A hem weve scored more goals then you have this season!

8 to 6.

How does that work, you have scored 6!

You've also played 2 of the relegation favourites where you should be expected to score a lot of goals.

Goals also doesn't mean good football! If you get a lead the other team have to attack leaving them open.

Im counting the community shield too! So its 8 to 6.

Goals - attacking football.

Then you're still wrong as it would be 8 to 7 (Fabulous scored) and the Charity Sheild is a pre-season friendly.

Goals = attacks not attacking football. By attacking football I mean your approach to the game. At best you are a counter attacking side.

2 relegation favourites, i guess one is WBA...
I have seen both matches against Wigan and Arsenal.
Judged on those 2 matches alone, i'm not quite sure who the second relegation favourite should be...of course i know you are talking about Wigan but i don't think they were weaker against Chelsea than Arsenal...

Not sure if that's meant to be humour (it isn't funny) or you're being serious but that is a ridiculous comment.

I think Arsenal are the only team in the country that can honestly say they are a attacking team.

Chelsea's whole style of play is dependant on the counter attack.

Of course it's a ridiculous comment Nickeybaker, your big football knowledge an unbiased opinion on football is acknowledged by everybody on this forum...i deeply want to apologize for having the audacity to reply...i'm so sorry....

Wow 2 in a row Stan you just keep going. One more and you get the hat-trick.

I dont get how you can call it "boring" football.

We are scoring goals, doing some wonderful moves, its absolutely brilliant football!

You had some wonderful moves against a crap West Brom team who were fighting for a point and then just gave up.

Apart from individual skill from Crespo against Wigan you are long ball and boring. And don't call this a biased opinion as it's what the experts say as well. They said it on match of the day and radio five live even after your game against West Brom.

I wouldn't call it boring, I would call it effective. They are doing what we did under Georgie Graham, forcing teams into submission. I can see both points of view here.

Fans of a winning team really don't care what the football is like if it gets results, however if you get a winning team that plays attacking football (like us) then the other option (effective football) just seems a bit cheap in comparison. IMO Chelsea have some great players who could go out and play an attacking, passing game, but its down to the coach. Unfortunatley the "special one" doesn't play special football.

Wait, how long has this been going on?

The last time i checked we were scoring brilliant goals. Brilliant team goals.

I can show you plenty of examples when many players link up together without long balls.

Gudjohnsen's goal against Southampton last season would probably the best example, i have every goal of lasts season i can host em up and show you.

This "boring" claim is just the claim of teams with weak centrebacks that can't handle the long ball when we do it, and so the result is, we do it more frequently.

I think you're being blinded by your teams bias when you say you are scoring brilliant goals. Some goals have been good but not brilliant. Crespo's was brilliant that is all!

I meant brilliant team goals, we are a long ball team but most of our goals come from use of the wingers, through balls or set pieces.

Dont forget the £24mill mans off the knee goal...

CLASS!!!

And you tell it was quality by his celebration!!

If you watch his eyes it's as if he didn't mean to do it.

Tonight, its not going to be easy.

Tottenham at home are strong, theyve started the season very very well and have some very good players.

Chelsea are just coming off a 4-0 win and will be full of confidence while Tottenham will hope to get at least a point.

Probable lineup, Robben and Carvalho is out with injury.

----Drogba----
-Duf------SWP-
Lamp--Mak--Ess
DH-Gal-Ter-Fer
-----Cech-----

Crespo
Joe Cole
Huth
Gudjohnsen
Cudicini

My prediction

0:1 Chelsea

Its going to be tough, and i think we will clinch it sometime in the second half.

4000th post - where else but here ;)

Game of the day without a doubt should be a cracker! Wouldnt mind a draw then IF we manage a win well be top going into the International break!:)

Tottenham and Chelsea are probably two of most exciting teams in the Premiership at the moment i cant wait for the game. I reckon it will be a draw but a wel deserved one with the best performers being Davids/Defoe and Lampard/Maka putting on an awesome display of midfield dominance. I cant beieve this is like Lampards 149th consecutive appearance (correct me if im wrong i was watchin sky sports wrecked a couple of nights ago so mite got the amount of games wrong lol  )

He knew it was a fluke!
He put his arms up by his sides!
Just cuz he admitted it, it doesnt take away the fact that it took a fluke goal to beat the Gunners.
Except for the 4-0 (against a weak team) I'm still not convinced Chelsea are really that dominating. A good performance against Spurs would change my mind though.

And how many goals do you see that can be classed as a fluke?

Let me guess, if it was Rooney it would have been a superb goal that he meant to score?

Chelsea have started shit, but I would hardly say UTD have started amazing aswell, only 3 games into the season, give it time.

Woah, Mido got a straight red, seems to be big scraps in this game based on the cards, ie Drogba and Essien both getting a yellow in 19 minutes. Chelsea against 10 men, surely a win!

If Rooney scored that, I'd be happy with the three points but disappointed with the performance cuz it proves that on another day, we could lose that game.
And whats your point? That it wasnt a fluke?

My point is, whether the goal was a fluke or an over-head kick from 60 yards out, a goal is a goal. The main goal of the game is to win the game, not score good goals, so it is pretty stupid when you come here saying a flukey goal beat the Gunners.

Chelsea are 1-0, no doubt it will be a poor performance because they are playing against 10 men?
