Call of Duty: World at War

mm, this ones either hit or miss,

+
* better and bigger looking maps
* better servers
* More of a team game

-
* glitches underground where people can kill you but u can't kill them unless you have a tank
* gun's aren't as effective
* doesn't feel like a brand new game, just feels more like an expansion from cod4 (just changed guns etc.)

i can see this as some mode, not actually storyline. because i read somewhere that you have to complete the game first to do this so i'm guessing its some funny mode

It says at the start of the video "bonus mode". Reminds me of the guys who make PES putting giant unlockable dog heads in the game, complete waste of time. Just makes you want to grab one of the fuckers and scream "GET ON WITH YOUR JOB AND MAKE THE GAME BETTER YOU KNOB". Rhymes and everything.

I may give this a miss, was in the beta and it was alright, weapons didn't give me much satisfactions and I fookin hate vehicles in FPS. There is just no need.

This is £27 at Asda on both the 360 and PS3. Offer ends 16th November.

Hmmmm... thats tempting. I've got about £24 credit at Game and £17 at Blockbuster - which I was going to use for COD5 and Mirrors Edge. May try to get COD5 at ASDA and trade it in at one of those?!

£27 is a great price - all games should be priced at £25-£27. Some of the game prices in Game (i.e. £49.99) are scandalous...

Just played 2 rounds of Hardcore team death match and I admit it takes time to adapt to the new types of weapons, but overall its still good online and the campaign mode is immense.

pc world have a price difference offer.

110% of price difference

So say PCW are charging £50 for CoD5, minus asda's price difference of £23 (making it = £27), plus the extra 10% difference (£2.30) = £24.70 INSTORE

just take a copy of the advert found in today's Sun and (for londoners) the Metro.

Yeah but its basically a updated COD4

nothing much has changed apart from the setting and maps

What a massive coincidence, I'm just typing out a story in off-topic to do with Currys'/PC World's price difference offer. ARSEHOLES.

all i see is a ww2 expansion pack of cod4 :)

seriously i would only get this game if it was £10 or less. im sure their is a pc mod team that could practicly make this as a cod4 mod

Really enjoying this TBF! Played about an hour of MP last night and it was superb - think its unfair to write this off as 'COD4 in WW2'.

The maps are much bigger and more interesting, so lots of chance of ambush and cover and the more primitive weapons pack a nice kick.

Looking forward to getting into the SP - didnt realise it had trophy support too, so thats a bonus.

EDIT: Just remembered the other new feature (i think!) - WaW is a LOT more brutal than COD4 - I was running down some stairs and someone surprised me coming up - he shot me with the shotgun and my legs kind of exploded into chunks! Was awesome...

For £27, cannot go wrong - cheers ASDA!

I totally agree with the above, and the campaign is fantastic and much longer than COD4. Some of the interaction is wonderful with my MSG I shot a guys leg off and it looked immense.

It's brill. Is it me or is online MP a lot smoother? Also, I thought that bug where I have to reset my router was still in, turns out it's not. I left it on for a bit and it connected me anyways.

Yea, online was VERY smooth last night - hoping it stays that way. Dont think you are on my PSN Matt, so I'll add you and perhaps see you in the trenches!?
