I think Silvestre was a good signing, and its not his fault that Arsenal were mediocre against Fulham and WBA. Denilson, imo, is crap, and a lot worse than Gilberto. Eboue seemed clueless and seems like he can't play in midfield, he really should be on the flanks. It seemed as if Arsenal lacked a sense of direction and were kind of just passing it about.
 
They just need Fabregas back, he really does run things for Arsenal. With him in the team you're a completely different proposition. All this calling for Wenger's head is ridiculous... Fulham aren't that bad a team now with Hodgson in charge, he's got them playing good football and they're on the up.

I also think Silvestre was a brilliant signing, he's got loads of experience in general and also of winning things, he's better than Senderos and Djourou and can also cover left back, something Traore proved last season he's not quite up to yet. His signing does not mean that Wenger isn't still going to bring in a CM (as he has made clear he's still looking for one), he just saw the opportunity to make a shrewd bit of business and he did it, you should all stop being so childish about it and look at the bigger picture.

I think you'll be fine this season.
 
silvestre was a shrewd piece of business done by the prof which we don't know yet will be successful or not. They were missing a person who pulls the strings and pushes the team ahead. Fabregas is that person is kinda player... eboue isn't to be played in that position he should be in the flanks or should be benched... they missing diaby. Lets see if the prof purchases another player before the close of the window... barry maybe??
 
Also i don't think anyone can do what helb did in the team... No going for glory just kept the team ticking... Nasri a good signing but for Wenger to compare him with Helb strange.... i don't agree...

that was the original plan but the dumb people who lived next to highbury diddnt wanna sell out. arsenal where offering to move them into a new property but they was having none of it

Senderos to Milan?!? Till Silvestre came Arsenal needed more CB now they're too many?
Does AW think Djourou is better than Senderos?

And still no news about a CMF...

I'm a little confused and pessimistic about Arsenal this year. The team is clearly lacking even more than last year.
 
Senderos has gone on Loan. I'm thinking of going for a trial so that i can fill that DMF spot. I dont know what the hell is Wenger smoking!! Why cant he know that we are clearly short of players and instead players are going on loan. Who the hell is going to play then!! Shit!! I felt like suiciding after that Fulham match. We lost to a derby for christsakes!
 
yeeaaah!! please! even if you don't play at least you can fix Eboue for an Eduardo type period.

V. Kompany was the perfect man! better than anyone we have as a DMF and even as CB. Even De Rossi is a top notch DMF, c'mon you just gotta try and you're bound to find some good replacements.

there's not even speculation about a move...don't think anything will happen really.

doesn't AW think he overloads the youngsters?! every kid needs someone too look up to and to grow alongside with.
 
Its already the fourth time i say this, but again, Arsenal are starting to look like an academy and less a club, each season they buy youngsters but to one to tutor them. AW must have something in mind but from what i have seen he is missing many team key players, this season will be Hell if he doesn't buy some old players in time.
 
he hasn't bought them till now... you think he will till 31 august?
IMO Arsenal need a real goalscoarer, a dominan DMF and a tall, strong CB. but i've had this thought for a year.

things seem to be getting worse and worse each year. i wont be surprised if walcott is our oldest player next season 09-10. Wenger is realy starting to piss me off. its as if he is doing this on purpose to fuck up our club and send us back to the stone age fighting for relegation.

i am seriously worried in where arsenal is heading right now.

Lets see how we play against Newcastle - If we kick their arses 5-0 then all this will be forgotten :-pp

I will only start questioning Arsene if we lose in the cups early on and are not in the top 4 at the end of the season - then I will start getting pissed off.
 
i'm not pissed off at all, really. i think the way the team is built is beautiful it just needs some key ingredients wich AW clearly has no clue of cuz he did get them for some time now.
this way we'll always be the beautiful team wich almost gets there.
 
There arent many managers in the world who could have dragged you guys to where you are today. But its sad to see him work so hard evey year and then have all his hard work undone at the end of the season when people leave or when you guys have injuries.
 
i think you guys need to cool your beans and stop acting as if the seasons already over. a win and a loss isnt a great start but it isnt terrible either and im pretty sure things will start to click once the season gets into full flow. its only been 2 games, give the team a chance and stop being so pessimistic.

im not saying our season is over but the way wenger is approaching this season is shocking. letting glberto, hleb and flamini go was a big mistake. and Even a bigger mistake on not replacing AND adding more depth and experience in our squad.

we have 6 days to replace those players at least and i DOUBT wenger is gunan go off and buy 3 new players let alone one. O and kids dont count

That is crazy - We don't have enough quality cover at the back, god knows why he has done this.

I know Senderos Quality comes into question - but he is a good back up player and I still rate him. He is better than the others we have.
 
I think we will beat Twente, now that even Fabregas is also back. So CL qualifiers is not a problem for us. But the future games surely are. I dont understand, we have the money but we still dont buy. Now even, Inler has refused to sign for Arsenal. We had agreed personal terms with Alonso but then due to Liverpool's 16M price and Arsenal wanting him for 10M, we pulled out apparently from the bid. And O'Neill says there hasnt been any contact for Barry either. So what now?? Eboue is gonna play DMF?? or that Diaby, who thinks twice before passing and wants to get Red-Carded, or the Kid Denilson, whos good but inexperienced.
I clearly Remember Wenger saying that he will buy an experienced guy from England, I hope that doesnt conclude with the purchase of Silvestre. I really Hope!!
 
I'm sorry, just got back from vacation, checked it's not April fool's - Senderos has gone to Milan? Silvestre to Arsenal? What. Is. Going. On. ?

It's like the twilight zone!
