Arsenal Thread

I liked it aswell to be fair but its his attitude look at the post above he says, he feels compelled to mention when somebody clrearly doesnt know what they are talking about.

Then mentions the Maradona debate where he was talking about somebody (drekkard) that watched him in every game and alot of other amazing players to compare, including watching messi from the beggining etc he watched them live etc and followed the career and what actually happened at the time.

Then Zero selects 5 games to watch and his opinion is the right one? Its just silly.

If he had the normal comversation and said his views then it is fine, its his arrogance about what he thinks is correct which is just plain annoying and drags threads like this one into crappy areas.

It is a gift i have to give him that, its so hard not to answer him back

The discussion didn't start with drekkard by the way. He was not the one that fueled my guns on the subject.

When someone (not drekkard) say that this or that player is clearly better than another player when they haven't really even seen that latter player at all except for a few youtube clips, would you say it's an overreaction to say they don't really have a clue of what they're talking about?

Nothing provokes me more than that to be honest. That certain someone have a nack for doing just that on a regular basis as well, so I guess that's why I felt especially compelled to say something. Funny thing is that I'd never in a million years thought I'd defend Maradona's "honor" in a discussion.

I watched a lot of Maradona's matches from 83 and beyond myself, so it's not like I felt that I had nothing to come with from the start. Quite frankly, if drekkard watched live on stadium and I watched on TV I'd be pretty confident that I had the better view as well. But that's beside the point.

I watched the five matches to make sure my views weren't twisted, to refresh my memory if you will. For example, if you have served in the army and someone ask you how it was, you say it was fine. In reality it was nothing of the kind but the brain works so that you remember mostly the good parts.

PS. I didn't sidetrack here, you did. I'm just answering your accusations.

PPS. Nice goal by Flamini. I guess Swansea was there for the taking as well? ;)

we fucked it up again.

Ah well it probably deserved a draw anyway.

plus points Gibbs and Kallstrom looked good when he came on. Podolski scored and set up one.

But if we play like this at the weekend it will be curtains!

I hope Wenger is smashing up the dressing room, this display was half hearted, we needed something more.

hopefully things are better for the City game or we could be looking to get ripped apart again.

What a shame!! A team like Arsenal cannot lose points this way! The match should be controlled when you are winning 2-1 near of the end! A team like Arsenal cannot concede a goal this way!

This only proves that Arsenal is really a sh*t and a new manager is needed...

Exactly mate, in fact I want him to come in for debriefing in the dressing room like this:

We have the right to be angry for two reasons: firstly for the half hearted, gutless performance. But since we got bailed on a minute of brilliance, we should have been able to hang on to that lead.

The way the team played for the whole 1st half makes it look as though Wenger didn't make his feelings clear to his players after the 6-0 mauling. To put it mildly.

I'll tell you what, forget the Man City game, the way the team is playing we should be wondering if those guys are capable of beating Wigan. Playing the way they do at the minute, I'd say Wigan are favourites.

All gone pear shaped again at the business end.

Scholes was scathing but you can't really argue. in Noel Gallagher's words, "Arsenal have too many little fellas buzzing about and not enough leaders"

You could go on to win a trophy but then be left wishing you'd reclaimed your 4th place 'trophy' instead

I hope we increase your misery for one week more but do you a favour by beating Everton in the penultimate game of the season :TU:

What did I say? Oh.. right :)

If you have to quote yourself soon you'll be talking to yourself too.

Big trouble. Boohoo. Just take a look at the league standings exactly one year ago and also in the season before that.

Our title chances are over now for sure, but nothing of this is worse than what Arsenal have gone through before.

wenqre hardly in big trouble, still 6 points off o the top spot, its hardly the worst position to be in.

And our team are hardly shit, we have our best defender out arguably 3 of our best midfielders are out and our best forward player.

Its frustrating and we need to find another gear to get to the end of the season.

We are a couple of points from Liverpool this season, who had no European football, went out of the cups and just had to concentrate on the league and against the teams Man City and Chelsea have ammassed.

It is sad that we are chances of winning the league are scuppered, but that is the way it goes. It is hardly a crises.

We need to play well against City and bring a bit of confidence back, then we can easily go on a winning run imo, so alhouhh Everton are breathing down our necks, i am hooing fir anresponse from the players.

And of course we need to win the FA cup :))

FA cup, 4th place and with a steongr squad to build on for next season, it is a step forward and inthink woth a couole of new signings we can donbetter next season.

Ps my iphone is a dick, that is why you see the weird spellings :PP

You don't listen to yourself very often then?

I was talking about you (and the voices in your head).

You're bragging about how you are always right, so you come here saying Everton might take 4th place from Arsenal.
Wow, you don't say...I'm speechless. Bravo! :APPLAUD:

If they don't though, that wouldn't make you wrong either, would it?
Brilliant contribution. Thank you very much.

On second thought, I'm not even going to explain to you how dumb that post was but it has something to do with cohesion that went straight above your head.

I'm very concern w/ these results of late. FACup had nothing to do w/ the league. I'm not confident we'll get a good result vs. City. There's too many gaps in the midfield and the lack of seem to get wide open on the counter.

I'd like the bickering to stop in here if you please.

Let this thread be more positive than Arsene's team at least ;)

Yep it is worrying, the biggest worry for me is defence, we were doing so well, but without Koscielny we dont look as solid (and we arent) the confidence has been sapped, but we need it back before we play Man City or we could get bummed at home, which will make me cry.

The only thing inhave hope for is that our home form inthe league is very good, but we will see.

With Arse sapped of confidence and suffering a few injuries, we should win but I've only seen us win twice at Arsenal in my lifetime so not exactly confident

Zabaleta is the best RB in the league so that would be surprising, on the other hand it wouldn't as Arsenal have become City's feeder club in some respect over the last 5 years

Sagna's departure on a free was something waiting to happen. Inter Milan were trying to sign him, but their president said 'Sagna wants to stay in England'.

So what does that mean? He's probably not staying with Arsenal. Normally my bet would be Man Utd, because they need a RB, since Rafael has been so rubbish. But then again, no Europe for him next season if he goes there.

City, Chelsea, Liverpool? I really don't see it, but it is bound to happen.

If this is the case, the saga continues... Arsenal selling their best players to domestic rivals. In this case, not even selling.

How Wenger gets talked into letting a player go into his final year without renewal? If he's concerned with finances and squad stability he should have placed Sagna on the Transfer List and started blooding in young Carl Jenkinson.
That's ruthless and sounds crazy given Sagna's performances, but this would be the only way to retain some control over such assets.

Sagna came in 2007 for a very small fee and turned into one of the finest fullbacks in the world, and we're letting him go on a free.
What's next, they will let Özil run down his contract in 4 years time too?

Im sure we want him and we have been trying to sign hkm up in a new contract for a very long time, if he wants a new challenge and a final bumper pay check before he retires the. There isnt much more we can do, unless we offer him 100,000 a week for the next 3 years and i can understand why Arsenal wouldnt want to do that.

In this case indont think you can be pissed with Arsenal, as i said from what i have heard he wants a new challenge and Arsenal have been trying to renew his contract for the last couple of seasons.
