Arsenal Thread

I thought the wee is a natural (DM) anyway its like a rich kid buying a new toy and throwing it in the closet still in the bag. To me we bought no one...

Exactly that bebo! ahaha
A toy still in its plastic casing tossed away in the closet. That's how I feel every time Arsenal signs a new kid that will be loaned out for sure.
And while that is happening, the first team is crying for ready players as defensive options.

I really hope Wenger has something real lined up, or else he will just reinforce the script people use to mock his transfer dealings... "need a centre half? Get a 17 year old playmaker wonderkid".

I'm not sure he's a DMF bebo. I read it elsewhere he is a creative midfielder. It doesn't matter anyway. The kid's 17 and won't be playing for us in the foreseeable future.

Open the god damned cheque book Arsene!

Debuchy out and you can't recall Jenkinson, that's gotta hurt.

This new kid is supposedly a deep-lying play maker, as opposed to a real play maker Rentboy, so that's probably what you heard.

Khedira is available on a free come this the end of the year, surely you guys have to at least register interest?

I didn't know Wenger cannot recall Jenkinson. In that case, he will go forward with Chambers and Bellerin for RB and get a CB (hopefully). He sort of admitted he might bring a new defender in, so let's see.

As for the kid, Bielik, he is one for the future, granted. I don't know how good he really is, but the thing is we need personnel for right now. We are already loaning loads of youngsters and he will be just another one as far as we're concerned.

Apart from Alexis that starting 11 v Man City is horrible.

We're getting spanked today and then we'll be level on points with West Ham with over half a season played.

Well done, Wenger.

Calm down!
We're actually playing with caution, defending a lead while staying focused in defense. I haven't seen us doing that in a while!
Let's hope the boys keep the levels of concentration and defend as a team, while we hopefully get another goal on a counter.

PS: Szczesny will find it hard to reclaim his position. The fans seem to be loving Ooooooospina!

Koeman - Manager of the season!

Edited ;)

Today was great but I still don't want Wenger here after this season.

City were just really bad today. You buy the wrong players after winning the league rather than go for the best and make your team even better - twice that has happened now, after winning PL the first time and then in summer before this season started - Should have gone for Fabregas and Di Maria, they would make you unstoppable. Navas is awful, Milner a donkey - Fernando is nothing special.

I have to say, Kompany is a right moaning idiot. He's always having a go at the ref, like he hasn't done anything wrong. He reminds of guy from Star Wars (sorry for size of image, cant find a smaller one!!)

By saying stuff like that, the irony is, you are becoming like everything your fanbase hated about Man Utd fans. The arrogance and "we will buy everyone" routine.

The harsh truth is, City and Chelsea won't be able to throw the oil money around any longer like they could. Especially City - you are not a big enough club with huge income like us, Liverpool and Man Utd. Even Noel Gallagher said in interview that city will never be able to "do a man Utd and become huge globally".

So enjoy buying our rubbish like Sagna and Adebayor! Us and Man Utd will sign the likes of Alexis and Di Maria!

Don't worry, I only do it for you. I just joke about Sanchez anyway. I don't think we'll sign him. Arse would probably want an unrealistic amount and supposedly his missus demanded London

We'll be fine. To correct you, only Utd have a higher revenue.

Im happy for the win I think we played well in moving the ball around. That penalty could easily been over look, not sure Kompany realize he was inside the box.

I like the way City plays and shutting down Silva was key...although they kept Alexis quiet. I rather City win the league(if) Arsenal doesn`t :D

The fans has shown ahhhh OspiNA! support today. Let`s see what Chesny dad has to say about that lol.
Coq will be better than the portugueser calhalvo, homegrown approval.
Where was Ozil/Theo at? Cazorla stole the show and kept them on the bench to watch. Today was a good day \0/

Cazorla was like a tank at one point in the 2nd half

wow i canot believe what i saw today.

That was not wenger behind the dogout.

That performance, tactics and team selection was very un-wenger

The reports about transfers all point to the same direction: a bid for brazilian centre-half Gabriel Paulista from Villareal. Problem is, he doesn't have a work permit or a EU passport.

Once again I can't understand these kind of moves. I thought we needed a defender, like, NOW. What's the use of getting a guy we will have to loan out for years before he gets a work permit?

To make matters comically worse, some papers suggest we're ready to offer Joel Campbell to Villareal in this deal. Yeah, that same Joel Campbell we had to loan out for 3 years before he could put on an Arsenal shirt!

Quite frankly, these things make absolutely no sense to me. Feels like we're going in circles here.

I truly hope this is all rubbish and Wenger has his eyes elsewhere for a readily available player.

John Cross ‏@johncrossmirror Gabriel Paulista was quoted in Mirror on Mon saying he's leaving it all to his agent. Agent has spent last 2 days at passport office..

haha!

the reality!
Guillem Balague @GuillemBalague · 2h 2 hours ago

Villarreal sells Gabriel for €20m of his buy out clause (and even less!). But Arsenal not even close to that figure. Negotiations continue

could be smoking mirrors for someone else.

now that Ozil is back, what do you fans reckon Wenger will do? and What do you think he should do? Keep Carzola there and put Ozil somewhere else or on the bench, or quickly place Ozil back in his rightful spot and shift Carzola out wide?

The thing is the way The Arsenal plays no one sticks to their position across the middle.Cazorla is on form while Ozil needs games time. I think it depends on the opponent and scoreline. FACup weekend give Sanchez/Cazorla a rest I say.

Yep I agree we should see Ozil in FA Cup.

He is nowhere near the player for us that he was for Real Madrid though, I want to see him regain that form.

Arsenal players forced me to change football philosophy :CONFUSE: http://www.scoopnest.com/out/?url=http://t.co/Llt0kQ2b0b&id=558696146210930689

Wenger said: “At some stage you cannot go against the feelings of the team because it’s detrimental to the result...“Of course (I listened to the players). Your tactics have to be aligned as well with the feeling of the team and with the confidence level of the team.”

The pride has been broken and a new mold can be build? He like to win w/ a certain style ALL the time. I think his style is great for a weaker side only... I`m glad he could be open minded to change. He may win me back after all :SMUG:

apparently Joel was to start tomorrow FA Cup match vs Brighton. Its gone to shit now, Cazorla had to convince Joel of its benefits at his old club  and Villarreal already posted 'Welcome to Villarreal Joel'

Arsenal has made (2) bids (1)RM`s Illarramendi (1) BVB`s Grosskreutz for £3.7m
