Yep, same old shit, if you wanna see cricket scores then watch cricket! We defended like heroes tonight, maybe if Portugal learned how to defend then they wouldn't keep crying over their deserved loss, wait, no TWO LOSSES to Greece. As for Chelsea, go ask that clapping seal (yes, the russian mafioso) for some money to buy yourself some decent attackers, because they were absolutely nowhere tonight.

To go back to Euro2004, i wanted to slap Erikkson for his score-n-bunker down tactics that proved the team's undoing vs France and Portugal. In England's case, Sven has lost repeatedly with that tactic when up a goal.
But Liverpool showed they can defend without conceding vs the two best teams in the world, so they have more reason to try it. Plus, they still looked to counter and made offensive subs, so they were keeping that option open some.

UEFA say they haven't ruled out letting 5 teams compete from 1 country, if this special situation arises.
 
In the end of the day and the season, CHELSEA has two trophys! while lame-pool will have none! CL champions for sure Ac Milan, lamepool are a joke, they desperately & inconvinceibly & controversialy won! big deal, enjoy it, not gonna be in the CL next year haha idiots!, CHELSEA needed duff badly! what a miss by Gudjohnsen! oh well, a good hard fought season.

very questionable subs and lineup, but its allover, need to regroup and get a prolific striker, drogba & kezman are horribly unreliable and inconsistent.

Chelsea won 2 trophies and for the first time in 50 years. You should be proud of their achievements but instead you come here and moan.

chelsea fans who complain abuot liverpool defending is a joke. So is mourinho when he claimed Tottenham 'parked the bus' at white hart lane. How many times this season have we seen Chelsea sit back against attacking teams they are afraid of like arsenal and just keep defending until they can counter attack and at the nou camp against Barcelona Chlesea sat back and defended.

Well shame on chelsea they still didnt progress in CL from last season. And mourinho with cheap comments like 'best team lost' Im sure Juventus,Bayern Munich or Barcelona could of easily said that after going out of CL. Just a bad loser imo.

Imo chelsea expect too much from robben all the time. Everytime the chelsea players are looking to him to make miracles happen and run past the whole of the oppositions team. Tonight he had too much pressure on his shoulders. Well 24milDrogba wont be playing next season what a waste of money!! Kezman just made me laugh with every touch he tried to make.

Well at least chelsea can say they done a poor man's double this year.

But how does it feel to win premiership, then in same week go out in semi finals of CL??

BTW football won tonight instead of money.

At the end of the day, the Blues showed that despite their big name talent, they rely on a 19 year old kid to create their massive offense too much, and that they certainly do need a healthy 2/3 of the Robben/Duff/Cole trio in order to unsettle teams.

I love Terry and Lampard so i aint gonna bash them, but as a whole, i think Mourinho didnt give them much to work with with his plan and his subs tonight. Playing Cole vs Finnan instead of the slower and oft-clumsy Traore was a big mistake.

Looking at the game we saw that, IMHO, 4 players were missing.
They weren't playing with side backs in the first place. Glen Johnson is shit, so he's out. Paulo Ferreira and Wayne Bridge would make a bigg difference, Prof Nutmeg was right when he said that chelski would miss them!
The wings were non-existent in the game. No duff, who was the player who was missed the most IMO! And Robben unfit.
Drogba, IMO also unfit, he looks like he needs to rest! Kezman, a player with undeniable capabilities, but has not been able to adapt!

As the season is over for chelski, next games are simply for show, IMO chelsea need s a LB and a RB. Gallas is CB and Glen Johnson is the worst player in the team IMO!
A winger and a striker. Bringing 4 new players and chelski should be unstoppable! :)

I could say the same sort of thing about Man Utd cuz we had loads of players missing at the start of the season. Ruud, Rooney, Ronaldo, Saha, Giggs, Heinze, Rio, etc. Thats 6 of our best starting eleven. But you never saw us complain.
Liverpool had Alonso missing who's very important but you didnt see them complain either.
You're 100% correct in saying that you had no wingers and wing backs but thats no excuse to blame your loss on it.
 
What a disappointed game... some players are really make me angry like:

Carvalho - He always make mistake lately, I prefer Huth rather than him.
Drogba - Always miss chance, very easy to knock down by opponent. This season, he doesnt worth the big money, half price will be more reasonable. Hope he can improve better next season.
Kezman - Same as usual, he's useless this season.

Duff - We miss him.
Robben - He need time to recover.
Bridge - We miss him too, Gallas is not good to play at left back.
P. Ferreira - He's the best right back of Chelsea this season.

I hope AC Milan can win the CL. Come on, Sheva!! Forza!!

my loss? well in case you haven't noticed I am a FCPorto supporter, not a chelsea supporter!

I was just making an analysis of this game! Why the defeat for chelski and why the win for Lpool!
Excuse? the wings are vital in a team, it's a fact, and they didn't existed in the last game. not because lpool made terrific defendid, they did, but because there weren't any! Well to be 100% correct the unfit Robben still managed to take a cross or two!
Lpool took advantage of the early goal and defended the result. Good work and deserved victory!
 
Come on Mourinho! Why aren't you shushing us now? He was outclassed by Benitez in terms of tactics in both legs, fact!

But I'll give some credit to the Liverpool defencer, Carragaher(sp?), he's good but i dont like him.

Well, if the goal hadn't been allowed it would have been a penalty anyway and a red card for Cech, so you got off lightly.
 
Well, thats the end of our competitive season. Similar thing to what happened with us and Arsenal last year, they kept beating us until we met in the UEFA Champions League.

The goal and the chances - over the line? Who cares! I have to say that justice was done with that goal because it could have been worse for us. Cech could have been shown the red card and Cudicini would have had to attempt to save the penalty (however, juding Liverpools penalty taking standards - it wouldnt have been that hard). I do not know why Didier Drogba took that free kick, as he cannot really score from that range, but Lampards was much better. I just lost that little glimmer of hope when i saw Gudjohsens shot flash by the far post.

The Tactics - 4-3-2-1 works for us, WHEN ROBBEN AND DUFF ARE PLAYING. Gudjohnsen was all over the plce and Joe Cole really didnt stand much of a chance. I have to give credit to Liverpools tactics though. The three centre midfielders was just a brilliant idea to protect the back 4. Every Chelsea player was closed down before they had a crack, even Frank Lampard.

The Manager - I cannot understand why Jose Mourinho did not take off Tiago at half time. Actually, i cant even understand why he started with Tiago, but ill get on to that later. We had no width, and he did not change that, he wanted Cole and Gudjohnsen to play deep for some reason, which I still do not know.

The Players - We had 4 first teamers out, in Robben, Duff, Ferreira and Bridge. Liverpool had 1 first teamer out, Xabi Alonso through a contraversial suspension. Everyone did an average job, considering that they did look very weary. However, TIAGO, KEZMAN and 24M DROGBA, were all pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I do have sympathy for Drogba as his role is just to flick the long ball over the top over to Cole and Gudjohnsen, however this was difficult as they were playing too deep, however he does have to improve his awareness of where the other players on the pitch are, but this may take a season or two. However, Mateja Kezman had no excuses. As soon as he came on, he made very poor touches and runs and we might as well have played with 10 men. Tiago Mendes is another question. Why did Mourinho sign this faggot? Why does Mourinho start with this faggot? He cant pass, he cant run, he cant tackle, I have heard such great things about him from his days in the Portugese League, but i havent seen any of that.

The Atmosphere - Here, i must give credit to the lads from Merseyside, they stuck with their side and i would love to hear this kind of atmosphere back at the bridge. They booed every bit of Chelsea poccession and literally, i feel had a part to play in this game. The kop were the reason why Jamie Carragher and the rest of the Liverpool squad kept playing as if they werent weary, although we know how they mustve been feeling during the game. That has been one of the critisims of the reds this season, the fact that theyre players just cant keep their tempo and no nonsense defending up for 90 minutes, however yesterday, they looked like they could do it for 120 minutes.

My Verdict - Do not be too disheartened, for this season has been a great success, we are The F.A. Premier Leauge Champions along with the holders of the Carling Cup. This victory however would it have made the season all the sweeter. As for Liverpool, good luck in Istanbul, for you shall need it, as Milan are a top top side. I hope you guys win though, so we can bring that Champions League trophy for England. I dont know if this will make you lads feel any better but, I know it hurts to be knocked out of the UEFACL Semi-Final, but imagine losing in the final, which is what Liverpool could be facing.

Hahhahah at least we are still guaranteed Champions League football next season however. :P

All I'm trying to say is live with the fact that your team was weak. It happens to everyone. Like how it happened to Man Utd earlier in the season.
I know what happened was sad but its still an excuse.
And Why was Robben playing down the center when he came on?

ManUtds n' Liverfools supporters don't forget... This is the first season of Mourinho in Chelsea! Next year he'll revenge the lost of CL, and I 100% sure than he'll win CL next year!
