Arsenal Thread

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Still top!

Well done to Boro, we were shite though.

With Bolton beating United last month and now this it shows that the PL is in fact a competitive league.

Its a disappointing today but lets put everything into perspective:

* No-one fancied us to be top or even 4th at the start of the season.
* We are currently missing 3 of our most important players and are still top of the league with nearly half the season gone.
* All Arsenal fans would have taken a 1 point lead at the top going into the Chelsea game next week if offered it at the start of the season.
* The title race is going to be very exciting all the way to the end of the season which has to be good for the game as a whole.

Merry Christmas Gooners it could be worse!! ;)

PL a competetive league? the same exact 4 teams are in the race as usuall... nothing new here... you have the odd 5th team which sometimes is spurs sometimes another team like bolton, and now this year its man city... but those teams are never consistently in the top 5, but pool, chelski, arse and manu certainly are, so i dont know how thats competitive when its still the same old same teams contending for the title.. its exciting, but competitive?

Of course you are right, maybe competitive was the wrong word to use. The point I was trying to make was that teams at the bottom can beat the top teams, anyone can beat anyone and in that respect its competitive.

^^:lmao: at your avatar Plan M !!

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Still top!

at the top sure, but not at the bottom, the financial disparity is ridiculous..

It sure beats watching the MLS and it's overpaid "superstars". (Cobie Jones?!) :lmao:

Anyway, can't wait for Arsenal v Chelsea. Should be a cracker.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Still top!

Really apreciated van Persie's return tonight... we clearly saw a more consistent offensive play by the Arsenal and I'm really looking forward to a win on Sunday

Don't write off Chelsea that easily mate. Saying that, they looked rubbish and clueless without Drogba on Tuesday night although to be fair they did hit the woodwork. I hate watching them play, so damn boring.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Still top!

Whats the betting we get Barcelona in the draw? Its in the script surely for Henry to return and hopefully get dumped out!!

You heard it here first!

The teams we can get are Inter, AC Milan, Porto, Real Madrid or Barca.

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Still top!

Love to see Arsenal play Barca again , Lehmann really fucked up their gameplan last time also the fact Henry is their would spice it up actually think he wont even play to be fair as i think Eto'o will keep him out of the team

Re: The ARSENAL Thread - Still top!
