Say, what a great match for Fabregas! Match winning performance.

Great to have Almunia back. And how good was Eboue? Did I say Wenger should play him instead of Sagna? Becaus right now Sagna is still recovering from illness and Eboue gained back his confidence. That assist for Fab's 2nd was superb!

Eboue is a really good player when he's not diving and being a tit. All he needed was a bit of confidence. He's been great for a month or 2 now.

totally agree ;) I really liked Bendtner's perfomance, too
and great to have Djourou back, a relief to see Silvestre not anymore :P.

the kid was class today...

me thinks SAF will give him special attention on weds, maybe anderson on fletch will be man marking him...

Could be a dangerous policy. Leave space for Nasri and Walcott at your peril. I think it's an overstatement to suggest that if you stop Fabregas you stop Arsenal. He's the best passer of the ball at the club but I doubt there will be too many quarterback style cross-field balls in the two Utd fixtures. It will be all quick, one-touch triangles IMO.

I am getting excited about wednesday!

Just reading some bits and bobs about it - I am getting little footballing butterflies in my tummy!

I think we can get a result at old trafford - Get a couple of away goals ;)) :DD

COME ON ARSENAL!!!!

I'm not naive to think that stopping Cesc is the key....

but we've done it in the past to decent effect...

could be a couple of great games!

I think Anderson V Fabregas will be good as usual. Walcott's pace worries me! he's turning into a World Class player IMO and with Rooney someone England will rely on for the next decade. I think they'll try to get Walcott to target Evra after Lennon did him for the 100th time.

I think if we can keep a clean sheet we'll be happy even if that means a 0-0.

Seing how SAF was at the Emirates and saw Fab's movement off the ball and that, he will most certainly set individual marking on him.

Should be a great match and hopefully with Ade back we can grab away goals! RVP will be missed though...

Our defence needs to be on top of their game though - Man United can be frightening attacking! Hopeully we keep calm though and try and get our passing game going. But any mistakes and we will definately be punished. Also Arshavin won't be playing and we will miss him :((

Hopefully Walcott and Nasri Step up and Adebayor can show us what he is all about and put some effort into the game!!

Got my ticket for the Emirates next week :BOP:

I have a strange, almost fatalistic feeling about this fixture. Almost like we have nothing to lose, but in many ways we have everything to lose. Part of me feels there is no shame in going out to the European and English Champions, so in that sense losing is nothing to fear. Winning however would put this Arsenal team on the map and in a second CL final in four years.

I'm sure I'll be in a mess next week, but I'm going into these two games with a determination to enjoy the spectacle and not get too wrapped up in the consequences. It really should be a tie to remember, hopefully for the right reasons.

Nice one - It should be an amazing game!

In that sense, you guys will enjoy the game a lot more than us. If you lose then theres no shame. If you win, you're gonna love it so much more than we ever would if we won.
All I want to say is if you beat us, I hope you guys go on to win the cup. For some weird reason, I'm sure I'll enjoy it as much as every gooner here.
Good Luck.

Thats nice :DD

Yeah I'd like to see Arsenal win it too, although I don't want you to beat us to do it :D.

If you do knock us out though I'll root for you to win it.

I think a lot of United fans will probably feeling the way me and Jumbo are. Partly because (atleast IMO anyway) regardless of whether or not you're in the battle for the top spot in the league, the club have always kept their class, loyalty and respect. And with Wenger's time at the club running out, I'd really like to see him walk away with atleast one European Cup.

Ahh, see how cordial we've all become since the end of the Vieira/Keane era? :P

Part of me wishes this fixture had come up during that time of animosity!

If I'm honest, I'll be rooting for Barca if we go out simply because I'd love to see our old captain get what he most desires, and deserves frankly. If it's a repeat of last year's final then Utd all the way. I have no love for sh*tbag Chel$ki.

Yeah I feel exactly the same :DD

 I think its the fact last season we won the CL for the first time in 9 odd seasons and we were desperate to get our hands on it. Last year when we got into the semi's I was in pure shock and joy.

This year it just seems like another big match. I think the fact we've been here last year and are the current holders makes me feel like "even if we don't win I doubt we'll have a 10 year drought again" While your in the position we were. You've never won the European Cup and is the the main trophy that the club or Wenger have never won. This match is so much bigger for you lot than it is for us.

On the other leg I'll be rooting for Barça for the sake of good football and because I want revenge! If we manage to beat United, then it would mean we could beat them as well.

Even if United goes to the final against Barça I'm not sure I would support our old captain. As you can see I'm still bitter :P

well said

Just another supporting voice. If we go out to you lot, really hope Wenger gets his CL trophy. He deserves it. In a sense you guys are better positioned than anyone in terms of focus. But injuries (as always) have hurt you, and not being able to field Arshavin is a big blow.

Given how well the counterattacking worked against Pool (in an away goals sense) I wouldn't be too surprised if you set up that way. United have been ridiculously bad at taking their chances this year (screw that actually, have been awful since Ruud left) so you can afford to defend deep imo. I'd certainly fancy Walcott to get some success against the shadow of Evra that we've been playing this year. I think Ade will be a bit isolated though, and Fabregas will be needed in defence.

I predict a 2-1 to us, which is probably a good enough score for both sides given away goal rules...
