Arsenal Thread

Is Wenger going to go back to the Chamakh talks in the transfer window? Anyway, if he came it would be after V. Persie recovers. We needed really a DMF to cover Song during the African Nations. Eboue might also take part in that...

Finally, agent silvestre will prove his worth!!!

Seriously though, what the heck is wrong with players these days? Bunch of pansies the lot of them.

Jesus christ! Doesn't help out med team's are shite also..

Kieran Gibbs, Gael Clichy, Robin van Persie, Abou Diaby, Aaron Ramsey, Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott, Denilson, Lukasz Fabianski, Carlos Vela, Jack Wilshere and Johan Djourou.

No but my point is that half our injuries are down to tackles.

I imagine half the injuries in football occur during tackles, not specific to Arsenal.

There's more to it than they just get kicked harder than any other players, even when on international duty.

Maybe the techniques and methods used to train these players up from a very young age has had some adverse affect and their bodies are not as strong as they should be?

Yea maybe. needs to be sorted though. Its getting redicolous now.

Right, so lets just see what we DO have. 1st eleven probably looks a little bit like this:

----------Almunia-------------

--------Gallas Vermaelen-------
Sagna-------------------Traore

-------------Song-------------
-------Fab----------Rosicky

Eboue :CONF:---------------Arshavin
------------Eduardo-------------

Not an awful first eleven. I would personally put Narsi in there for Eboue, or possibly Rosicky and put Nas in the 3rd midfield position. You just know Wenger will go for Eboue.

Who the hell is on the bench though? Mannone as keeper, Silvestre, possibly Senderos. The rest are going to be Carling Cup Kids(The CCK)!

I can't find a link to Ramsey's injury, is that confirmed?

Gibbs injured aswell, we are down to the bare bones now. Just got to hope we can keep all the other players fit otherwise we are fucked!!!

We had clichy injured, thats why gibbs was playing. Now Gibbs is injured, we still have traore and Silvestre. But we will still be much weaker on the left now. But again, how many times do you have your two left backs injured at the same time? and how many left backs should he have? I think he has enough, but we have been unfortunate again!

So you can stuff your laughy smiley up your arse :PP

But I just meant more in the fact that our squad now is fucked as we will have a pretty inexperienced bench to bring people on to the pitch.

But we were still well covered, but you cant predict the future and not many teams will cope with having the amount of players we have out at the moment?

Definitely well covered in forward areas, probably the best array of attacking options in the league.

But everywhere else...

Looking at it as I am from Wrexham fans :RSCARF: point of view, it seems the last few seasons you always get hit with injuries, whether it's down to bad luck or training or whatever, meaning less experienced if no less able players have to drop into the squad; ergo a bigger squad would be advisable.

I'm always amazed then when Arsen always says, they are more than capable at the beginning of each season with the squad he has, yet here you are again just getting a head of steam up and your down to the "bare bones" again...

Traore is injured, too, so it's Silvestre :(

You are missing my point, we always do get hit with injuries (more to bad luck I think). But Arsene can't buy in 5 left backs, 7 central defenders 20 midfielders and 15 attackers, just because we seem to be unlucky with injuries.

The only position IMO that we are lacking back up for is the defensive midfield spot.

At the moment we basically have a full team of 11 players out injured, you cannot predict that or bring in enough players to counter act if that might happen.

It`s called Football injuries are part of the game, whether its luck or lack of depth it`s all the same. These are the moments players need to step up and be accountable. If they step up they have a good chance if not you just keep Senderos company.

not saying he has to double up on every player, but he needs to look at some of the long term and regular crocks and at least have good cover for them and also given the number year on year I'd be questioning the staff...:P

I`m tickled Henry is Legend pulls another heartbreaking display over Keane :SNACK:

While I don't blame Henry at all for his actions (it's all the refs fault/FIFA for not evolving their beloved dark ages sport) I do think it's a bit rich to be happy about winning in that way. I still view our ending of your 49 game run as tarnished because of Rooney's dive. For me this should be the same.

exactly and henry was hardly celebrating and gloating after the match. the guy looked guilty and sad on what he did.

Rooney, gerrard and lampard are no better

Lampard is quite a fair player I'd say.

Ireland are right to feel 'cheated' and hard-done by. Henry is not a legend but at least he looked ashamed with himself afterwards. The situation is not much different to someone diving and winning a penalty, apart from this should have been easier for the officials to spot.

I'd be interested to hear more from Platini on the matter of video assistance now given its directly benefited his country in a huge, huge way.
