I don't think that is true. I think lots of experienced players would be willing to play for us. It's just if Wenger will be willing to buy them?

I dont see why Arsenal fans hate Eboue so much. Everytime I've seen him play he's been pretty decent. Maybe not the ideal started, but a great choice to have a squad with depth.

Barry obviously wanted to get paid 100k a week - so he wouldn't have come to us anyway.

and before you say we should up our wage bill to get decent players in, maybe we should, but Barry is not worth 100k a week.

Basically Any team up against Man City will find it tough to get the players unless the player doesn't care about money? they are the new chelsea, they will buy players for twice the amount any other team will pay and they will pay stupid wages.
 
You need a solid cb and a better dmf. If you get 2 solid guys for those positions and that NEVER EVER had injuries in their lifetime you will be a real threat next season.
 
Hm, I didn't think we needed more of an attacking threat with all the options we have, but it's already been said; we need a DM and a CB if we really want to compete for the Premiership next year

Too true. But if he wants CL footie he could either stay at Wolfsburg or sign for Arsenal - providing they qualify for CL.

Would be great if AW landed this deal and Ade was sold for 15-20M. With that kind of money, a decent DM and a CB could be on the cards.

If that blog post in the previous page is anything to go by, I like the idea of selling Adebayor to get a DM and a CB and signing a striker who can score goals- IF we can get that much for Ade.
 
I don't know if Dzeko (without Grafite) would do that well for Arsenal.
From what i heard, when they played together they played damn well and since they had barely no injuries through out the season they got their reputation pretty high. I think you won't get the results you want for just buying him.
On a side note you don't need attackers, as it has been said here thousands of times, you need a "makelele" and a "cannavaro" type of player, if you get these 2, and a beatification from the pope against injuries, your winning the EPL.
 
Both Gallas and Toure have had better days. But still, he's the most reliable CB at the moment. Is Senderos coming back?

And what about this talk of Richard coming... BS isn't it?

Senderos should be coming back - but I don't think he wants to :LOL:

Micah Richards I wouldn't mind seeing at Arsenal. But It would probably in exchange for Toure I would imagine....if it did happen. Richards is quality but he had a shit season last season so his value has plummeted, so it might be a good time to buy him.
 
Yeah Richards is vastly overrated. He's not had a shit season, he's been exposed. He's ok at right back, but at centre half he's a complete liability. Titus Bramble is much better but you'd never get him cos of his reputation from the old days.
 
Yeah, he was awesome. Collosal at the back for the pie munchers, they kept 13 clean sheets which was one of the main reasons they finished so highly as they weren't exactly banging the goals in after Zaki went cold.

Apparantly Bruce wants to take Bramble and Cattermole (another good young player) to Sunderland with him, that wouldn't do bad at all.
 
The Belgian Vermaalen is a big star of Football Manager. I believe you can get some info on him from iMScouting.com
