Arsenal Thread

Injuries is whats' going to destroy you if you don't bring in the players, I invested a lot in Wilshire being the one to step up when Cesc and Nasri departed but we all know how that's turned out, Arshavin and Walcott just don't look like top 4 players to me either.

Worrying times.

Mate don't come in here with your bile views ...worry about where r mutd going to find room for another trophy cabinet. ;)

I hope everyone put their scoring boots on for tonight .

I think it's at least kind of exciting. Arsene has a huge great pot of money, and 6 days to spend it. That's kind of fun right?

He knows he has to, so I'm sure right now he's sitting on his living room floor, big book of Ligue Un almanacs scattered around him trying to decide.

And as some others have pointed out - what else can he do? When Man City will pay £25m for a player that in 12 months would be free (essentially writing off most team's entire transfer budget) what can a team without a sugar daddy do?

At some point the sugar daddies will become bored, and City will crumble like the fake financial model it's built upon. And then clubs that actually spend somewhere near what they make will be king. Arsene is just waiting for that day.

You would hope UEFA come down hard with the FFP rules, otherwise he will be waiting a long, long time! Do you really think he will spend a lot? It's not like the money hasn't been available anyway, and he is too stubborn to buy out of media/fan pressure imo.

If he does want to spend, he can buy J.Cole! And Poulsen! I'm sure Kenny will do him a good deal, we've already been given 3 points.

I'd love to see Hazard and Gourcuff in the prem. Alongside a good CB from the continent, and perhaps a big striker.

Might be controversial, but I wonder if Chelsea would consider a loan for Lukaku... ;)

Yeah, Nasri is seriously going to need to justify why he'd want to leave a top 4 club at which he would be the focal point, playing every week for one where his role in the starting XI is hardly clear.

I mean, other than the obvious one.

To win trophies?

What a dick, he had his little dig at the fans aswell, so more reason to boo the fucker :))

I do think he did move to go to a club that could win things alot easier, more than the money (althoug I still think the money had a big deal in it) but I still don't like him.

It's weird, now he is at city I hate his face....ugly bastard! :DD

COME ON ARSENAL!!! If we get an early goal tonight we should be sweet hoepfully...Please god let us get through!

What a dick Nasri actually is!!
IMO Arsenal fans are one of the best in prem.
But Man city fans well big part of them are only glory hunters and support them couse they have money and the bring big players in!

I would love Hazard and Gourcuff to but Gourcuff looks unlikely but Hazard might be possible!

We are not losing!!!!
Well but if we lose It will be much more difficult to sign a player for Wenger couse coming to Arsenal u expect CL football!!

Are we still losing jonney? c'mon where is your belief!
Great reasult Man Of The Match:Szczesny !

I am realy surprised about Jenkinson he is playing very well for ex-league one player!

Yea, cos 30 thousand blues crammed into Maine Road in the 3rd tier of English football were hunting for the glory of beating York...

I wonder if getting through might be what was needed to bring players through now, only time will tell. Ramsey had a massive pimple on his fore head , it must`ve grew during the match lol

Fucking hell that was close! Udinese have a very dangerous team and Di Natale, at 34, still a real menace.

I'm glad the lads pulled it off! This match had 3 heroes IMO:
Sagna, who played fantastic for someone who was improvised in the left, going forward well and providing an assist;
Gervinho, who seemed able to dribble past Udinese's defenders at will. This boy looks a real menace. Great play and assist to Robin, too..
And finally, SZCZ!!! What a keeper we've got now!! :) That penalty save was the best I remember watching. But overall he passes on his confidence to our defenders, he made a couple of really good saves today!

Now that we're in the CL and have about £90m to spend. Fucking spend it properly Monsieur Wenger!!
CMON ARSENAL!

Great result, really good second half, great come back especially closing in on the first half where we were under the cosh.

Such an important result. Thank fuck for that!

big two fingers up to everyone who thought we were going to get knocked out and hoping we would :DD

Lets get the man united game out of the way and get on with the league etc.

Could the CL stop you getting into the top 4 tho?

I hope so but dont forget, we beat Barca last season and that diddnt even lift our team. You would have thought it would though.

Time will tell. 3 points against united?

Marseille, Olympiakos and Dortmund. We certainly got the strongest team in pot 4, Dortmund. Overall, it could be better, we could've drawn Apoel or something... but could've been a lot worse too.

That's a more balanced group, and if it's not taken seriously (as last year, finishing 2nd to Shakhtar) we could be in for a bad surprise.

We have now 6 days to improve this squad!

Dortmund will be naive in Europe I reckon. They play some lovely stuff but they're a very open team, I'd like to see them go through but I reckon they'll struggle away from home.

Marseille have nothing up front (at least, unless they signed someone decent this summer?) and only really caused us issues last year because they're fairly good defensively.

Olympiakos away from home might be slightly tricky because of the hostile atmosphere but I doubt they'd cause much of an issue.

Even Citeh's group isn't that bad, they'll probably draw their way through it in a typical boring manner.

Could have been much worse, but Arsenal like to make everything a slog, so we will see.

Time is ticking with transfers! hopefully we get a few in :DD
