Edit: have to admit. That sounds like a guy selling a scam theme thing...! ;) but I’m not. :D

Not that they are the same, but WWE2k has been dropping some infos already, while they had less development time than PES, which makes me wonder if we gonna get another season update...

Off topic but I know I don't really comment or reply to much of your post but I always appreciate your attitude and outlook on things you are the type of people I try to surround myself with because it makes so much of a difference.
 
I am not really worried or bothered about graphics, licensing and faces. If I was, I would just play FIFA. I just want the PES team to invest into better AI, scrap the rigid tactic system for sliders based custom tactics and get the fundamentals and the physics of football right first. I am playing PES 2012 now and it's so much of a better game than PES 2020/21. I am actually not hopeful for PES 2022. Yeah it will have better graphics, better facial textures and models, maybe even better physics but I think they will reuse the same AI, the same UI, the same rigid tactics from the previous versions.

the mentioning of "within real-time football simulation games" is new to me!
when it was clear to the nerds in this forum ;) , i did not notice them officially stating this before.

overall: when the "partly-licensing" goes on like it did the last couple of years... i dont see Konami changing their strategy in the near future and i dont see this as a good sign!
 
If Konami are clever they will start teasing PES 2022 sometime next week with a trailer coming up when the Euros kick off but yeah, well...

They wouldn't want to take any of the focus off of their current promotion which is plugging PES 2021 & their EURO DLC.

They're probably hoping there'll be a few bump in extra sales before the game well and truly runs its course.

If they plan to make some EURO-themed esports tournament, it would be very stupid of them to give any info before it's final phase.

It would distract the interest (if there is any) of the market pool. Can you imagine anyone that would prefer to watch 2021 streams, if in the same moment there were Screenshots or gameplay footages of shinny nextgen new engine footage.

I think we live in an era that the marketing plan dictates the schedules, the hype-fan-train comes second from now on.

So I agree with what someone said before. Any announcement will be around EURO final stage.
