE5 full game but somewhere in development someone higher up pulled the plug maybe due to development costs?
hmm even though the whole reason the franchise has been destroyed is because of the obscene amount of money they've made from mobile gamers and my club. probably made more money from microtrx in the last 2 years than ever before. I find this impossible to believe...

I feel like if should have taken another year to develop this and just blamed it on the pandemic. Would have given them a normal dev cycle (3 years) and they may have been able to execute on some of the elements you mentioned.

The end of PES really hurts playing over 15-16 years and then this Efootball destroyed everything. I have to go for FIFA no choice.
I feel your pain. I too have friends moving to Fifa who I would normally play PES with every day, online.
It turns out that I have more integrity and self respect than they do, so thats nice :)

This is what happens when you try to reinvent the wheel. Konami had a good game in pes, the controls were set and the game play was defined. They had to jump improve on that game for the new gen.
1 improve master league
2 improve the goalies
3 improve the collision detection
4 improve overall stability on line

they would have had a grand game but they decided to be cute.

I don't think that's the reason at all... But you're playing on which plateform? With Konami we never know... Compatibility and all

Ps4 pro. I've had technical issues, the stuttering player when he's clear of the defence...but I'm just taking it for what it is. I may not even play it again until its updated a few times...but I really did find some enjoyment from it.

but they decided to be cute.
It’s not even that IMO.

They decided to be cheap. eFootball just screams “This game has been made quickly and with very little resources”.

They want to turn over a big profit. Cost nothing to make but brings in the micro transactions from the addicted myClub zombies.

When you open the game it says version 0.9.0, so this might indeed be a demo. Also, the Youtube streamer Spoony Pizzas who streamed this build said it was quite different (and far worse) than the one they let him play at an event a week earlier, so there might still be hope. But I really have no idea why they considered this safe to release.

Spoony Pizzas said that to create hype. People really need to stop hanging off every word that guy says.
