At least they avoided E-soccer which would have been the worst.

Like i said if the game will now be called just eFootball, it would be the most generic name ever. It reminds me of the game Soccer, but that was for Nes.

I'm not 100% against the name itself, because having an "e" standing for "Eletronic" has been a common naming convention, with things like having an "eMail" or an "eShop", it's simple and effective, and one of the few ways to have a more professional sounding name than "FIFA"... Personally I would've preferred "Winning Eleven" since it also sounds simple but classy, and also avoids the whole "Is it Football or Soccer?" discussion, but this new name is fine.

This logo however... I hate it, it just looks so bad for some reason, the font, the styling, everything... The font is more cheesy than the current PES font, which seems counterproductive considering what they're aiming for with the name change, and that "e" just looks off for some reason, it's something I could make on paint.net in a few minutes, I really dislike this...

Well this confirms the early beta was actually the game and the reason why they didn’t have a pes in the name ..

If the rumours are true, then the alpha/beta isn't "just a template to test the new servers lole" and will be the one to serve as a foundation for the online f2p pes, while the next-gen version will be a completely different game by comparison I reckon.

yes, we had that topic not to long ago. it aint the same, as the Euro currency sign has 2 lines in the middle but it sure resambles it very well!
disgusting and the same time eye opening! konami sure did not think that far... but this logo says it all! sad sad sad...

The idea of 2 game is awful! Hope they won’t do that.

If it means they can better cater to two different communities then I have absolutely no problem with it. In fact, it could be exactly what's needed for the series.

If it's purely free to play, the game is dead.

PS anyone moaning about the name change, we've had ISS, Winning Eleven, pro evolution soccer, PES, now eFootball. This isn't new territory for Konami 😂
