Arsenal Thread

Have you even read Belial's posts? You seriously think he hasn't been flaming, trying to start something up?

So it's fine for him to insult people, their intelligence but when Bobby says something back, he's pulled for it?

Like this?

All of that is acceptable then? It's double-standards to pull Bobby up when Belial has spoken nothing but shit and insulted people all over.

Sorry Lami, you're wrong with that post. Belial has done nothing but come back to Evo-Web with the intention of winding people up and when someone replies to his insults, they're pulled up.

If you're going to moderate and tell someone their behaviour is wrong, you need to do it across the board and not pick out one person.

I thought you had me on ignore? After I tore to shreds your strawman argument that Liverpool's debt is similar to United's. After presenting facts and figures there was no evidence in my post indicating any precious offence to you. Yet you threw you're toys out of the pram and behaved like a child.

Now we have resorted to becoming a tell tale snitch to get one back on me. You do realise they have been all comments towards someone who insulted me first. Most of my comments are accurate observations of another's posting style, where a lot have discrepancies towards my own posting style. I have no problem with that - As I'm not on here to make best buddies, im here to discuss football

Lets end this here.

A note to everyone,

Argue and debate all you want.

Rules: No Flaming. No winding up. No disrespecting no one in the process. If you can't handle it, then ignore, agree to disagree, or let it be. Flaming will only make matters worse. If you insist then take it somewhere else, not on public boards.

Whoever disagrees with me, please feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Just received the local rag & found a little story on Fabregas, maybe he isn't going anywhere at all.

Fabregas coming to St Albans? (From St Albans & Harpenden Review)

Fabregas coming to St Albans?
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, who set up the goal that won the World Cup for Spain last night, is rumoured to have bought a £2 million house in St Albans.

The star has been linked with Barcelona throughout the summer but the London club have held firm and rejected all bids from the Catalan giants.

It remains to be seen whether or not the creative midfielder will get his 'dream move' back to the Nou Camp but Arsenal fans will be hoping that he has decided to stay in England by purchasing a property in St Albans. A source has told the Review that the star player, priced at 40 million Euros, bought a house in Marshalls Drive, one of the most expensive addresses in the district, about three weeks ago.

Marshalls Drive is just down the road from me, I imagine it's this house, or another one very similar that has just been completed (people buy £2-3million houses in that street & the first thing they do is knock them down).

6 bedroom house for sale in Marshals Drive, St. Albans, AL1

The cheapskate should've bought the one opposite, it's a proper house with a proper pool!

5 bedroom detached house for sale in St Albans,Hertfordshire, AL1

the plot thickens

Sorry guys :))

Especially to Jonney. The remark to Jonney was wrong of me, but it was meant to be a joke, as anybody who reads through this thread knows me and Jonney very rarely agree on anything. But it did come out wrong.

Lami I did over react and I probably started it fully by saying that beliel first post was shit etc. But also on the other hand if you can't see Beliels 'subtle' (not so subtle in my opinion) digs and comments then I think you are the only one.

the first one I told him why his thoughts were rubbish. He came back with that he deals with facts and was very condescending saying thats what people do when they have a debate. But then he posted videos and then gave his opinion on them (not fact)...which I then gave my opinion and some real facts, especially on Fabregas spitting at Ballack.

Then he told me how the whole Fabregas wage hike happened. Even though there is no evidence to back what he is saying up?! its just his opinion on what might have happened.

So that is what angered me, on the basis he is a hypocritical arrogant person IMO, who likes to feel superior to others.....I don't think I am the only one not to like the way he posts?

I think it is funny that he is being likened to a breath of fresh air  what because he makes up stuff to be controversial and stand out? sounds like one of the cheapest tabloid writers to me.

anyway I wont reply to his posts.

Sorry to Jonney again, although I dont agree with much of what he says and he frustrates me. Jonney is a valued poster in this thread.. whereas some others aren't IMO.

You only managed to successfully dispute one point which was the cesc/ballack incident. All other points and evidence through sources I presented, you came up short and resorted to swearing and abuse because you didnt know what else to do.

You call me a hypocrite yet you're prepared to justify diving in the game because everyone does it apparently. And cesc is just too nice a guy to be doing such a thing. Remember that point?

You see, I never contradict myself or twist things to suit an agenda to gloss over things to do with mine or any other club that one supports. Just cold unadulterated facts which is what fans dont like as they love living in fantasises believing they're the best and most holy, yet time and time again evidence proves the contrary.

Rosell's come out and said Barca have 50m Euros left to spend which is about £40m so that could be the most they'll offer for Cescy.

must bite tongue......must not write another reply to Beliel.....keep going, I actually find your posts quite funny now :))

Ah stil closing your eyes to the truth of fabregas's sly dirty character that you believed was holy and pure.

You should know I speak to a lot of arsenal fans and they share similar traits to yourself. They always manage to justify the bad happenings at their club by consoling and convincing themselves that it really isn't happening.

Fabregas to me is a saint he didnt spit, his lands on faces not backsides. Pique spits behind the man`s back...chicken shit!

It doesn't even matter who spat, because both of them were too drunk to think for themselves.

A good reminder to stay away from alcohol ;)

So who in your vision is warm and cuddly? In the football world that is?

There are hoards of professional players in the game who still display class, respect and dignity on and off the field in an exemplarily mannaer. Have you had the pleasure of having one your team you support who displays all those qualities? As I have so when I see divign spitting, face clutching I'm genuinely shocked and disgusted. Maybe its not such a shock to the system for arsenal, I don't know many seem so indifferent towards this behaviour

As for role models I've witnessed there is Scholes, M.Owen, Lampard, Seedorf, Henrick Larsson, Petit, Ryan Giggs and Torres are just a few great role models on and off the pitch. Who rarely resort to dirty cheAp lying scraping the bottom of barrel tactics who get intoxicated and take part in lewd behaviour.

I guess Manchester United have been blessed with many of these glorious proffesionals :PINKS:

As for role models I've witnessed there is Scholes, M.Owen,

Ok, i agree with Owen, Scholes to an extent but those leg breaking tackles and red mists we used to see of him for me shows he's not more a saint than the man you have been criticizing. Your in danger of looking like a hypocrite.

:LMAO: All he cares about is money!

, Seedorf, Henrick Larsson, Ryan Giggs

Back on the right track!

:CONFUSE:

and Torres

Who use to dive with regularity as anyone back in his Atletico days :SMUG:

The point is, Cesc is a good man very much on a level in terms of professionalism compared to many of the players you have listed here. Your attempts at trolling may work on many of the members here but i have just highlighted the holes in your argument :)

I agree scholes can sometimes be unsportsman like on the pitch, but off it he is a gentleman who Priories his family before anything else and is rarely a media whore looking for attention. Just keeps his head down and focused. So no I'm not a hypocrite. He's certaintly not the cleanest player in the game but as I said off it, many other prima donors who crave fame but when get complain they're not given any privacy, can learn a thing or two from the way scholes carries himself.

:LMAO: All he cares about is money!:)

I dont care whether all he cares about is money. On and offf the pitch he is not mean spirited or decieving. He gives a lot of his time to charities. he has carried himself throughout his entire career with professionalism, worked very hard and continues to do so, is an example that cannot help but become such a positive influence on a young player looking for a little direction

Who use to dive with regularity as anyone back in his Atletico days :SMUG::)

Thats the only issue I have with torres is that he can dive. However he gets the hell kicked out of him most of the time but still keeps fighting and never rises to it, I've never this lad kick out at anybody or have bad words to say, another who just keeps his head down. Off the pitch he gives to a lot of charities and is usually cool calm and collected and gracious

No I disagree, you wouldnt find any of the players I mentioned above doing any of the disgraceful acts fabregas has taken part in. The new pique incident is just a new low for football and just sums him up really - Spoilt, disloyal, petulant, lying, intoxicated sly decieving ungrateful prat.

What club do you support again? fuckn`el... forgive me but you sound intoxicated sly spoilt yourself atm. If you do support MUTD in recent years they won lots , they only know to win.Does this means you can tell everyone what`s wrong with every club under the sun? I remember you talking about my local club Miami FC and spot on ! not sure how the duck you knew things of a contract lawsuit that was close to the public. Maybe ,it`s a love for football global . Why can`t you come across as a gent then what you brought in like some sort of virus.

Don`t mean to put you out like this .I find no joy in doing so even if you do have a mod cheerleader on your side. Also, abou said "your like a breathe of fresh air" maybe for the muppet show. I rather we have a discussion of helpful criticism not trying to prove your wits. At the end of the day ... our say doesn`t change what the club does. I know some fans are narrow-minded and your job is to bring a wave of awakening for the better good a bit futile if you think about it.

I have a friend who is a sports journalist for a big paper and who regularly interviews sports figures from everywhere.
He told me that the nicest and most down to earth person he ever interviewed was...Cesc Fabregas. He said if there ever was one sports figure with which he would wanted to go a night out to have drink, it would be Fabregas.
The most unpretentious star in the sports world according to my friend...

hope so! anyways lets move on? anyone know if i need to be a member to buy tickets for the emirates cup

Let's instigate the moving on motion.

The Emirates Cup tickets have been on General Sale for quite a while now, and therefore you don't have to be a member to purchase them. However, if you want to buy them online you do have to register. But be quick! There are limited seats left in the lower tiers, although there are still lots of blocks in the upper tiers that have a plethora of seats left.

I would recommend becoming a Red member, as long as you can actually get to the stadium and can afford the tickets (which, during the season, will be high).
