Happened to us when Cudicini messed up 2 seasons agoooo, we lost in a stupid way, and drew in a stupid way last season when Henry did his famous "Cheap" free kick.
And what about that flukey Edu free kick that took a wicked deflection off Parlour.

IMO, what goes around comes around.

Those 2 goals were in the same game so yes they were a bit fortunate. But hang on, wasn't that the game in which Crespo scored a belter but he had been off the pitch behind the goal receiving treatment and came back on without the refs permission and scored straight away after receiving the ball in an offside position. So that game was a bit freaky.

Well lemme just give you a few that i remember, these are results you did not play well enough to deserve.

Van Nistelrooy hitting the bar in the Battle of OT.
Arsenal v Chelsea - 1) Edu's deflected free kick
2) Cudicini's howler
Against Charlton, was it Johansson that hit the post?

And these are just off the top of my head.

For some reason everytime we played you we had keeper problems! But that isnt your fault really :p

Yeah well 2 of those 3 werent our fault!

I don't think you can include Henry's free kick as this was legal. Any case you goal yesterday came from a quick free kick!

Like I said, your luck will run out as these things tend to even up over a season.

Yeah you're right, but i still hate them fluke Ba****ds. Wenger get an out and out striker please...did you see Van persie's beautiful cross.

We're too one dimentional, it works against the likes of Wigan and Sh*te like spurs but not against the big boys like last season showed. Out of the Mancs, Chelski and Liverpool we only got 5 of the 18 points.

A plan B and C are needed like Chelski have.

Damm Abromovich... Damm you.

Chelsea have annoyed me this season so far.

I am going to admit that yesterday a draw would have been a fair result, neither team really showed any class at all, and considerin that these are the two best teams in the premiership (according to the league last year!) doesnt look too good.

But sayin that, we had a ropey start last yr against man u and crystal palace, and look what happened then!!

Yeah but thats what you have to do at times, which i said last week at wigan too, get results even when you dont deserve them!

Yeah i do agree with you there, but at the same time, i don't like to have the arsenal fans amongst my mates givin it all the 'you didnt deserve that game' n shit, i agree with em, sometimes id prefer us to drop points or, i hate to say it, lose-just so the players realise 'hang on a min, we actually have to work hard to stay the best team in england', otherwise, as we saw with wigan, we get complacent.

For me Chelsea will only be the best team in the country when they play the best football. Last season they did, at times, especially towards the end of the season. This year, like last year, they've started the year just defending and hoping to pick up a lucky goal here and there. Its not really what the premierships about, but hopefully they'll change. Otherwise all you Chelsea fans may well see the cup again next year, but will have to sit through some seriously boring excuses for football along the way!

You get to be the best team by getting results. There is no way around that. There are alof of teams out there that play(played) great footie but never got really good results.

Looking at chelsea performance this season so far gives a sensation of deja vu, mourinho second at Porto started kinda like this, not playing great but getting results.
I'm expecting an improvement of the team in a 1-2 months.

They need 4 - 5 games under their belt to start playing really great football Chelsea.

I wonder what the starting eleven will be against West Brom on Wednesday. I assume the only Change would be SWP instead of Robben. I hope to see Joe Cole on the bench, or atleast to see him play some minutes.

Who do guys prefer to start Essien or Gudjohnsen?. I think Essien played great against Arsenal, passing, dispossessing the ball.

hmm!

Looks like Tiago is poised to move to Lyon. So that's Smertin, Jarosik and Tiago out of the midfield, and Essien in. That keeps the numbers in that area pretty tight.

Champions Chelsea have agreed a fee of €10 million (£6.8 million) with their French counterparts, with the player now only having to concur on personal terms before his exit can be confirmed.

Tiago and his agent, Jorge Mendes, are already in Lyon - where the player will undergo a medical and tie up the final details of his contract.

The talented*Portugal*international*proved a useful performer last term for Chelsea, regularly filling in a variety of positions across Jose Mourinho's midfield following a move from Benfica,*but it now appears his spell in the capital is drawing to a close.

"All is practically closed and it*is the best exit for Tiago as he*wants to play more regularly,'' confirmed Mendes.

With*the 2006 World Cup on the horizon, Tiago is desperate to play on a regular basis to cement his place in Portugal's squad - aware that Essien's arrival is likely to severely restrict his opportunities at Chelsea.

"If I want to play the World Cup 2006, I need minutes,'' conceded Tiago.

''With the arrival of Essien my situation was complicated and this proposition of Lyon is excellent.

''The option of the Champions League is*magnificent.''

It is believed that Tiago will put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract in the next few days.

Mourinho surely won't like this. Tiago is a handy player to cover for injuries in the midifield as he can hold the ball pretty good. and cover for most positions.

Nah your manager is doing a good job clearing space for the midfield, i was very critical earlier of chelsea having too big a squad but mourinho is wise enough to cut it down a bit.

Also well done on the win against arsenal. I thought although chelsea were lucky to get the goal, chelsea earned the victory and created the best chances in the match. It could easily of been 2-0 towards the end. When essien came on he a made a difference and done well considering he only had 15mins to impress, he looked strong and aware and even pissed ashley cole off with that fair tackle he made on him lol. Only thing is, chelsea must improve. Arsenal and Man U wont be the only teams to give them a good match this season.

I gonna miss Tiago :( Iam really sad he is going, and all Chelsea players are sad to see him go, I think if it wasnt the World Cup year, he would have stayed , but he needs to play to cement his place in Portugal's squad.

Good Luck to Tiago in Lyon , I think he'll do wonderful and become a superstar. :)

Im sad to see tiago go, start of last season he was very good, and i think he was consistent, but never really a world class player. Very good for fillin the gap between lamps n maka.
But still, we have now got essien and gudjohnsen in those roles, so we have in my opinion, strengthend our midfield dramatically.

Esp losing the shit that was jarosik lol! lanky streak of piss! :D
