Robin is so close to be on fire... Nasri was good he just holds on to the ball too much and Bendtner was shocking upfront. Vela needs to start playing
 
Vela and Song NEED to start playing, and not in the Mickey Mouse Cup either. Denilson doesn't look comfortable in the DM position, he is far too lightweight, Song needs to play there, I think he's a natural DMF.

To be honest - our defence didn't have anything to do. We hardley got out of first Gear and we beat them 4-0.

I think it is quite encouraging.

Hopefully this game gives Walcott a lift and Van Persie isn't far away from being on form.

I also think Song should start - see what he can do.

Bendtner looked really off last night - really sluggish. I hope he sorts himself out.
 
I think he'll suit your style. Not sure about your needs.

He's more of an attacking midfielder, from what I've seen. Has got decent pace, good technique, and likes to make late runs into the box. Scores quiet a few goals, and has a great free kick, and terrific off the ball movement.

He isn't what you need though. He's not exactly strong, doesn't track back to win the ball much, and defensive positioning is poor. He'd basically play where Fabregas should.

I read couple of articale's in the papers and they read that he is a tough tackler...Are the papers saying what we want to hear??

No - what Abhi has described is how he plays.

The Sun don't know shit about any targets. It's prob just the players agent mincing for a move.

Silvestre is the experienced EPL player that was talked about...?

Though, I'd like it alot if Bouba Diop would come.

So lets see if i understand, AW has 30M to spend, he lost Flamini, Alexander Hleb and Gilberto, bought only Samir Nasri (12M) and Mikael Silvestre(>1M), he still had at Least 15M, yet arsenal still needs one DM but AW doesn't buy one, maybe he is still awaiting the kid to be born since he only buys kids because Emirates Stadium was being built and he wants to experiment, using a EPL team, only using youth (which i find really well, for an academy not a professional EPL team), and not buying experienced needed players to win something. Well i think i got it, thnx...

He just doesn't want to waste money and refuses to spend over the odds for players.

To be honest I think Diaby could play really well with Fabregas and also Song. So we just have to wait and see.

But there is no doubt our squad is thin and that is what needs to be sorted out. We don't need a 30m player - we just need more quality back up players - so if there is an injury then we have cover.

This is the thing that frustrates me with Wenger.

I do think this is the last season Wenger will get to keep having faith with his young players. If nothing happens this season then he will have to start making positive signings and strengthening the squad and getting rid of the deadwood.

But who would have thought Flamini would step up like he did last season? - I think Diaby and Song could step up and if they do - then we can have a very successful team.

People just need to be a bit patient. Only two games have gone by this season. With the quality of the other teams in the Premiership rising - I don't think the team who wins the league will have anything near the points Man U had last season. So there is still a bit of Leeway (Is that how you spell it?)

Anyway - Lets at least see how we play tomorrow - If we lose and Newcastle play us off the park at the Emirates. Then lets start the bitching and moaning a bit more.

But people need to chill out!!
 
Dude, you guys need a DM and Denilson isn't that great at it and some1 that is doing a position where he is not familiarized and as a percentage of 81% wrong passes in a game (your last for the EPL), there must be something wrong in the midfield...

Whatever about us having the hardest group, I feel sorry for the other 3 teams in our group, it really is them that should be afraid.
 
what `s more frustrating is Frizsman said if a player cost 30mil we can buy him NOW! but Wenger is old school who probably doesnt have a Laptop or notebook either. I still think he`ll try and get 2 players by deadline 1 good and 1 unheard of . Im not bothered :FISH: I think we`ll get somebody proper :LIE:

Denilson is a good player - he had a terrible game then. He has played many other times for us and got alot of praise - so don't write him off after one game.

But I said either Diaby or Song - they would suit playing side by side with Fabregas alot better.

But Denilson will come good.

But I would love us to buy a great defensive midfielder - but we have to wait and see if it happens.
 
Senderos had his first press conference today. Leaving ability aside, he seems like a very nice guy, and spoke almost perfect Italian... bloody Swiss people!!!! Took number 24.
 
Woah, van Persie is in great shape, he's playing really well. You lot are outplaying Newcastle and should have scored a few more goals already if it wasn't for Given. It's looking promising. :))
 
Great game, When Barton got subbed on I could already see from his face he's a twat. He even managed to piss off Nasri, I wonder how many fights he'll be in this season.

Anyway great game, shame about VP getting hurt again.
 
I lol'd at that last goal. I only saw the goals, totally for got about football except for our game against porto tonight lol.
