I meant by the way of signings and real squad enhancement. Hasn't he always asked this question whenever Arsenal have offered him a new contract? I know the youngsters have come through, but this alone obviously isn't enough to sustain a season. Henry said recently, "Everyone knows all our resources went into building the new stadium. Maybe if we didn't have a new stadium then we would have had more players and maybe done better". He sounds slightly disappointed.

I would hate it to happen, but leaving may be best for him. Can Arsenal continue to compete when their buying power is so weak?

Ouch. Just heard some bad news.

I'm not the type to shit stir, but if I've got information to share then I always will in an appropriate manner. A friend of mine works for a book publishers who have the licence to print the Arsenal annuals and other Arsenal related books. He just called me to say that today, a recent submission of an Arsenal book has been rejected by Arsenal as they've now requested that any mentions or references to Thierry Henry are to be removed. This happend just before Vieria and Anelka were sold apparently, so it tends to be a bad omen.

Now, it is a possibility the club are just waiting to see how things pan out and don't want to risk having a flagship publication with Henry's mush all over it if he's off, but it does at least suggest not all is rosy in camp Titi.

You've gotta get the Cygan Tattoo thats quality!!!

If Henry wants to go - he should just say so - fuck off quickly, so we can get a replacement (Not that anyone can replace him).

I'd rather we sell him now and get a decent amount of cash for him.

I've said it before, if a player does not want to play for us and is not up for it, there is no point keeping them.

We can give Toure the armband or Gilberto (If he stays) and get a quality striker to partner Van Persie. I also think Adebayor will be a great player next season.

The one thing is even if Henry stays, we need to buy quality players - not any more 11 year olds with potential - we need resultsnow because the excuses are wearing thin.
 
Wenger has already blurted "i will only buy exceptional players"...

Alex Song fits nicely in that category.

Fuck know what's gwaanin' this close season. Always seems to be our club too. I guess if we were consistent - and successful - this would not happen.
 
You're skint. It will take a few years to rebuild with money from the emirates. As long as you stay in the top 4, you'll be okay.

Paddy was always moaning about the clubs supposed lack of ambition and poor signings, which at the mo looks justified....

Henry doesnt exactly help, I mean to complain about Dein going is one of the strangest things I've heard from a player....

Again today the press is saying Wenger is speaking to Barca about a £20mill deal...
 
Thanks for the headsup vann. Yes i agree. We always have players who never answer questions with closed questions. They're always open to interpretation/gossip.

Henry doesn't help by saying 'no!' to this reports of moving to Barcelona. Last year, it's where his heart was, this year it's not.

i give up on these primadonnas.
 
You might as well cash in now before he becomes useless. You showed last year against us at Old Trafford that if you're really determined, you can win without him.
 
Henry will be a big blow and looking back when paddy left then pires and now, Henry no doubt Ljungberg ...If he expects a new face w/o epl experience is going to come and pick up where (some started) is smoking , snorting and injecting illusions. Saying all that I do trust AW, Can it be that he`s stirring up and baking something special? it`s all the ingredients that got`s me wondering (how is the mix going to be like? need more sugar please!)summer seems longer than usual, Hell I even see Reyes coming back if he leaves

Reyes was always good but you were never gonna get anything out of him if he didnt want to play for you in the first place.
And now one season on loan and he wins a title. If anything, that just convinced him even more that he made the right move by leaving you guys.

The good news for you guys is that his performance showed you can demand more money for him when he's sold.

He was dreadful. When a strikers second touch is always a slide tackle to win back the ball, that just says enough.

I thought he was amazing against 'pool in the Carling Cup, but then so was Aliadiere.
 
Baptista has been sent back, you won't see him in the red and white ever again!! :lol:

Hopefully Reyes will be sold too, we don't want players who want to be somewhere else. Get Babel in!!
