Arsenal Thread

what if Bendtner ,Walcott or Robin staying fit steps up honestly ..what`s important for a striker is service ,take away the service and you`ll have a struggling striker.Ade receive some great ball and made 40% in the goal ,I personally will miss him ,but a happy camp is better for the club. I`m more concern for the toure and gallas partnership and a good back-up CB more than anything

I might be wrong but Bendtner needs to start more games rather than coming of the sub bench to improve same goes with Walcott.

Think Wenger might play them more Regularly in the starting eleven, but we need someone who can convert atleast 60-70% of the chancesTHIS SEASON.Never know abt Robin's Fitness, always good to have quality on the bench.

I seriously think we need another strong Character at the back along with Toure, don't know if that is going to happen but i hope we get someone.

At last, 10 goals in 3 seasons is not good enough. He has mad dribbling skills and his ball retention is great BUT not enough goals and assists. Bye Bye Alex its been frustrating....

He was just too inconsistant - Maybe his game will be more suited to the Spanish Game. But he just wasn't right for us.

He was very skillfull and Talented and was just so frustrating to know he had so much ability and rarely we saw it.

He really does have the ability to be one of the best midfielders in the world I think - But his attitude needs to change quite a bit in order for that to happen.

I can't say I will wish him luck - As I don't feel much for him. I think most Arsenal Fans would feel the same.

that's what happens with eastern european players. it's not a rule, but many times they have alot of talent, but they aren't properly trained from the youth teams to the senior big teams in their countries.
if we get Nasri in Hleb's place it's a very good thing IMO.
What do u guys think of Alou Diarra? He's the type of DMF i prefer.
I don't like the idea of playing with Song as a DMF or a CB.
We also have Djourou, but he's needs to improve...alot.
we'll always be almost there without proper tall, strong defenders.

p.s.: Hleb means bread. :)

Just from what you were saying, echoed in ArseBlog...

Strange one really, I didn't think there was any prospect of him going there. Sport runs with a headline saying HLEB: SIGNED while El Mundo has even put a 'Best of Hleb' YouTube video on their homepage. The Spanish press reckon we've been paid €15m which could possibly rise to €18m if Hleb scores more than 3 goals a season..... so €15m it is.

:D

well unless Reading is going to La Liga 15 it is :)) cya Hleb I just got over that late tackle in the CL in the 90th min vs PSV too! oh well A dios!

I liked Hleb but the stats don't lie. Is there any news on the striker front, every time i tune into sky all I see is another of your lot leaving...

Fuck knows. With Laporta now looking to be axed, and 8 of his directors resigning, a new president will be coming in.

I like Adedingdong, but he, and Hleb, are acting like proper bell ends. Before Ade came to Arsenal, no one gave a shit about him, and one purple patch later, his ego tells him he is on par with Henry...pffff.

Remember this is the same dude who was still celebrating when Babel burst into our box in the CL game at Anfield. This is the same dude who gets the theme song "one in four, adebayor... he scores one in four."

Would love to see him stay, but if he doesn't want to stay, then cash in on the cunt before his ego weighs down the price next season.

Would like to see another target man come in, but i really think it'll only be Nasri this summer.

Prof will play Fabuloso with Ramsey/Song. Rosick-note/Walcott and Nasri to complement.

h8 to bust that theory but Laporta won the election by 30% voting margin last Sunday until 2010 ,but he was more concern to win then getting anybody on board tbh

Barca board members quit
Laporta facing new crisis at Camp Nou

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has seen eight board members resign following an emergency meeting.

Laporta is under increasing pressure at Camp Nou after losing a vote of confidence, although the motion did not force a new election.

The situation prompted an emergency board meeting to be called on Thursday, only for Laporta's administration to encounter a fresh setback.

First vice-president Albert Vicens has stepped down, along with sports vice-president Marc Ingla, vice-president for finance Ferran Soriano and five other board members.

Vicens released a statement after his resignation to explain the reasons behind the eight board members' decision to quit.

"The reasons that have led us to make this decision are based on the discrepancy about what actions to take following the result of the vote of no confidence on Sunday," said Vicens.

"In our view, Sunday's result expressed the majority's discontent with this board of directors and, given that the motion has not prospered, it recommended a substantial and immediate change in the government of the club.

"This opinion is not shared by the president and the group of directors that have decided to continue managing the club.

"We understand our proposal to have offered the club stability and social peace in an immediate and medium term way."

not conclusive, but shaky nonetheless.

Nasri joins Arsenal!

Finally! One of the longest ever transfers that I can remember is finally completed! Phew!

Good addition IMO.

Hleb must be going it seems....what a shame :-pp

Nice one - Good Bye Hleb you moany bastard!!!

Good luck in that Peaceful, tranquil, Rural Oasis of Barcelona - Where there are no Cars and People talk with a Whisper.

Hopefully Nasri is not a whinging bastard - Fingers crossed.

One of the most protracted transfers ever! I though we'd miss out in the end to be honest.

Later Hleb... don't let the door hit you on the way out.... you tit.

God I love Arsenal.

I went for a walk early evening yesterday - I hadn't visited my folks in a while. So I walked from my flat in Stoke Newington to Holloway where my parents live.

I walked past the emirates and it is so peacful around there out of matchday - You have a few people milling about - but it is just so nice.

It made me feel like a little kid again (Even though I used to walk around Highbury when I was younger :-pp ) - I think it was the time of day aswell - but it just felt so nice.

I started to think about old times and it made me feel all warm and cosey inside.

Just wanted to share that with you all :DD

even thought i dont support the arsenal, im still jealous as hell! :)

I'm jealous of the people that have got the new flats that have been built all around the outside of the Emirates - I would love to have one of them.

I did actually enquire about getting one - but the ones I wanted and I could afford, were all for 'Key Workers' Boooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

I will it`s just hard atm... I`ve been to Highbury but never the Emirates. I made it a top priority to visit the Emirates even saw a rental in Islington for the weekend.I just need to give a date for availability. It`s usually Feb. or March watching Sunderland or WBA ain`t the best to watch especially at 237.78 x 2. Funny the times I saw Arsenal I wasn`t really into them like I am now..go figure. I hope the dollar can catch up a bit FFS! nearly $200 for a Fab jersey

WAA? I go Texas quite a bit to see mi familia and the Arsenal shirt in Sports Authority in Dallas is $69.99

You should come stay at Hilton Islington. Quite near Emirates - about 20 min walk.
