lampard should have scored today

He is not FIT at that match. If he can get the chance, Chelsea can win on yesterday... ...

He had 2 good chances. Probably his worst game of the season. This is because he has been one of the best players this season, in the league and the UEFA Champions League.

At least its a point. Ive pretty much given up on the league, as long as we finish second i dont mind. We gotta qualify automatically. That is in case we dont actually win the champs league!

Oh and Boro. my hat was very stringy, wouldnt recommend it!!

Yo, i gave up on the league a long long long time ago. We do have a chance to win the champions league, the expected final is Chelsea v Deportivo, and once you reach the final, anything can happen ;). Im not saying we are going to win, but im not saying that we wont ;).

I think Blues' european destiny is in their own hands, cos they're the strongest side...
In my opinion the final is gonna be Chelsea-Porto, and it will be an extremely though match...

Turns out that if Ranieri DOES keep his Job on Wednesday then his position will change from Manager to Head Coach which means he will be in charge of the team but not transfers.
So basically the board decide who to buy and he picks and trains the team
Mad i think

surely thats how its been anyways? i cant c ranieri being in charge of ALL the transfers so far, imo roman has had some advisors on who he has bought so far, with claudio not being one of them. . .

Well Ranieri has always been the major decider in transfers so far. He decided that they were to buy crespo, duff, parker, veron and mutu. He would always come out with some stupid saying like, "We needed a lion, crespo is my little lion!" lol! Oh roman ranieri, how you do make me chuckle!

I knew there was going to be bad news for Chelsea when I saw the starting line-up. Mutu + Crespo doesn't work IMO. I'd like to see Goodjonsen paired with Crespo once a while. But hey, I'm no manager.

What kind of squad did he choose? Mutu has been out of form, and then he uses him 2 games before our Champs League game, Prem is over, congrats Arsenal, i am just not going to care anymore. Must win our next 3 champions league games. And then we are the best team in Europe. Obviously Ranieri knows its over too, why would he put Huth and fucking Mario in the squad then. Now to just concentrate on what we are good at, keeping good away records in Europe. And Duff too, absolutely pathetic today. It must be said, same in teh game against Arsenal, Duff didnt play as well as he could.

It's a bad period for the Blues, they're all out of form, i think Ranieri should rest his team for the Champions League....

Sorry. Won't make you best team in Europe.

I agree, in my opinion the best team in Europe are the Gunners, but on the paper the team who win the champions league is the best in europe...

How can Arsenal be the best team in Europe when Chelsea knocked them out of the Champions League? Surely, the team that wins the Champions League deserves the title of "best in Europe."

Well im sorry to say arsenal, you obviously arent the best team in europe, you are the best team in england, but not europe, you have to win something to be the best, sorry

Arsenal is the only still unbeaten team in europe...
They've been unlucky against chelsea cos henry went out injuried (he played almost all the second half injuried), but i think they're the best, even cos they play the best football to see...

I'm not saying Arsenal are the best in Europe coz I know they're not.

But if Monaco won the Champs. League, would you say they are the best team in Europe?

Arsenal are only unbeaten in the league. Man u beat them in the FA cup, chelsea in the CL and middlesbrough in the Carling Cup. So somehow i dont think that is unbeaten?
And as for henry, one player does not make a team. Fair enough he is excellent, but he couldnt beat chelsea on his own. IM not havin a pop at arsenal here cos your a leeds fan, so you are sayin without henry arsenal arent any good. Ha thats bollocks.

And yes i would say Monaco were the best. If they have won the best competition in europe, they deserve to be the best in europe. They beat madrid. Jus because all the 'big' teams are out, obviously the big teams werent good enough this season. Madrid are definately not the best team in europe this season, nor milan. Are we forgettin they lost 4-0? Monaco beat deportivo 8-1 if you remember and who did we jus say depor beat 4-0? It all evens itself out in the end. So on that note i think we would have to say they are the best team in europe (if they win it of course)

if ur team wins the Champions League and then is not the best team in europe then why bother with the competion ?
But you could say what if a team like Senegal for example win the world cup, there not the best in the world.
What i think should happen is some sort of Ranking system like national teams for the club teams. Just my opinion

I agree with your opinion metallica, but at the same time, if senegal did win the world cup they would be the best team in the world AT THAT TIME. Its like how you said, why have the competitions?

according to the ranking system no, but according to the competition which has been the most famous over however long its bin going, yes. But then y are we arguing? senegal wouldnt win the world cup! lol :l

In my opinion, that's the best way to distinguish the best team in Europe in that particular season. Real Madrid have some of the great players in the world and they were knocked out by Monaco in the Champions League, lost to Real Zaragoza in the King's Cup and will probably lose out on their league as well after last night's thrashing by Osasuna.

They were much highly rated when they won the Champions League a few years back. If they hadn't won the Champions League, would you have considered them the best team in Europe in 2002? Are they still Europe's best according to their current form?

Just because Monaco don't have a squad that is comparable to Real's or Chelsea's, that doesn't mean they don't deserve to be titled "the best in Europe."

If you can't win competitions, you don't deserve to be the best in Europe.

So Real Sociedad were the best team in Europe the first half of last season? Surely not! :l
