Well ahve you looked at chelsea schedule? Middlesborough on friday, aston villa on sundy, so shut up whinin and throwin your toys out your pram, u lost your treble in three days and chelsea r ridin on to glory!! OLE OLE OLE OLE feelin hot hot hot!!! ( that song has no relevance whatsoever, but im happy!)

The fixture congestion also deals with the changing of dates during the Easter period which caused disruption. You have a pretty tough schedule too. You should pull away with it relatively unscathed though considering the immensity of your squad, these days. I don't know where you've got the notion of me whining? Look back in this thread and tell me where I have whined about Chelsea beating Arsenal and I'll applaud you. I had nothing but praise for them for bettering Arsenal in the second half and it's true. Now there's talk of just brushing aside Monaco and beating Milan. And people call us arrogant?

The remaining fixtures are.

APR 10 Borough
APR 12 Villa
APR 17 Everton
APR 21 Monaco
APR 24 Newcastle
MAY 1 Southampton
MAY 4 Monaco
MAY 8 Man United
May 15 Leeds

4 days between Monaco and United. That could prove to be tough. Worth it though, for being in the semi-finals of the CL. Having said that, your dreams could already be shattered in the first leg. ;)

HOW THEY RATED ACCORDING TO THE SUN

CHELSEA

MARCO AMBROSIO
NO chance with goal. Elected to punch, rather than catch, high balls. 6

MARIO MELCHIOT
DUTCHMAN played to his limitations and never let anyone down. 6

JOHN TERRY
ALWAYS alert to danger of Henry and Reyes. Won everything in the air. 8

WILLIAM GALLAS
HIS pace in defence was crucial in keeping Henry quiet. Booked. 7

WAYNE BRIDGE
DREAM TEAM STAR MAN. Will he score a more important goal? 9

SCOTT PARKER
NO-NONSENSE display from the new hardman of Chelsea. 7

FRANK LAMPARD
NEVER stopped probing and got his reward with the equaliser. 8

CLAUDE MAKELELE
CAME up with the rasping shot which led to Lampard’s goal. 7

DAMIEN DUFF
NEVER given an inch by Arsenal, who saw him as the danger man. 7

EIDUR GUDJOHNSEN
WORKED as hard as any player and led the line superbly. 7

JIMMY HASSELBAINK
POOR display from the Dutchman. Has lost a yard of pace. Booked. 6

SUBS
Jesper Gronkjaer (for Parker, 46mins). Kept Cole busy 6;
Joe Cole (for Duff, 82mins). Spurred Blues on to winner — booked 7;
Hernan Crespo (for Hasselbaink, 83mins). Little time to make impact 5.
Subs not used: Neil Sullivan, Adrian Mutu, Geremi, Robert Huth.

Why not?
He was solid at the back. Some great defending.
Put a lot of crosses in.
And scored one of the most important goals of his career.
I think he would have to be, along with Terry and Lampard.

Gotta' love it

For the first time ever, i actually appreciate gronkjaer playin, i normally hate that player. The only player i deem as useless in the chelsea team, but he had a good game last night, defended exceptionally, still didnt put in enough crosses tho.

Yeh, he did well, getting past cole, got some crosses in, I guess its his speed. I think he put enough, for the time he was on the pitch.

So many times i was screaming at the tele "fuckin cross it!!" n he kept cutting inside n givin it to a midfielder who was then wasting a cross. The only time anything worked from him cutting inside was the second goal. Which of course was the most important. But i still cant help but think if hed have whipped in a few more early crosses we could have scored one maybe even two more?!?

Congrats fellas, I really thought the arse would bounce back after Saturday but Chelsea played a blinder yesterday, whatever I think of certain sections of the support you cant fault Ranners..

So a Prem CL double is a possibiity now then, who would've thought.....

I was so pleased for Bridgy last night, being an ex-saints player I mean :) Great result for Chelsea aswell. However if I was Raneri I would win the CL then tell the board to f*ck off, I still think it is disgraceful the way he has been publicly treated. There are plenty of other clubs that would appreciate his talents.

Raineri's treatment has been horrendous. Did you see abram's quote that the team displayed "Russian Character" What the hell is that about. He needs to give Raineri some credit. I'm Arsenal through and through but it's an insult to the english and raineri. It looked more like English spirit in my opinion. Raineri's team last night was extremely prepared for the match.

congrats chelsea!

imo, the player of the game was makalele. when arsenal was hammering chelsea in the first half he kept his cool, and did a good job of recovering and distributing the ball. The defensive line played well too, and though i expected more from lampard, he played very good defence and intercepted a lot of passes.

i'm argentinean so i'm biased, but i thought crespo should have come on for hasselbaink earlier; jimmy looked overpowered, and I was scared he might get a 2nd yellow card. also, in tight games with lots of set pieces and corners, crespo's aerial play can make the difference.

oh, and milanista is bitter that chelsea "bought success", because his milan dream team lost to a boca team worth less $ than inzaghi's transfer. i guess you have to know where to buy success and how to pay for it eh?

Player of the game has to be Terry.
But it was a team effort. Except for H'baink, he didnt do anything ;).

Id agree with that, but i think that is because campbell played well not vice versa. He never got ne time on the ball whatsoever. Good thing for engalnd! The two best central defenders in the country played well last night. Only a good sign

Well boys, the chmps lge has been busted open. Only monaco stand between us and the final.

I'm happy for Ranieri, after all the pressure he's gone through.
If Chelsea win either or both the Champions League / Prem. then Ranieri deserves it.
He has been humble, gracious throughout the time Abramovich/Kenyon were unsettling him.
The players are also firmly behind Ranieri.
