Arsenal Thread

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

okay guys a more serious point.............

TOURE IS GOING TO AFRICA NATIONS CUP

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

sorry forgot to add..........

I dont think Senderous is up to it and with FA+CARLING+CL and PREMIERSHIP we need to toughen that defence with some steel, who would you recommend?

Im talking about a World Class Defender to sure up our chance of winning the EPL, I would prefer an Argentine defender they always classy and rock hard.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

Over to you guys now. Much rather you won it than the Mancs or cheating Chelsea. At least you play some nice football :)

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

seems like a good idea, play gilberto in the middle as a sweeper in front of the Center Backs, with Flamini and Fabregas in the middle pushing on in attack and adebayor as the lone striker...

But will surely miss Toure with his strength in defence and in setplays...:(

Wenger plays 442 or 451 his teams NEVER play 3 at the back. We have enough cover for Toure, Wenger rates Djourou highly.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

The real question is can you risk defensive lapses at this point in the season, which are bound to come when Mr.senderos takes to the feild....

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

Senderos ain't as bad as you lot make out, maybe he needs another run in the side to prove you wrong. Short memories spring to mind do you not remember how well he played in the Champions League run we had a couple of seasons ago? He was part of the back 4 that set a new record for not conceding a goal in something like 10 hours of football.

Yeah - I like Senderos and I hope he plays like he did back then again. But I still don't feel confident of having him at the back at the moment.

I really want him to do well though and he has definately got it in him to be brilliant - I just hope he fulfils it and on a consistant basis. But it also must be hard when you don't get games all the time.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

Senderos is mildly better than Titus Bramble ... :(

Rubbish!! Titus Bramble has never even matched the level Senderos has played at and is capable of playing at again.

Two seasons ago he was fantastic - thats the problem though, it was two seasons ago. A player his age should be getting better, not worse. But I do think it is lack of games.

I think he will come good again - hopefully during the African cup :)

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

Got to agree with clocky. It normally takes 3-4 games for Phil to regain his confidence, however, in that time, he makes some silly judgements.

However, don't forget, he was part of the defence in the Champ League that held the record for clean sheets!

I think we'll be ok. We have enough cover with Djourou back as well.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

i dont like senderos, he has had lots of chances to prove himself before, what makes you guys think his up for it this time?

Hey don't tarnish us with Chelsea's brush. We have ALWAYS played high-tempo, exciting football under Fergie. :)

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

I don`t like Phil Shitderos.... Djourou has been playing regular for City which I find more stronger than in your back pocket Phil...sorry Clock :)

Just heard Lemon is signing for Dortmund tomorrow.

He has made all arsenal fans not give a shit! I for one loved him at Arsenal, but all his bitching and moaning has left a bitter taste.

I will remember the good times though and will remember him fondly :)

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

so any of you guys think that the Prof is going to make any new signings??

Yes, immortalised in this video, CL record (with Vince the squirrel).

I still think we should play 3 at the back though while Toure is out, if you look at our fixtures (in the league I mean) during the tournament I think it's feasible to do, I mean man City away might be a slight problem but our next HUGE game in the league is not until March 22nd against Chelsea in my opinion.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

You do realise that playing 3 at the back just means you'll actually be playing 5 when your wingers have to do the defending. Playing 3 means they'll all have to be center backs and you'll have no full backs which means your wingers are gonna be doing their work. Any team that has overlapping full backs with good wingers are gonna murder you on the attack cuz you'll always be outnumbered. You'll only be strong in the center of the field, nowhere else.

Terry injury fear hits Blues
Reports suggest skipper could miss rest of season

Chelsea fear skipper John Terry could be ruled out for the rest of the season, according to reports.

The England captain fractured three bones in his right foot in a challenge with Emmanuel Eboue during the 1-0 defeat by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on 16th December.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Back to the Top!!

Credit to Burnley for coming out and having a good old hack at us. My opinion on Eduardo is changing extremely fast, he played out of his skin today, what a nice touch he has. I like the Robbie Fowler comparison.
