Regarding the article from Lee Dixon that is not all correct comparing Nigel Winterburn to Gibbs is stupid for many reasons.
1) Gibbs was drafted in through injury, your comparing him to one of the Premier League's best ever left-backs.
2) Arsenal, like most Premier League clubs feature attacking full-backs, almost like wing-backs and it was rare to ever see Winterburn forward, you think if you stuck Winterburn to play Gibbs as role as a wing-back he wouldn't be able to run up and down the touchline and attack and track-back as much him.
But really all you need is a big aerially dominant centre-back to partner Toure, someone like Brede Hangeland or Per Metersacker. And you shouldn't get rid of Adebayor, he gives you a different kind of threat. You also need a ball-winner in the middle of the park. Van Bommel would work for you or someone like Marcos Senna or even Gokhan Inler.
