Save your money. This game is the biggest regret I’ve ever had buying a game. It’s complete horse sh**. Everyone tries to find positives because they’re probably also thinking they’ve thrown money down the toilet. I’ve hear people say “oh I’m used it now” like you’re supposed to get used to a terrible game something? Literally every version of PES ever made it’s better than fc24. I’m never buying another EA product again. Does that answer your question? 😂

This is true. I'm talking about crossing though for a reason. If it was consistent the game would be more tolerable despite the other major issues it has. To be more specific, it would add right away an element of randomness regarding situations inside the box. Secondly, we wouldn't have these ridiculous hundreds of touches by the AI to find eventually a player in the box. User wouldn't have to switch like crazy between defenders or just stand still because he knows the cpu won't attempt a cross.
There are small things which can alter radically for good the way the game plays. I'm not claiming I own the Holy Grail of sim football videogames but I think I have enough experience to criticise.
I'm also not bashing all FIFA games. I'm playing modded FIFA 16 on a regular basis on 15min halves and if I posted a video of a match there would be several posts telling me it's boring, a lot of fouls, not many goals etc. This is one of reasons EA moved away from this. Not many kids would play a 30min match where you're trying to break down a park the bus team and it ends goalless 0-0.

This is what makes me sad, coz you shouldn't feel like an outcast trying to play slow, "boring" Sim game.
The game should also allow you to customise your gameplay like this.

You are right - a lot of people would say it's boring, but this is why there should be enough settings for everyone to customise it to their liking. Coz everyone play games differently.

When you look at all the settings FC24 has - it's mind-blowing. And I'm not only talking about sliders. Game pace, competitive Player ID, different types of Defending... There's so much of it.

And it all comes down to Light Speed Skatey Goalfest Vs Semi-Fast glitchy Goalfest. Coz half of the settings don't work, half of the sliders dont work properly and everything at the end is overwritten by newest gameplay Patches forced on us from "Online Master Recipe".

Some people can stomach it, some don't.

But there's no point in telling Matt or Saturator that the game is shite.
They know about all the issues and just trying to find joy in some elements of it.
I'm sure that if you got them to develop football game - it would be pretty far away from what FC24 is now.

But we are where we are and they just work with what they have.

Are you deleting them all? You could at least give reasons if it is you doing this. If it’s not, apologies.

And I feel that @fear has been completely reasonable in my opinion.

Content moderators are here to try and keep threads on a relevant conversational track and not to devolve into what is essentially calling people liars and insulting them. Do you think we delete posts for fun? Also, do you think someone like me (who only posts critiques of the game in here) would want to cover up negativity?

Yes, I deleted @hitmanuk's post and my post. His was deleted as it was 1) about PES and 2) on PC, which is as off-topic as you can get unless you want to discuss Gran Turismo or Earthworm Jim as well.

I deleted my reply as it was brought to my attention that stating that many users in here aren't "lucky enough" to be able to (afford a gaming PC and) play a modded PES 2021, was "insulting".

Frankly, and I've been mulling this over since Saturday (because it truly fucking ruined my day to be told that), I'm ready to delete my account on here; it feels like discussing the game is becoming less important than ever (in terms of what people want to post, and in terms of any of this ever having any impact on game development) - and content moderation is constantly under scrutiny, along with the moderators, who spend hours a day trying to keep things balanced (and not just allow a bubbling toxic cesspit to develop, nor a pretend rainbow-land where everyone must agree to be happy).

But no, I give up. I just want people to be able to discuss how much they love (or hate) a game without it devolving into personal sleights. And if you don't think "you can't really believe that opinion you have is valid, you must be being sarcastic" isn't a personal sleight, then... maybe you should be a moderator.

obviously you @Chris Davies and the rest of the staff are doing a great job in here and have done that for so many years, dont be put down because someone gets butthurt when crossing the line whether it be topics or language.
Ive been here since 06, for a reason.
This is a fantastic forum for all of us who loves, and sometimes hates football games, nevertheless this forum has been so good for info, making good friends, having great discussions, even days when my well being have been shit ( yeah we even have a thred on that in here)

So just to let you and your staff mates know, the reason this has been so good for so many years is in fact a lot to do with you guys, keeping it tidy, keeping a good tone, if not theyre gone or at least told off.
If people want to complain or be a pain in the ass to others, in this case you guys, theres always Twitter...
Keep it up Chris and company, bet 99.9% is on your side in this, and thanks for all the work you put it, so appriciated

Not going to poop on anyones enjoyment of this game, but i cant unsee the movement ive seen in these videos.
I really didnt think it was this bad, sorry but its absolutely the worst ive ever seen in a sports game tbh, it looks nowhere real or even bad, its just horrible.

I played few more matches from my trial today and I had this flashback from my childhood...

I used to love playing with toy soldiers. I also loved football. So I used to build goals out of Duplo blocks and play football matches, using my toy soldiers and a marble, which was serving as a ball.

And even tho I really loved my tournaments - they were difficult and frustrating at times, coz from obvious reasons - I could only "control" two players at the time.

That's how recent EA football games feel like. Frustrating, difficult and disconnected from the actual sport.

I think @shumway said the other day that FC24 is stressing him out and eFootball leaves him much more relaxed. I couldn't agree more. Recent EA games are exhausting. Exhausting because you have to micromanage your entire team.

Like those toy soldiers, that you can only move one at the time...

EA producers need to remember that football is a team sport. You should be a cog in a machine that works based on your tactical settings.
Until this is the case - no sliders can save us.

Looks good. When the game has the right graphical setup, it definitely looks good. I was watching my sons' gameplay on their xbox series S and it looked crisper than my PS5. I'm still considering getting the PC version just for turf mods.

Yes i play totally offline because the urban Legend said that when you're connected, the game is faster ans sliders didn't work.
So since FIFA 20, i'm offline.

You can make the update and after that restart the game and go offline. I do that very often.

In fact you might need to consider the PC version just for the gameplay mods. It will help you also with the sliders project. You could do a separate thread at OS and here regarding mods+sliders for PC and also update from time to time the console sliders.

Id separate both options. Slider or gameplay.

na really, like playing at night, this is another thing that „haunts„ me for decades. 😂

The gameplay at ps5 looking pretty bad too much skating and no balance.
At pc the gameplay is pretty good.

Desperately hanging out for a turf mod too! I tried to make one but the turf files don't seem to be engaging at the moment. Hopefully soon. That texture is hurting my eyes :LMAO:
 
Were bookings defaulted to “off” for anyone?

Noticed I never get carded in career mode and just checked the settings and both injuries & bookings are off! Which I never did. Bizarre.

The theory is the servers are at their full power in the night to have a "great gameplay" for FUT players.
There are less game speed problems on Series X than PS5.

Tonight I have made a training to show my normal game speed
The animations and ball control seems ok
