Arsenal Thread

Europa League footie for Ade, that's more like it, he was out of his league at Madrid and Arsenal :)

So, after Mercenasri had that lil dig at our fans, Fab followed suit and told the press that Arsenal didn't have at Emirates the same atmosphere as Highbury.
Funny little fellas. The former never even played at Highbury and the latter sounds like a real Highbury veteran. Piss off!

Maybe there's some truth to this, but then the reason for a better atmosphere at Highbury would be having Bergkamp, Henry, Pires, Vieira, Ljungberg. With a lineup like that, any football ground would come alive :)

I think Fab is more on long the lines that he hasn`t won anything since the emirates. Highbury was a time of trophies.... he doesn`t want to highlight his failures I mean it was the emirates days that improved him as a player. nasri just think City will be the future !

Thing is City won`t be looked at as high regards... Only player I respect is Hart ,but everyone else left their clubs £££. This club has a revolving door and a vacuum from Arsenal`s :LMAO: No worries we did good even with our ex-players including Nasri . I honestly was livid with Nasri I felt he was playing for himself ever since he was nominated for PFA then ran out of gas . He is perfect for ManCity and to think MUTD never made a bid ...NO RM ....NO Barca....NO MUTD...only MCity

Dortmund will be naive in Europe I reckon. They play some lovely stuff but they're a very open team, I'd like to see them go through but I reckon they'll struggle away from home.

Marseille have nothing up front (at least, unless they signed someone decent this summer?) and only really caused us issues last year because they're fairly good defensively.

Olympiakos away from home might be slightly tricky because of the hostile atmosphere but I doubt they'd cause much of an issue.

Even Citeh's group isn't that bad, they'll probably draw their way through it in a typical boring manner.

I think your not watching the same football as I do...dortmund an open team? the way they play I think they can regain possesion better than barca does and their pressure system is outstanding along with extremely fit players that cover big distance every game. I wont be suprise if they top the group.

Seriously though.. it does take the piss at £6m, but a player with no CL experience at £17m also takes the piss. I think it'll be £14m that'll close the deal.

no. its either 6m or we get him for free next summer. maybe 10m max if where pushing it. balls in our court for this one i reckon

unless man city , united, liverpool bid for him but it looks like where the only ones so thet risk losing him for free

£14m is still crazy money mate! This Cahill fella isn't better than Koscielny. Tell them to get real! For this kind of money, you throw a few more bucks and get Jagielka.

There's people saying we offered £10m + Bendtner for Cahill, and I sincerely hope this is just a rumour.

Wow .. my bad... i didn't realise he only had one year left on his contract... i'll eat my my £14m :D

Hazard and Sneijder could really change things up. Still would fancy a defender and an alternative for Van Persie and Song (maybe Frimpong is up for this task though).

Hazard has the potential be one of the best in the world, Apparently Gerd claims that he might not have the commitment to fulfil that but ability wise he could be a much better player than Nasri.

Sneijder isn't coming, you wouldn't pay Nasri 100+ a week in wages why would you suddenly do it for Sneijder who wants 200+.

It sounds like Hazard won't come by what he and his club are saying and agree about Sneijder, why would he not go to Man united and come to us instead? and we wouldn't pay those wages.

It would be fantastic if they did both come though :DD

If Inter didn´t wanted to sign him to United or City..i doubt they would to Arsenal.. with all respect.. especialy after selling Eto´o...

actually i think Inter will buy someone great from Eto´o money...

Nore would u. you wouldnt pay Sneijder same wage as Rooney. Your club is not like man city and with us offloading fab who was on 110k a week plus eboue, nasri etc. thats way over 200k saved in salary. give that to Sneijder and its no problem and arsenal will be exactly where they was at the start of the summer transfer it terms of overal salary we spend on our squad.

Arsenal can afford Sneijder easily. in transfer fee and salary. Fabregas, nasri and co wasnt sold because we had trouble playing their salary mate. We was happy pay over 200k per week on those 3+ players.

And dont say that "well if u give Sneijder 200k what about the rest of the team?" Same question to united, you give Sneijder 200k, what about nani? giggs, etc etc who have all contributed and help united wiin things plus the fact that in rooney's contract, no one in that team can earn as high as him?

Saw Mata today for Chelsea. We missed out on a fantastic player :(
It's infuriating how things are done in transfer market, and you have to be rational and agree with Wenger about all this secrecy. He cannot afford his steps in the market to be known. Clubs run by sugar daddies will always get there with a shitload of cash and turn the players' heads.

Seems like City and Chelsea are leaning on Wenger's knowledge. To either take the players before (Lukaku, Mata) or afterwards (Clichy, Nasri, Touré, Adebayor). In Nasri's case, it was a clear cut case of the player being tapped.

So I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger gets this Korean striker, because it's not being talked about, so it seems more feasible.

^ then arsene should hype up some random unknown worthless player and see if chelsea or city go for him:BOP::P:JAY:
