eFootball (All Platforms)

EA impressing me with the create a club career mode.

Not that it’s anything groundbreaking or that we didn’t have in PES for years but even at this stage of the gaming world, they’re still putting effort into offline to keep that side of the fan base happy and you know they will do it properly, even if the gameplay isn’t to everyone’s taste.

Konami have really fucked it and part of me is happy about that.
As much I love(d) PES, FIFA 22 career mode looks quite ahead of the best Master League we had so far (I played from PES 3 to PES 2021). Not only the options that it gives you, but the presentation is in another level (to be honest, looks amazing).

I don't expect nothing major from the eFootball ML next year. But it's something so barebones as the ones we had on the last decade, I can see lots of PES enthusiasts moving to FIFA (for good).

I for the first time saw a video on the player career mode in Fifa.. the journey or something like that
I cant believe how lazy Konami has been in the recent years regarding offline modes .. imagine getting the license for Eurocup and start half-ass using it when the actual Euros are almost over.
They are unbelievable wasteful of resources.

Even if you're expecting a (most likely unpleasant) surprise, Konami will out do your predictions.
It is both funny and maddening at the same time

I'm like 99% sure Konami don't care at all anymore about competing or making a great football game. This all feels like they are scaling down at PES/efootball big time approaching things as if they are just going to be a smaller mobile outfit that does some cool cross platform stuff but with mobile driving the majority of the company.

They deal with a fanbase that gives them money and generally enjoys the game (at least more than us offline for years). They won't have to work as hard to create new features or work extensively on ML etc.

They can just let FIFA have that totally and they'll double down on mobile.

News Alert!
Konami buy Messi from Barcelona and is going to play on @play_eFootball, it was need 2 years to save money to buy it and release a shit game.
Case Closed.

Bônus: People need to play the online 24h a day to pay the money that messi was spended by Konami. 😂😂😂

FIFA really prepared for PES making big changes as promised and probably overdelivered to their fans on what they planned for the offline modes. Not knowing PES weren't even competing anymore.

I could see EA not grinding this hard at offline for a while. There's no way that ML DLC is going to be that good. I would be shocked.

The only new thing is the create club stuff. I don't know. I think they act like there's no competition for a few years now, just a couple of years ago career mode was broken and #fixcareermode was trending, they've doubled down on ridiculous e-sports gameplay and animations like there's no serious alternative.

They are launching with a demo and no myclub mode. My guess is they are just struggling to port stuff over. ML is lower priority, coming later. My guess is that it's just a port-job and it will be almost identical to previous years. Just with ugly neon yellow & black menus!

Believe me I'm not one to praise FIFA for no reason at all. But even if the changes they've made the last two seasons are really just them bringing back a bunch of older features - they have put quite a decent amount of focus on it.

ALL PES has to ever do is bring back all the best features from old MLs and that would create pandemonium among the fanbase.

I've always had this suspicion that both companies know almost everything the other company are going to do.
They must have some insiders information.

OK, Thanks for the reply, but please tell me how can these virtual soccer games run differently every match. I say this because, after you place the bet you don't know in advance the outcome of the game. Maybe this means that for any match the action on the pitch is different. Excuse my English
I obviously never saw these betting machines in action, but I think there are two possible outcomes for each situation, so basically you're betting on whether it plays cutscene #1 or cutscene #2 next.

FIFA news are decent for the current state of things, but they're still lacking most of what we achieved via PES modding for 19/20/21.
Still a good move, and i'm sure they can address that for FIFA 23 easily though
